They have all kinds of pumpkins (edible heirlooms and traditional orange in all shapes and sizes), plus gourds and minis, mums, corn stalks and hay bales, perfect for decorating (and GREAT prices, at $7 for a full-sized hay bale and $20 for 4 gorgeous heirloom pumpkins). Last year I bought 4 heirlooms and used them inside for my seasonal display and they lasted through winter, at which point I processed them all for soup! For families, they have games and play areas, a corn maze, a petting zoo, rides, and an apple blaster where you shoot apples at targets (more fun than it probably sounds!). The apple blaster is also perfect for a friendly competition between friends... Inside they have lots of fall themed decorations available for purchase, plus food that includes fresh apple cider donuts (available as singles, 6 packs and dozens) and local cider, coffee, hot cocoa, fresh popcorn, chili dogs and cookies. We ate a chili dog (good sized red hot with a nice meaty chili and red bean topping), pumpkin coffee, 6 donuts and popcorn while walking around picking our pumpkins, and were very pleased with the taste, portions and quality. The owner Alyssa greeted us and was such an amazing person. She took the time to talk and walk with us on our first tour. She introduced us to a two old worldAmerican duroc's.. about 750 lbs each! They were so cool and chill! One of her pigs was stating to go into labor and expecting 7 piglets.. how exciting! We saw ducks and chickens loving all their festival snacks... we continue to the back area where we walked right into the field with so many pigs! They we're having the time of their life. Sticking their heads into pumpkins and eating them. I've never seen pigs up so close, they were so friendly and honestly could of cared less we were there. I was surprised how soft they were and allowed us to pet them. Next we went further back and met the Scottish highland cows, so stunning. Fabio with his gorgeous hair... accurately named. The adorable baby Maggie. Had to pick up some of their famous candied bacon at their food truck on premise. Giant cool fireplace to warm up at was a huge hit too. Both I believe are owned and operated by the same people? company? Basically if you like haunted hayrides, you will love both of these. I used to go to hayrides all the time when I was in high school. So when I am back home in the Fall, I will always go to one. They're very nostalgic for me. But holy hell! are they expensive AF! now! This one I think was like $36! I mean, I get these people have to get paid...but holyyyyy shiiiiiiit lol. Thats just wild to me. I would also expect the ride to be just a tad longer for almost $40 but whatever. Its still a fun time. Worst part about it. The wait time. Wanna get in early....go as early as possible. We were in line for 2 hours OUTSIDE the venue! THEN you get inside and wait in a barn for your number to be called. We were 267. SIX SEVENNNN!!! haha! They were on 251 when we finally got inside. So it was a good hour or two before we got called to our ride. We get in the barn to wait for the ride and it was another 25-30 mins. That might be me being a tad generous lol You can buy snacks and drinks while you wait. Be prepared to shell out a ton more for that. NOT cheap.
