Only one good thing happened here, he got my boyfriend's coilovers installed before nightfall. Here is why this place received one star from us: Joel, the owner of this place, was very pleasant and helpful when my boyfriend spoke with him over the phone to make an appointment to have his new coilovers installed. Joel booked him instantly, on an early Friday morning. The shop: messy, unorganized, there was stuff everywhere. Joel explained that he just got back from vacation or leave and did not have time to clean up before my boyfriend arrived. Fair enough, we're not judgemental. He had our car on the lift...but...no wooden blocks to assist the car with clearing the prongs? The car is pretty low, and he basically kicked and pushed the support bars underneath the car. My boyfriend over looked it... Work Quality: he was missing an impact wrench. So he had my boyfriend ride with him to another shop 15-20 minutes away to borrow an impact wrench. In total, that's 40 minutes of lost time just because he wasn't prepared. My boyfriend should of just high-tailed it out...but the car was just sitting on the lift and he was stuck. He did not torque the bolts holding the control arms in place also. Joel managed to strip 4 of our wheel locks (see picture) and blamed it on the manufacturer. When other shops took the wheels off, there was no damage...also, when the installation was done and my boyfriend took it out for a test run...a horrible thunking noise came from the rear coilovers. My boyfriend thought it was just "settling in" as Joel advised. NOPE! Joel put the metal end of the brake line too close to the wheel rim and, you guessed it, stripped the inside of our Forged wheels. My boyfriend's heart stopped for a minute, Joel just disregarded the whole thing (we got the damaged wheels replaced for other reasons by the way). So, we counted two damages on the car, in plain view, like my boyfriend watched it happen. We're livid just recounting everything. Time Management: this installation took longer than 7 hours to complete, that's a work day. He was on his phone, constantly. It's like my boyfriend's time didn't matter to him. We paid a lot of money for this installation, where's the customer service? Customer Service: he referred to my boyfriend as "bro" so that should give you an idea. When the installation was finally done, he offered my boyfriend a chance to come back if he wanted the car to be lowered a little bit more. Let's fast forward to approximately 2 months later. My boyfriend hears clunking noise in the rear. He called Joel, explaining everything. Joel offers a 1 year warranty on his labor by the way. So he books my boyfriend two weeks out. Ok...2 weeks? That's an awful long time for a simple diagnostic. My boyfriend grew impatient and took care of the issue himself based on the very vague advice over the phone from Joel. Problem solved...we cancelled the appointment. Fast forward another 4-5 months, now we're hearing noise from the front, much louder than the rears. My boyfriend called Joel...and guess what? He is booked for the entire month of July! Wow, busy guy huh? My boyfriend was livid, we didn't even get to drive the car for two weeks until my boyfriend was fed up and took it to a shop in Concord, CA to get it fixed (check out our review there). Shady Business: so here is where the shadiness came in. I planned on getting my car lowered and was putting off booking an appointment until my coils came in. This is pretty much the only place in Sacramento that lowers cars so I figured I'd just go here regardless. After Joel informed my boyfriend that he was booked for the entire month of July, I contacted Joel since I knew I'd have my coils by August. Well what do you know... Joel said he could take me in immediately!!! By immediately, I mean within the next two days in July! He told my boyfriend that he was booked all July? And his next availability would be in August! How is it that he was able to take me in so quickly? I called a few days after my boyfriend did. Wow! Now that I think about our previous encounters with this shop, it didn't seem that busy at all. When my boyfriend was at the shop for the first time, Joel only had one customer the whole day, who is my boyfriend. When we were there for the suspension adjustment, him and his friends were there working on their cars. I'm sure that he's busy, but not that busy to be booked an entire month. My boyfriend called and texted him, explaining that he's worried the noise could be caused by some underlying issues. It's a potential safety hazard, and still, Joel turned him down. Our best recommendation if you want work done on your car, is to take it anywhere else but this place. Lesson learned, hard, for us. If you live in Sacramento, go to the bay area, the shops there know what they're doing. I can't believe we gave a local shop a try, only to be treated like this. Shame on you, Joel of Wickd Kustomz. read more

Not what I expected . Ok place for bolt on modifications. Not a place for trucks since they require more specialized tools and experience both of which this shop does not have. They are friendly but just lacking specialty tools and staff for big jobs. read more

I contacted Joel for an estimate and got a response from him within 10 minutes. The quote he gave me couldn't be beat so I took him up on the offer and made my first purchase.
