Best hair salon ever. I have been going for Leslie for 3 years - and every haircut is really good. With all other haircutters I will cut and trim to get the hair "just right". Not with Leslie. She knows hair - curly hair - and although I never know what I think about a cut right after it is finished, I always walk out knowing it is good. Leslie sent out the most absurd and narcissistic email regarding her pricing I have ever seen. She more than doubled her prices and justified it with an overarching pseudo attempt at making it sound like she was making a haircut into a 5 star spa, politically noble and health beneficial sized experience. It's bullshit. "exciting changes I will be making at river moving forward and I believe the changes will allow for even more of an elevated, transparent, holistic, and relaxed experience. It will also allow me the space and time to perform your service with the artistic and caring intent I have for my craft."The changes are as follows: $300 a haircut. Cleverly she changed pricing to $150 per hr and a minimum of 2 hrs. Leslie, if u want to drain people of their money don't make it sound like ur doing them a favor. Also, wanting to be "fair" regarding genders!" Give us a break! Ur very talented but not a genius. Also, does this mean we have to listen to you talk about your life or u have to listen to us only? Just say ur more than doubling your pricing without Donald Trumping ur clients and blowing smoke up our asses. Bye! Bye! P. S. It's no luxury experience getting ur haircut at River aside from having to often wait for some random person to open the door to the building and hoping to get through a second door on the second floor, it's as plain as it gets.
