I haven't had a good crab cake in a long time so this was a great surprise. Super flavorful and fresh and not overshadowed by the rest of the items on the sandwich. The brussel sprouts. Incredible. Mapley and toasted perfectly I was such a fan Staff was not super friendly and felt rushed even though it was empty.

Food was well plated. Service was attentive. Ambiance was eclectic and friendly. I would go again, the cost was realistic, portion sizing was accommodating and quality overall was better than most.

this is my second time here and i think i might like it more as a lunch place than brunch. i did the restaurant week option where i did the fruit tart and the eggs in purgatory. the presentation of everything was great but didnt come out as i expected from the menu

I had a huge lunch, so I was only going to order a "small" side... but they kept telling me they were "small", so I ordered 2! These were not "small" and unfortunately for my waistband they were both delicious... Brussels (tangy salty sweet) and crab mac (Briney, creamy, cheesy) and I felt worse than after lunch... but the bloat was worth it. Ambiance is garden tavern, service was friendly at the bar, and prices were aligned with portion and quality. This joint makes the list!

I have always had this restaurant on my Yelp list so a good gf decided to bring me here for a birthday treat. I love a good treat and the ability to try out a new restaurant. The atmosphere is quite nice and cozy. We were immediately greeted up arrival and seated near the window in the front . I ordered the Caesar salad with added tomato and onion, alcoholic specialty drink (forgot the name), wings and Brussels sprouts. Our service was great as we were checked on frequently. The love the Baltimore signage as it represents our city so well. I toured the upstairs and located an upstairs, outdoor seating and the bar area which is great for private parties. Street parking~so definitely grab the first park you see. I will definitely return again.

Went back to Wicked Sisters after many years! Still a fun place. Met some friends for happy hour and sat at the bar. Our bartender was great! The happy hour specials are pretty good. I enjoyed everything I had. My only real complaint was that it's not well insulated and I had to keep my coat on! I need to return for brunch!

Nooo... I'm so sad. This was a place I could always rely on. Today it all changed. My wife and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary so we naturally chose Wicked Sisters. I don't know what happened. Our server was awesome and that's pretty much where the glowing review stops. Our food and drinks were so disappointing. My wife got the insanity burger cooked medium. It came out pretty much rare and everything the burger and fries were extremely salty. Needless to say she didn't eat any of her fries and somehow ate 1/2 of the burger. I ordered the meatballs and a side of roasted veggies. The roasted veggies were ok a little mushy more than roasted. The meatballs was temperature wise warm and the sauce tasted like it was Ragu. I literally can make better meatballs. The side of bread was impossible to eat. It was beyond hard like a brick. I didn't want to break my teeth. My guava lemonade was also not drinkable. Way too sour. Our sweet server was so nice and I only asked for the drink to be removed. I should have said something about our food but I didn't. We have decided to take a break from this place after our disappointing meal. Obviously something is off with the cooks. We even overheard a couple mention that the Brussels sprouts are not the same anymore and went downhill. Now my stomach hurts and I'm not sure if it's from the food or all the wanted I drank from only eating some of the food. Anyone want leftovers?

My husband and I drove out to Wicked Sisters specifically to try their Smith Island Cake because I'd been looking for it at different places with no luck. This place not only had it, but offered different flavors, which was a nice surprise. We came pretty late in the evening when it was pretty empty, and we were seated right away. Our server was great, and dessert came out quickly. The cake itself was good. That said, the location isn't ideal and there's no designated parking lot/area. Also, while our server was great, some of the other staff weren't as professional. Since it was slow, I get that they wanted to chat, but some personal conversations were definitely loud enough to hear and honestly, felt a bit inappropriate for a work setting.

Right when we entered, we were greeted by the hostess and she sat us down. Our server, Baxter, was great and friendly. I really enjoyed the Saffron Sunset cocktail ($16). The saffron flavor was unique and really pulled through with a slight sweetness from the honey and tartness from the passion fruit. Hugo Spritz ($14) was refreshing as well. I came during restaurant week where two brunch items were $25, I really enjoyed the Deviled Egg Trio. each egg had a different topping. There was curry seasoning, smoked salmon with capers and lump crab with old bay. All three tasted great my favorite was the lump crab deviled egg. The Summer Berry Tart was also very delicious. It was a puff pastry with fresh berries, mascarpone cream and drizzled with honey. It was a perfect balance between rich, tart and sweet - although they could've added more berries. The ambience of Wicked Sisters is very casual and was really giving brunch vibes. They have an outdoor patio and two floors of indoor seating. My only complaint was the bathroom was not very clean on both the first and second floor.

TRISTAN is AMAZING! I loved his energy as soon as we walked in. I loved his cocktails that he made, and I love his sense of humor! He is going to be an awesome asset to wicked sisters. It was my first time going there this past Wednesday, and he perfectly crafted my drinks. I literally love him. I will only come back for him. Lol Oh and the food was amazing.

Heads up this place is not in the greatest area, street parking only, but the inside of the place is very modern. Not only was the inside very clean but it had cute quotes around the different spaces. The service was great with our large group of people and all of our dishes came out at the same time. The food was had large portions and was delicious. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and had different flavors.

I visited Golden West Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with a moderately large group (7 people). We were originally hoping for a brunch reservation but could only snag a 3 PM slot -- a testament to how incredibly popular they are -- although we ended up being ready at 2 PM and called ahead to ask if they could seat us earlier. They, very graciously, were able to make space for us to come a tad earlier. The food was absolutely incredible -- it was some combination of American comfort and Mexican / Latin American, with classic Mexican items like huevos ranchos, fish tacos, and enchiladas right next to traditional American brunch selections like chicken and waffles, hot cakes, and so forth. Their menu is also remarkably vegetarian / vegan-friendly, and it features their own house-made vegan chicken! We decided to split a few items, including the zucchini brie hot cakes, fish tacos, and vegan hot honey chicken and waffles. All three were outstanding, but my favorite had to be the zucchini brie hot cakes. The cakes were remarkably soft and fluffy, and I loved the bit of sweetness from the zucchini (and maple syrup, of course), and the extra hit of rich creaminess and savoriness from the brie. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo, and it was easily one of the biggest surprises of the meal. The rest of the items were also delicious, although not quite as wowing. The fish tacos were well-fried and flavorful, and I was quite impressed by how crispy and thin their accompanying fries were. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hot honey vegan chicken and waffles, but I was, admittedly, a little bit thrown off by the texture of both. It's very possible that the waffle had just gotten a bit soggy because I ate this dish last and it wasn't quite at its peak freshness. Either way, I really enjoyed my time here, and it's 100% worth I try. I can't wait to make my way back to Hampden to sample the rest of their menu!

Golden West Cafe…read more First visit to Hampden and Golden West Cafe -- and it definitely lived up to the hype. Drinks: Baltimore Vice -- strawberry-forward with a Don Q rum float, coconut foam, and freeze-dried strawberries. Light, refreshing, and very easy to drink. Piñata Riot -- a tequila twist on a jungle bird. Slightly bitter, tropical, and well-balanced. Both cocktails were solid and worth ordering again. Food: Green Chili Burger -- while it didn't quite hit true Albuquerque green chile standards, it was still flavorful and satisfying. A strong menu option. Zucchini Brie Pancake -- the standout dish. Unexpectedly balanced between sweet and savory, rich without being too heavy, and something I'd absolutely reorder. Overall: Great first impression. The menu has a lot of variety, the cocktails are creative and well-executed, and it feels like one of those places you could keep coming back to and try something new every time. Would I go back? Absolutely.
