Warning!! Do not buy a bourbon barrel when visiting wiggly bridge in York Maine I made that mistake back in September I purchased a two liter barrel with a liter of white whiskey. When I came home from Maine as instructed by the salesperson I poured my whiskey into the barrel. So it's been in the barrel now for a little over two months. Then at Christmas I thought I would show it off to my sons. The barrel is completely empty gone evaporated. So today I call Wiggly the gentleman I spoke with and he gives me a list of things I should have done. I told him that would have been great advice when I spent almost 150 bucks and maybe a set of instructions would be helpful. He did not and I did not ask for anything so today the barrel goes in the basement to collect dust instead of producing delicious bourbon. The end! read more

Nice little treat for the whiskey lover. Under recommendation we stopped in and was fantastic. Grabbed a flight of four, the bottled in bond and small batch was my favorites. Bartender treated me to a few samples as well. What a great stop. read more

Perfect little distillery in an area with lots of craft beer, refreshing change of pace. Lots of in house spirits offered so everyone can find a drink that appeals to them. In our group, one got the agave old fashioned and the other a whiskey old fashioned. The agave one was the favored one in the group! I had one of the fruit forward vodka drink and it was delicious! I could easily see it at a swanky bar in downtown Portland or Boston. The last person in our group got the play on an espresso martini with bourbon, which was well received. Another stop along route 1 and one that is not to be missed! My first trip here and I am already looking forward to the next. Due to being a Monday and past the typical tourist season we were the only ones briefly besides one other couple from Texas who were a joy to chat with. The bartender was extremely nice and had such a vast knowledge of the distillery and even telling us about some soon to come limited spirits. The distillery is a sight to behold as it is utilizing a 1800's barn and has a ton of character opposed to some of the industrial forward spots. Also compared to a lot of other distilleries their cocktail menu is huge with lots of options for each and every spirit. The bartender described it perfectly as a hidden gem and said they are the busiest during rainy times of the summer. I can definitely see this as a great rainy day stop. Finally stopped in to Wiggly Bridge! Last year, my boyfriend and I noticed the distillery along route 1 and have said "we need to try it" every time we pass. This weekend we finally made it a point to try. It was around noon on Sunday and we were the only ones in there until another family came in. Super personal and intimate experience with the bartender, Jonah. He was incredibly knowledgeable and can tell he loves his job! My boyfriend did the tasting & I chose to order a cocktail. We appreciated that they provide one complimentary tasting of a spirit before ordering it in a cocktail form. Definitely, can understand why the Blueberry Smash is their most popular cocktail. The history here is so neat, especially when it comes to legacy. The owner's grandsons were running around the barn & actually bottling the spirits themselves! read more

What a fun stop! We were not able to do the tour, but enjoyed the tasting. Sitting at the bar was fun and our bartender was very knowledgeable about all the product that they produce on site. We even met the owner! They are turning out quite a variety of small batch spirits here, and there is really only one way to see what you like, and that is to try them! There is a small gift shop adjacent to the bar that sells branded items, as well as a selection of the spirits made on site. read more

We last had Wiggly Bourbon on my birthday 4 years ago in Kennebunkport. Now, on our way back to Mass from Bar Harbor, we made this place a special destination. One thing about distilleries, is that you don't have to be complacent with going to another brewery for a beer, they had a delicious chin and bourbon. Sitting on the front porch, eating delicious snacks and having a sip of a cocktail seems like a great adventure when in the middle of a long drive. . I also really like the fact that there is a physical destination you can go to after visiting the brewery to see the actual weekly bridge, which gave this place bonus points. We definitely like to go to places that are not crowded, so this was a refreshing turn from going to all of the seafood touristy places that a lot of people like to go to. So, you will get snacks, but not a meal. You'll get a good drink, but not a sad place to drink it. I cannot wait to go back here, and really wish we had more distilleries out where I live in Massachusetts. read more

Ok, this place has changed my taste in whiskey. They have elevated my pallet for refined whiskey and I can no longer drink the lower class whiskey on the shelves. The bourbon we tasted was extraordinary. You'd think white whiskey is a nonstarter for people who love whiskey, but it was so interesting, surprisingly smooth and has some sort of natural sweetness. Oh, should have started with who our tour host was, the owner! Yeah! Dave who actually owns more than 8 businesses, gave us three hours of his time to explain in detail about the distilling process, the stills (which by the way Dave and his son made), and the ingredients that go in there. Dave was an open book about everything ( of course, except any proprietary information such as temperatures, timing, the cut they take from the heads and tails (feints) Their vodka was so smooth, but has the wiggly bridge distillery personality. They also had interesting rum and tequila that won the bronze award. We got to taste a shot from the barrel that they were checking in the Rick house....oh my goodness was that hood...it was caramel'y, with hints of cinnamon, vanilla, mild oak, maple syrup, peach, plum. It will be bottled by April - May 2023 so if you don't want to miss out on this remarkably smooth whisky with a bunch of personality. Dave was a wealth of knowledge and just a fun person to spend three hours with. Other than the good alcohol, the tour, the ambiance...he gave us a lot of advise on tricks for successful business, life, monetary stability, family, future, philosophy...and on top of that, he made us some amazing cocktails!! My cocktail was a fig marmalade Manhattan with orange zest, walnut bitters, and most importantly the small batch Bourbon - absolutely best Manhattan I have had. Cool old barn with post and beam construction. There's no food or snacks available so bring a small snack or come after eating. The bartender was absolutely phenomenal. She single handedly made elaborate drinks and facilitated tastings with a quick pace but with a pleasant demeanor and hard working attitude. One odd note was that the owner was behind the bar and chatting with a group of 4 patrons while the bartender ran around offering tastings & making dozens of drinks. He didn't lift a finger to help distribute or make drinks or even take a moment to greet patrons. A few people left after waiting a long time to be served. Thank you to the amazing bartender who made fabulous drinks and gave us as much attention as possible. Kudos! Shame on the owner for his lack of interest and/or awareness in the needs of the staff and customers. Do better. read more

FYI there is a three drink minimum, and after the second we were already being ignored. It is an odd way to run a business, considering they measure every drink, well, unless they know you. Someone. I have family that live in the BVI on an island called Tortola. There used to be a little bar/shack right on the beach called Bomba's shack that had the best painkiller I have ever had in my life. That shack got wiped out by the storm. Then I had the one here and I thought I was back on the beach in Tortola. Jonah makes an excellent drink. read more

By far the best distillery around. As soon as you walk in the door the rich smell of mash hits your nose. They have a large cocktail book using all their spirits. The bartender was very knowledgeable. They really take the time to create each cocktail too. There are windows that show the barrels of the mash which was cool to see, as well as the distilling process. My boyfriend got the old fashioned and the large ice cube was stamped with the wiggly logo. The owner then came out and started talking about the process and how everything started. Ordered a bottle of whiskey for delivery. Apparently when you order through the Wiggly Bridge web site you go to a second party distributor and then they use a third party for shipping... Has been a week without any update on my order shipping.. but the e-mail received as confirmation of my order says orders for delivery are picked up twice a week... sent message asking status about my delivery and they said their team has picked the bottle for my order and is preparing for shipping... and will let me know when it ships... Really, just now picked out the bottle for shipping after a week? Such a convoluted arrangement with point the finger responsibility..... won't be placing any more orders and hope I get the one already placed some day... read more

Service wasn't great. When we went to the bar to order, my wife said "I have a question." Before she could ask her question, the bartender immediately said "no I cannot do substitutions!" Pretty disappointed. The guy making the drinks completely ignore me because i was not White. He told my husband and I that he would help us after making a drink. I was waiting to pay for a product and the guy helped two other people knowing I was sitting at the bar waiting to pay for my purchase. We came here Saturday to buy a bottle of local bourbon for a gift. My review is not of the bourbon, but of the customer service. After spending $60 on a bottle, we decided to buy a t-shirt as well. When we didn't find a shirt in the size we were looking for, we asked the bartender if there were any others in stock. He said he thought there were and he would look. The issue here was when he asked his superior his response was, "On a day like today, what we have out is all we have." He continued to tell his worker to not leave the bar if it was busy, as it was on Saturday. While I understand this, it is not something that should be spoken in front of a customer. We had just spent $60 on a bottle and were willing to spend another $24 on a shirt--which is basically advertising for the business. This left a poor taste in our mouth, and will not return. read more
