DuPuis send a different technician who said the previous technician did not clean the boiler correctly and he showed me why he said that. He also documented it. DuPuis never billed me for the service on August 12th. On October 27th my boiler didn't start. I called DuPuis and the service manager told me that they won't support my boiler anymore unless I buy their oil. I told them I would find someone else. 3 days later, which was 80 days from the corrective service they did on August 12th, I get a bill. My first bill for this service with net 20 terms. On November 5th they send me a statement that included two months of a late fee, for a bill I didn't even have during that time. The late charges are fraudulent. They did shoddy work on my boiler and after it polluted my house and almost killed me, they want me to pay for them to re-clean and properly adjust my boiler because I wouldn't let them extort me into buying their overpriced oil. On August 12th I would have paid the bill had they presented me an invoice as per usual, but assumed they didn't because their poor work necessitated the August 12 service call. If they were going to bill me with terms of Net 20 for the work they did on August 12th, they should have billed me on August 12th, not 80 days afterwords because I refused to be extorted. For them to charge me late fees for two months I wasn't billed is criminal. They should be audited to see what other unethical business practices they employ.

My home that I purchased less than a month ago, was unable to maintain temperatures above 55-57°F, significantly below the state legal habitability standard of 68°F. Despite two separate service calls sending Anthony Watts, this company's "expertise" cost my family over $1,300 in unnecessary expenses and weeks of hardship. The Failure of Due Diligence: During the first visit, the technician dismissed our concerns, claiming the unit was "fine" and that the cold was simply due to having an "old house." Keep in mind our heating system is TWO years old. I was charged $300 for this dismissive and incorrect assessment. When the issue persisted, my young children are freezing, and I called them back for a second look, the technician performed a combustion test and again insisted the system was functioning perfectly. Although the house never broke 57 degrees while the heat was on. The Reality: After two failed diagnostics by this firm, I hired a second company. They identified the issue within minutes: the main supply line for the first floor was completely disconnected. This is a textbook case of professional negligence. For a technician with "10+ years of experience" to miss a detached main trunk line while 80% of my heat was pumping directly into the attic is inexcusable. I have numerous photos for reference. Because of this oversight, my system ran continuously for two weeks trying to heat the outdoors. This resulted in: $1,000 in wasted propane burned in just 14 days. $300 in service fees paid to a company that failed to perform a basic visual inspection of the air delivery system. Safety concerns for my family, as we were left in a freezing home during peak winter. If you are looking for a company that performs thorough troubleshooting and respects your hard-earned money, look ELSEWHERE. I am currently seeking a full refund for the service fees and restitution for the fuel damages caused by their lack of professional care.
