A group of 4 of us tried out this new place on New Year´s Eve. After a snafu with OpenTable, the staff tried really hard to get us a table that the app promised us. We killed time at the bar and soon enough we were whisked upstairs to a hightop table for 4. There were many other parties there that night enjoying their last meal of 2016. We definitely enjoyed the onion rings, Insanity burgers, brussel sprouts, and Ironman Wheat sandwich. The portions are very generous... which leads me to mention the crab mac n´ cheese! My friend ordered this as an entree (although it is listed as an app) and we were all impressed with the size of the dish. The mac n´ cheese was super cheesy (as it should be, right?) and served nice and hot in its little dish. We took home leftovers and even heated up in the microwave, the pasta did not dry out and get icky. The service was really friendly the night we visited. We would definitely go back again! read more

I usually get good food and service here, but not tonight. This was a takeout order. I ordered shrimp and grits, and it came smothered in mushrooms. There was no mention of mushrooms on the online menu, and mushrooms aren't typically a food that accompanies shrimp and grits. In fact, I've ordered shrimp and grits from WS before and there weren't mushrooms on it. I hate mushrooms. I called to mention this (that mushrooms were not mentioned on the menu) to the restaurant. The man I spoke to was surly and rude. I wasn't expecting anything, but I didn't even get kindness in return. I've enjoyed WS in the past, but we're going to stay away now. We were in town for a game at Loyola and found this place recommended by the Yelp community. We went at 2:30 on a Saturday, and sat at the bar. Tristan took amazing care of us. He started by talking me out of an Espresso Martini and into a Bee Sting because it would change my life...it did! (Although I still made him give me a tequila espresso martini next. And it was awesome too.) We shared the Brussels Sprouts and they alone are worth a visit. Since it was Saturday, they were only serving the brunch menu. I had a great omelette and the accompaniments were excellent brunch fare. My wife REALLY wanted a salad, and Tristan tried to get it done, but the chef wouldn't cave until the menu switched over - hence this is a 4 instead of a 5. Probably should be a 4.75. I've got to say the insanity burger was delicious! I did sub cheddar for American cheese and added mayo ketchup and mustard. I had to remove one onion ring so I could add the other toppings and fit it in my mouth. I could only take three bites and I was full but I fast off and on to maintain my weight. I came here because of the yelp reviews I read and had never been before. My little guy and I had just dropped my daughter off at work and wanted to grab some good breakfast nearby so I googled places nearby and found this gem. I'll definitely be back with some adult friends to see it from a different point of view. My son enjoyed his food as well as did my spouse when he finished my burger off. read more

We were excited to try this place for the first time last night. We left roughly 2.5 hours later pretty disappointed. The service was terribly slow and very disorganized. One of us got the poke bowl special (for $21) that we were specifically told was big enough for a meal. It was very small, especially for the price. The food itself was okay. We also ordered the creme brûlée for dessert. It came out more burnt than it should have. Tasted good besides the very thick crust. I can't stress this enough... THE. BEST. MEATBALL. SANDWICH. EVER. It's a destination for this alone, but there is so much more. The restaurant itself has a very cozy feel. Warm and inviting. The staff is attentive, and the food comes out quickly. Plus, they've never gotten an order wrong in the dozen or so times we've been there. Lots of beers on tap and my wife's favorite grapefruit crush in Baltimore. We usually start with the crispy wings which are true to their name. They always come out crunchy and perfect. Greatly disappointed by the food. I got the beyond vegan bowl and as soon as it was brought out it went downhill from there. I replaced the squash with broccoli. The broccoli was frozen then slightly sautéed for one. Ew. But most importantly the dish itself was something I could've made at home. $20 for a meal while the ingredients are no more than $12. There was no seasoning in the slightest form. The beyond sausages were simply placed over the broccoli and onion. I do not recommend this place unless you enjoy bland food with absolutely no creativity. The kitchen staff brought us out our food. He seemed very nice. I have been looking forward to visiting Wicked Sisters for a while but it didn't live up to my expectations (which were reasonable). Upon first entering the resident, I noticed how beautiful it was inside, charming and cozy. I waited about 2-3 minutes for a host/hostess before I found my party around the corner. The service at Wicked Sisters was the major pitfall I noticed. It took the server 15-20 minutes for her to come around and we asked for some cocktails as ordered appetizers. The cocktails took 10 minutes to come out and the appetizers were another 20-30 minutes. When they finally came out, they were devoured. The onion rings were tasty with their Wicked Sisters sauce (which I loved) and the fried buffalo mushrooms were okay. Not too greasy thankfully. 1.5 hours after I was seated, the entrees came out. I chose the insanity burger and I was not disappointed. It was one of the best burgers I had in a while and my friends all loved their entrees as well. However, everything was taking forever to come out of the kitchen. The place wasn't that busy when we arrived but the service was so god awful slow, it was pitiful. 2.5 hours for dinner, how about I use that time elsewhere. Not returning. read more

It's like a group of people who have no idea how to make food, be waiters, bartenders, or who have ever worked in a restaurant opened a restaurant...don't go. Follow up, They comped the meal. 2 out of three burgers were undercooked, fries were burnt...it obvious they were trying to cook things too fast. Burger was burnt on the outside, raw in the middle. cooking burgers isn't that difficult. Also, had a disagreement with the manager about the existence of cheese on my burnt/raw burger. If it isn't plainly evident that there is cheese on a burger, and it is an existential debate, then there isn't cheese on the burger. I came here for the Vegan Restaurant Week specials! My husband and friend both ordered omni dishes. I decided to do the 3 courses. Chickpea Fritters, General Tso, and Chocolate Espresso Pie. My husband went with the Catfish and my friend got the Crab Mac. -Chickpea Fritters were to die for. Amazing. Delicious. One of the best things I've eaten. My husband agreed. -General Tso had more of a sweet and sour taste to me. Still good but not the flavor I was expecting. -Chocolate Espresso Pie was heavenly. So rich and creamy. Really a wonderful dessert. -Catfish was a little burnt but still tasty. -Crab Mac was lacking flavor according to the omnis as well as actual crab meat. Had a reservation, and was seated right away when we showed up. The service was very friendly, the "Smoked Pig" cocktail was delicious, and the food was phenomenal. A small issue with one of the group's meal was corrected right away. One thing I thoroughly enjoyed, was the atmosphere: quaint, but efficient. The service staff bobbed and Weaver through the tables while not over checking in. I highly recommend this establishment for a date or special night. Stopped here for dinner after a movie at Cine' Bistro(4 Mins away btw), and omg I'm so glad I did. I had heard about WS from a co-worker so when I realized how close we were last night, I was excited to try. For one the food is awesome, those baked meatballs were wonderful. My boyfriend also really liked his crab cake and "smashed potatoes". Drinks were also great, as well as the service. However, what really did it for me, was the Super Nintendo in the back! For a really long time I wanted to visit this place. The photos on the Instagram, different reviews and whatnot made me wanna go there and see what it is. As excited as I could be I grabbed my friend with me and went there on a Sunday. Came to the restaurant waited for a hostess to come up, asked if we could seat outside (because the outdoor pics were so appealing!) the hostess looked at her computer and said it's 10-15mins wait. We said okay we will wait at the bar. So we ordered drinks , and then the was another hostess. So we decided to ask if the outside seating ready and the hostess (second one) said she didn't know anything about us willing to seat outside so she looked at the computer and said it's five to ten mins wait. So when we finally came outside the place was EMPTY!!!!! Like what?! Me and my friend were sooooo confused. But whatever. We did ask server is there a reason they make people wait at the bar for 15 min (hint hint ) before letting them seat outside but he said he knows knitting about it. So then we ordered fries meatballs and fish. Meatballs were to die for! Delicious must try! Fries were very good but had so much salt on them. And when it came to the fish at first it tasted great but than more than half way to the end fish was filled with fat, not filled but it was fat only! No meat whatsoever, I tried to bite it but it was extremely NOT yummy.... so (for the first time in my life) I asked server if that was normal or not, and ended up sending food back to the kitchen. Had a great brunch with friends while I was in town for the holidays at Wicked Sisters Tavern. A friend recommended this place and I was not dissappointed! I don't get to have genuine MD blue crab meat that often anymore so of course I had to get the Wicked Sister's Benny (eggs Benedict with jumbo lump crab meat) and it was delightful! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the crab meat was so damn good. Also the potatoes served on the side were very flavorful. I also really liked the vibes of this restaurant, very cozy and we had an awesome window seat with lots of natural light. Right before the pandemic shut everything down we decided to take the highway through the great suburban divide to visit some friends and do some shopping in Hampden. The restaurants would be closed within a week. So, we popped in for a late lunch as the region wasn't quite down with disease. Good lunch, cream of crab, and a nice grilled/sautéed mushrooms app. Plus, I had to have The Wedge. Yesterday was my second time visiting the Wicked Sisters. I sat up stairs this time which was a great idea. I didn't know that upstairs had a bar , seating and Tv. I love this place. Even thought I went looking for food that was previously special that the restaurant didn't serve at the time. But that was a small thing. Service was awesome. Environment was awesome. Did a little curbside pick up last night for dinner for the whole family. Timely, excellently packaged and prepared, the food was delicious and I felt like I was actually eating it in the restaurant. HOLY MOLY this place is amazingggggg!!! We came here for the first time on a Friday for happy hour (weekdays 3-6 at the bar) and this is definitely somewhere that we will be coming back to shortly! We started off with drinks (duh) I got a strawberry mint crush that was really refreshing and my boyfriend got a natty boh and we were off to a good start. We ordered the Natty Boh mussels - this is the only criticism that I had during the whole meal - I wish it was in a wine sauce instead of Natty Boh because I think it could have used more flavor. The mussels though were cooked perfectly and the cheesy garlic bread was to die for (maybe because I was trying not to eat bread this month and this was a cheat day). For dinner I got the meatballs and the Brussels sprouts... both were delicious. The meatballs are the best I've had out at a restaurant and dare I say they give my mom's meatballs some competition (she doesn't use yelp). It included 3 huge meatballs with a good amount of red sauce as well as mozzarella cheese melted over the entire dish. This also came with 2 more pieces of that delicious cheese bread. Now the Brussels sprouts were the best Brussels sprouts I've had. We were both eating them and had our fill for sure and there was still almost half the helping left! My boyfriend got the pork shank and mac n cheese instead of the smashed potatoes (we gave up potatoes for lent) and while I'm sure the mashed potatoes would be amazing (and we'll definitely be back) the mac n cheese was a great substitute and came with enough for 2. The shank was fall off the bone and I had to remind myself that it was his dinner and not mine so I wouldn't take too much. 100% would recommend anyone to come here... there's about 5 other dishes that we still want to try so well be back soon! read more

My fiancé and I heard good things so we decided to give it a try as we were in the area. The hostess was kind and recommended we sit at the bar since the only table that was available was a tiny one squished between two other couples, so we took her up on the recommendation as there were 7 empty seats. The was a male bartender at the end of the bar chatting with a customer and no other bartenders in sight. After a few minutes of making eye contact with us, the male bartender hadn't moved from his conversation while the female bartenders were running drinks back and forth from the bar to the tables. We ended up waiting even longer and finally had to grab one of the female bartender's attention to let them know we hadn't been helped and ended up just walking out. TL; DR I have never been blatantly ignored at a restaurant before until tonight. Hopefully a manager sees this and improves service as we are very disappointed we didn't get to try the food. read more

We happened to be there during Vegan restaurant week so my girl ordered the prix fixe vegan meal. It was quite good. She let me have a part of each course. I ordered the beet salad with a side of chicken salad based on a server rec. Glad I did that. The chicken salad was yummy and for me added to the salad. We sat on the patio. Super nice! read more

I go to Wicked Sisters often on the weekends especially Saturdays. The staff there is always amazing but every time I go they are always out of something which is extremely frustrating. First, let me just say that our server was very sweet and helpful, as were the staff members that brought out the food. We definitely don't blame them at all. That being said, it was a bad experience overall. We went for brunch on the Sunday of a holiday weekend and service was extremely slow because, as far as we could tell, our server was acting as both waitress and bartender for the entire upstairs. Not sure if it was bad scheduling or someone had called out, but it was very frustrating and led to us mostly just sitting around for over 2 hours. The drinks were okay, but overpriced ($6 to add a shot of Baileys to a $5.75 cold brew coffee is a bit steep). When the food finally came out, they completely forgot one of our friend's main dish, only bringing out the extra sides they'd requested (which seemed like just the byproduct of being severely understaffed). I ordered the vegan week tofu hash, which was not a hash in any semblance of the word. It came out as a brick of tofu on top of some tater tots and peppers, with sauce poured overtop. I ate some of it (after waiting for over an hour, I was starving and willing to try to make it work), but the tofu was terrible (as bricks of tofu generally are), and the whole dish was really disappointing. They did take it off the bill when I said that I hadn't liked it, which we felt was appropriate. Two of my friends enjoyed their food (the shrimp & grits and the chicken waffle sandwich), so that was good. In general, we spent a huge amount of time sitting around, trying to flag down the very overworked staff members, and eating overpriced, mediocre-to-bad food. It's the worst experience I've ever had at Wicked Sisters, but given that I've never had an actually good experience there (always overpriced, always mediocre), I won't be going back. read more

We were coming through town looking for late night food and this place was open with smiles. Street or valet parking. Has an old world tavern/hotel feel to it, like we could have retired for the evening upstairs. The bartender and server were patient and helped us find something good on the bar menu for our group that included a vegetarian, a carnivore, and a gluten-free requirement.
