I had an AC service appointment scheduled for over a month, and the company cancelled on me an hour…read moreand a half after the appointment window was already supposed to start. This was extremely frustrating because my job has very strict limits on work-from-home days, and I used one of my limited allotted days specifically for this appointment. The cancellation was not just inconvenient -- it wasted my time and impacted my work schedule. What made the situation worse was the customer service representative who called me. They were rude, unhelpful, and showed no concern at all for the fact that the company had wasted a customer's time. There was no real apology, no sense of accountability, and no effort to make the situation right. The most disappointing part is that this company requires customers to provide 24 hours' notice to cancel, but apparently does not hold itself to the same standard when cancelling on customers. If customers are expected to respect the company's schedule, the company should also respect the customer's time. Management should seriously review how cancellations are handled and how customers are treated when the company fails to honor scheduled appointments. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs reliable service or values their time.

I have been with Buckley since the Buckley family owned it. They prided themselves on customer…read moreservice and every encounter was pleasurable. They have since been bought out by Petro and their service has been so horribly terrible that I would rather gt a root canal than deal with these morons. First they messed up my propane account resulting in a large bill that I still do not believe was mine. They decide they wanted cash on delivery in order to provide propane. It was more convenient for me to simply deposit $1400.00 on my account to insure monthly deliveries with no worries. yeah right. They then update their online portal and since that point it has been virtually impossible to track my balance or usage. For the last 9 months I have been told that they were working on the website and it would be fully functional within 1 days. More lies, its been almost 9 months. For convenience sake I decided to get oil from them also. Another fiasco, they quote the most expensive oil prices in Rhode Island. When I questioned this they offered me a price $.90 cents less than the original. I agreed to sign a service agreement for oil. two days later I received a call saying they needed permission to pull a credit report. I asked why it was necessary since I maintain a credit balance on the account in excess of two tank fills. I was told that he didn't know why but that they were not interested in y business if they could not pull the report or I could pay the current street price, a dollar more than the cheapest available. I opted to get my oil elsewhere and instructed them to refund the credit balance on my account. If they didn't want to [rovde my oil there was no rationale to allow them to keep my money and earn interest in it. Was told it would take 7-10 days to receive the check. That was on 4/16. Today is 5/4 still no check. I called and after voicing my concerns was placed in hold and then disconnected. I called back and spoke with a different person, who told me I had a positive credit on my account of $77.00. I voiced my concerns as the entire amount was supposed to be refunded, I had not authorized them to keep any of it. She also could give me no information on the whereabouts of my $600.00. She offered to email internally a sales rep, for what reason I do not know. She promised me that someone would call me promptly. I would avoid doing business with these thieves under any circumstances. They are sooo nice until they get your money then they dont give two shits about you. Do Business with them at your own risk. I will wait 24 hours then file complaints with the state division of business regulation and the BBB. I had to rate one star but they are not even worth that! Update: I finally got a call back and low and behold I have been waiting over two weeks for a check that they never sent. The excuse they gave was feeble at best. I made it clear that I expected them to cut the check and send it certified and registered in overnight mail since they wasted my time for over two weeks. Jenna, thank you for the response to my original post. What you can do is expedite my almost 700$ check. If you wish to speak to me you can try the number associated with my account. FYI after the first call I received a call from someone who claimed to be with customer service. I spent over 20 minutes with her on the phone and outlined everything and also gave her several suggestions on improving customer service. Obviously that was a waste of my time also, as the check was never sent. I will say one nice thing. My propane, on automatic delivery, works like clockwork. At this point I will retain your propane service because quite frankly it is not worth the time to change to another vendor. Update: I spoke with Buckley today and a lot of misinformation was cleared up. Actually spoke with someone in the local office who took a huge amount of time and answered all of my questions. I will remain a customer as they acknowledged the limitations of their credit department which is located somewhere closer to the midwest. Upgraded rating as a result.

This company does what it wants at the expense of the customer. They tried billing myself and other customers for propane that was not delivered. They billed me for a filter for a service call that did not match what the service call was for and then what they put in wasn't the proper size to start. You will see more in an upcoming interview with a local news channel.

DuPuis send a different technician who said the previous technician did not clean the boiler correctly and he showed me why he said that. He also documented it. DuPuis never billed me for the service on August 12th. On October 27th my boiler didn't start. I called DuPuis and the service manager told me that they won't support my boiler anymore unless I buy their oil. I told them I would find someone else. 3 days later, which was 80 days from the corrective service they did on August 12th, I get a bill. My first bill for this service with net 20 terms. On November 5th they send me a statement that included two months of a late fee, for a bill I didn't even have during that time. The late charges are fraudulent. They did shoddy work on my boiler and after it polluted my house and almost killed me, they want me to pay for them to re-clean and properly adjust my boiler because I wouldn't let them extort me into buying their overpriced oil. On August 12th I would have paid the bill had they presented me an invoice as per usual, but assumed they didn't because their poor work necessitated the August 12 service call. If they were going to bill me with terms of Net 20 for the work they did on August 12th, they should have billed me on August 12th, not 80 days afterwords because I refused to be extorted. For them to charge me late fees for two months I wasn't billed is criminal. They should be audited to see what other unethical business practices they employ.

Confirmed on the phone that…read morethe appointment was set for 11am, I would stay with the car, and drive off the lot no later than 2pm. I dropped my car off on time, was greeted with quick remarks and attitude from the gentleman inside who informed me my car was "scheduled for 12pm but I have no idea when we will get to it" and to come back and pick it up later. From being told and confirming all the details on the phone to getting told a completely different story in person is just not up to my standard of customer satisfaction. There was no "waiting area" besides a bench outside (it was raining) and I hadn't arranged for a ride because I was expecting to wait for it to be done. My car was done around 4pm and the new people inside were nice and easier to talk to than the grump earlier in the day. The hitch has performed as advertised, but I would have saved myself the headache and gone elsewhere if I had known I would be without my car for the better part of the day.

This was my second hitch installation at this location. I had one done last year and the experience…read morebetween the two was night and day. First time was great. Clear information given, the process was explained top to bottom, the tech had a great personality and genuinely seemed to care about my experience. That's what brought me back to get a new hitch put on a new car. Sadly this time didn't start off right and I should have bailed then. Appointment was made online via the U-Haul app for Monday the 18th a week ahead of time. On the following Friday I get a call from a tech (didn't provide a name) telling me the parts for my installation hadn't come in. He said that it was a FedEx issue and that they would be in Tuesday morning and would I want to reschedule for Wednesday. I explained that wasn't satisfactory as I have a camping trip planned and was leaving after the install on Monday. The tech didn't care, continued to blame FedEx and that there was nothing he could. After back and forth with his excuses and having to raise my voice over his to speak, I asked for his manager. He told me his manager (name not provided) would call me back shortly and explain the situation. Immediately after hanging up the phone I called U-Haul customer support and was helped by Josue, who was great and after hearing about what was happening looked in his system and could see all my parts were in stock and that he would call the location to see why they couldn't do it. Surprise surprise, there was no longer an issue and my appointment was all set for Monday morning. ( thank you Josue). Saturday morning I get call from someone named Steve from U-Haul who offers me a new appointment on Sunday, which I took seeing as I was leaving on Monday. Sunday, I'm dropping off my car and while handing the tech my keys I asked to confirm that the work order said I needed a 7pin round/4 pin flat combination plug. It's not standard and I had to select this option when setting up the appointment. As he starts to answer I realize this is the tech that had called me to get out of the job on Friday, I can tell by his attitude. So no name tech starts to tell me that they don't do that. It's always a 4 pin flat and they don't even carry them. I told no name that I was here last year for a hitch and they had no issue with putting a combination plug on. So he decided to ask his manager. The manager comes in, doesn't introduce himself to me but instead carries a conversation with no name about my install as if I'm not standing at the counter. After a few minutes no name manager leaves and no name tech magically pulls out a 7pin combination plug and tells me I'm gonna have to pay extra. At this point I'm livid and just want this to be done because I'm stuck. Trips tomorrow and I need this hitch. So I hand them the key and went on with my day. Install was completed by 12. I DO NOT feel comfortable with this hitch given the experience. I've towed for 13 years and have never felt more unsure about hooking up to my car. The technician was not competent and the manager (Steve, who only gave his name at the start of the phone call saying the job was done)did nothing to elevate those concerns. In fact he exacerbated them. This was not what I was expecting at all. The first experience was so good and the second was so bad that I don't understand what happened. New management? New employees? Poor training? U-Haul should really look at the reviews for the Oakland beach location in RI and consider making some adjustments. I'm sure this isn't how they like their name attached to something. All I can do is hope this was done professionally even if it didn't seem like there was a professional in the building today. I will never use the Oakland beach location again. I will travel if it means I'll be treated like a customer who's spending a good chunk of change and not some nuisance that's only there so you can get paid
