    Bratwurst w Sauerkraut & Chili

Was craving Wienerschnitzel one day, saw this one in passing and decided to stop by. I didn't know you could not actually go inside the restaurant upon pulling up (it's just a drive-thru and a walk-up menu. I stood/sat for a while waiting for the women inside to acknowledge me then I tapped on the window to ask if I could actually order there or if I needed to go through the drive-thru the woman shook her head that I could indeed order and another woman came to take my order. I had a regular chili cheese fries & a Bratwurst w sauerkraut & chili & a small Strawberry Shake. My food was okay, my shake was good but melted fast (typical Wienerschnitzel). I didn't finish all of my chili cheese fries. Aside from waiting for my order to be taken the staff who I came into contact with was nice and friendly.

Nice spot to hit when you are craving a chili dog! The dipped chocolate ice cream cone is a nice treat.

I'm very disappointed of this location, the only reason we came here was to get one of the three pastrami items and they have pickles. They forgot to put pickles as you can see on the photo, which made me upset since that was the main reason why I got this item. They also did a shitty job like they didn't give a damn. I swear every single fast food joint I go here in north highlands do a shitty job, they forget an item, give the wrong item, or they forget to put something on the item.

Pathetic excuse for a chili cheese burger..&this is after he spun the bun around to spread the chili around..FAIL!

Save ur self from frustration and just drive the extra few miles to the madison location! The past 2 experiences have been bad..we wont be back for a third!

This location is really conveniently located. But the fact that its so convenient brings unsavory lingerers. Eh. Besides that they are usually fast with delivering the food. Ive had a couple incidents of disgust at this location. Undercooked corn dogs...rude staff...etc. the one on arden and Fulton is much better and more friendly. I try to avoid this one.

We have always had a great experience at this establishment. The staff are wonderful and the food is always fresh and hot. When you ask for a corn dog well done or fries with no salt, the staff makes sure that is the way you get it. We have been frequenting this establishment since 1975 and have never been disappointed. I suggest you give it a try.

Back when i was in hi school i ate here at least twice a week for lunch

We let him know it was our first time there, and he made us feel welcome. I got the cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Hawaiian roll bun. I was worried it might be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The sweet pickles were also a nice touch. My husband got the Swole' Chick breakfast burrito, which has a whopping 80g of protein! He enjoyed it, although it wasn't his favorite thing we ordered. The fries, though--SO good. The regular fries were crispy, stood up instead of being limp or soggy, and had the perfect amount of salt. We also tried the chili cheese fries and those were bomb! I thought the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. The cheeseburger was $11.99, the Swole' Chick was $14.99, regular fries were $3.99, and the chili cheese fries were $7.49. We definitely got a good amount of food for what we paid. There's plenty of seating inside and a bar at the front. My only real complaint was the fountain drinks. They don't carry Coke or Pepsi products and instead have RC Cola, which I had never tried before. I'd heard it was supposed to taste similar to Coke or Pepsi, but to me it oddly tasted more like root beer. The diet Dr Pepper was also out--it came out extremely light brown and mostly water. The ice machine also ran out of ice while we were there, but when we mentioned it to Joe, he immediately came over and refilled it, which I appreciated. Overall, we had a good first experience. The food was really good, prices were reasonable, and Joe was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The fountain drink situation could definitely use some improvement, but the food--especially those fries--would bring us back!

I won't go there the hour before they close anymore because the staff that works that shift gives off an energy like you are in their way of going home. They put the catsup and mustard bottles away AN HOUR before close! When I ask for ketsup, they tell me to get it from the fridge myself! LOL It reminds me of the 'no soup for you' episode , but not quite that bad. I went there yesterday for lunch and the check out girl forgot to give me my cup for my combo and just goes and fills some sauce cups and it broke and spilled everywhere, all the while, I'm still waiting for my cup, I ask the other lady who's doing all the work and she said 'sorry, here you go'. I had to wait 10 minutes for 1 polish hotdog. And it wasn't busy. The guy behind me got his dog before me. I have no idea who all these hot dogs were going to cuz I didn't see them get served, just cooked. I didn't know it takes 10 minutes to make 1 hot dog! They have their work Flo messed up. One persons doing all the work making the food and the other person is a dumbass not doing anything useful. Then you bite into the hot dog and the anger goes down and you remember why you went there. It would be nice if they made the cheese melt on the hot dog though, not just stay unmelted, it's not quite the same experience. They really need to do some training on customer service and workflow and put their ketsup away 10 minutes before close. If you can have patients to deal with all that, the dogs are good. I like the decor, but sometimes, I get so annoyed with the lack of customer service, I eat outside just to separate myself from them! LOL

John and his team have your hot dogs covered for your dining pleasure in western Placer County. It's mid afternoon, Saturday, June 07, 2025, and I'm enjoying the Rocklin Brewfest 2025 and I'm in the mood for a delicious hot dog. I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs! Five star dining for all of you who love a delicious hot dog.

For all hot dog lovers and "foodies" any event where Dave sets up shop is a joyous occasion, as Dave's Dawgs serves some of the best dogs all around. It's a little past 09:00 in the morning, Saturday, October 08, 2022, and I'm enjoying the "Lincoln Airport Open House," thanks to the City of Lincoln, CA, and it's time to enjoy a "Bratwurst Dog" at Dave's Dawgs, who had set up their pop-up restaurant to cater to this aviation event. The restaurant began setting up shop at the 07:30 opening time of the event, and was in business and grilling/steaming amazing hot dogs by around 08:30 or so. As soon as the restaurant opened, a line of hungry hot dog lovers formed... Lincoln "fly-in" attendees have good taste when it comes to fine airport cuisine! What could be better than an airport "open house" and quality hot dogs, served by friendly staff? After opening the pit, I asked the chef if I could take photos of the dogs cooking. All of the dogs on the menu looked simply amazing... how could I decide? ... I asked her for her recommendation, and she said "Bratwurst Dog," so that's what I went with. After receiving my "Bratwurst Dog" from the chef, it was time to head over to the condiment bar... maybe a yard away. You can dress your dog with dill relish, sauerkraut, pickled jalapeño pepper slices, mustard or ketchup. The slot for diced onions was empty, which was a slight disappointment, but since this dog was so juicy and amazing, the onions weren't really missed. After agonizing over the menu - all dogs were amazing - I went with "Bratwurst," after asking the pitmaster for her recommendation. What a dog! The quarter pound bratwurst hot dog was perfectly grilled and steamed - Placer County guidelines - thanks to the skill of the chef and pitmaster. The dog was served on a large, fresh, chewy bun, with just the right bun-to-dog ratio which is crucial to a good hot dog, or bratwurst dog. One bite into the bratwurst I was rewarded with a crisp S-N-A-P! ... thanks to the natural casing... and a "rush" of juicy, goodness flavor, that only comes from a perfectly cooked, and perfectly made quality bratwurst. The flavor of this bratwurst was "absolute superlative" good... Simply said, if you're a "foodie" and you love a delicious, quality bratwurst, Dave's Dawgs should be your restaurant of choice. I dressed my dog with diced, pickled jalapeño pepper slices, mustard - naturally - along with dill relish and sauerkraut. Too bad the condiment bar was out of diced white onion, but my "Bratwurst" was standalone delicious, so dressing was simply an enhancement to the amazing "Bratwurst Dog" I enjoyed on the mid Saturday morning. One bite into Dave's bratwurst will make a believer out of you that Dave's Dawgs serves an amazing hot dog, of any variety, at any occasion. Look for Dave's Dawgs at special events over the greater Sacramento area, and enjoy his delicious dogs, served by friendly staff.
