It was extremely off putting and not something I would have expected to hear at a hairstyling appointment that is at its core a self care experience. I found the entire conversation to be unpleasant. The blowout was pretty low quality and overall I wished I had just styled my own hair. I left with many broken hairs on my crown that were completely ignored by my stylist and that I had a hard time gelling down once I got home before I was due for photos. Overall not worth the money. The location is clean. It is expensive but I did find the pricing relatively clear as my stylist explained the extra costs along the way.

I booked with Martha the night before! She was early, which I really appreciated, and her energy was so easygoing and warm. I genuinely enjoyed chatting with her--we even giggled a few times during the appointment. It felt relaxed and natural, and I left feeling uplifted. She washed, blow-dried, and cut my hair in a way that left it healthy and even all over--perfectly prepped for any style I might want to do next. After a frustrating experience at another salon--where I had to go back for a corrective color and was left with uneven shaping and lots of split ends--this appointment was a much-needed reset. I finally felt like my hair had been truly cared for. Martha really saved the day, especially with a big photo shoot coming up next week. I'm so glad I found her--I've definitely found my new stylist and I'm already looking forward to going back next year for color.
