This place has a limited capacity, and they will make you wait outside. Overall, I would describe drinks as less than subpar, very watery. On Karaoke nights, Kenny makes sure the "stars" (aka wanna be American Idol contestants) get 3-5 slots and after that you have to pay to get on stage. There's a big bucket of peanuts in the front that I find myself drunkenly attacking. I found the staff to be scantily clad but they were attentive and polite. Once you get passed the name and waitress uniforms, it's just a cramped dive bar. Visited Indy with a bachelorette party last weekend and we loved Wild Beaver so much we went back 2 nights in a row! The bartenders were all nice, funny and engaging. The karaoke was inviting and judgement free. We especially loved when the employees sang songs. They also have a selection of Wild Beaver shots to choose from which were all very tasty and not too pricey! (I sampled most of them of course!) On our second night we had reservations at Howl at the Moon and ended up at Wild Beaver because it was honestly so much better and more fun. If I ever visit Indy again, I will definitely go back to the Wild Beav. read more

Other than hot, scantily-clad bartenders, this place doesn't have much to offer. Every so often, the bartenders all take a break and dance on the bar for a song. It's like a tamer Coyote Ugly. just a heads up, this place is tiny! It's surprising at first because you think there is more in the back by then there is just a wall. Karaoke is really fun but when i went there was a huge crowd but once i got up for karaoke there was basically nobody there. My wife, friends and I have been here many times, we love this place. Not one of the biggest clubs but is still fun! That's really only one of the complaints I'd have of this place is the size! We headed downtown early before the final four games on Friday to enjoy a little pre-game celebration. Now seeing as 4 major colleges and their fans were all in downtown indy, you can understand that it was crowded everywhere. There were lines out the door at 130 on a Friday afternoon. Not feeling like chatting it up with west virginia fans, my friend and I walked around the corner and found the wild beaver saloon. We got there right before a big line started to form and were able to snag some seats at the front bar when a group left. The feel of this place is kind of like a really bad theme park meets Coyote Ugly. Its definitely a cheese ball place. The bartenders wear ref jerseys and low cut-off jeans and dance on the bar, but they don't yell at you as much as coyote ugly bartenders do, so that would be a plus. Drinks weren't too bad and even though it was crazy crowded we never had to wait for a drink (though our clutch acquisition of seats right next to the bar may have helped that). Everyone was rowdy, it was close to game time and people from all 4 final four schools were represented in the bar so it was definitely a good time. I don't know if I'd go here at night but for some odd reason this place hit the spot at 2pm. Plus they have the chilled patron machine that serves it at 8 degrees, thats worth at least a star in my book. Don't go here expecting anything amazing, go here knowing its the kind of bar that sells t-shirts and hats and plays to the corporate merchandising bar theme. With that in mind go get yourself a patron shot and don't worry about anything else. read more

Hmmm- first thing that you noticed when walking toward the door is a young kid standing there begging you to let him ride in with you. WT? It was late around 10 pm when we got there on a weekday night THUR, so it was not that crowded. GF went to the bathroom and almost upchuck her dinner since it was so gross. I DID NOT want to hear about it, so her to drink up. We stayed bc we wanted to do karaoke but the DJs were so lame!!! They made us wait til the end of the night since we were not regulars.... Had a great time at the establishment until a disgruntled employee took position behind the bar. After residing in the establishment for an hour I was made the scapegoat for a broken bottle that fell on the east side of the bar. Despite not breaking the bottle, I was verbally condemned by the bartender that I verbally and physically assaulted her---which was not the case given that I haven't spoken to her before. She asked for security to remove me, but I left long ago as a result as a result of the aggressive behavior of the bartender. 2/10. Personal issues should be left at the door and not taken out on patrons. read more

I've been to the one in Nashville... It was amazing! The one in Indianapolis, however, not so much! It's extremely small. There is only one bathroom that both men and women have to share. It takes forever to get a drink and it's so crowded you can barely move. I guess I was just expecting a little bit more after being in the one in Nashville. People were friendly. Bathroom was a mess. Thumbs down on the Karaoke. They are a "Karaoke" bar but have some serious issues with the DJ or "KJ". I really like the rest of the bar. Not bad prices on drinks, great bartenders, cool atmosphere. But I go there to sing karaoke, and I don't go to sing karaoke with the KJ. It is about the rudest thing for him to pick up the mic, even if someone isn't doing well, and sing their song with them. Reasonable prices and friendly bartenders. I'm not entirely sure if there was any alcohol in the "beaver juice" that I drank, but it was pretty good. We came relatively early on a Friday night, so it wasn't too crowded and seating wasn't an issue. It's a small space, though, so I can see where that might be a problem when it gets busier in the later hours. Unfortunately I will never be going to this bar again. The two bartenders were awful and super rude to everyone. Took 20 minutes to order a drink because they wanted to check their snaps and Facebook notifications first. Very unprofessional. Called us out for waving our cards because "they don't respond to that". Was it impatient to wave cards out? Sure. However, I think the fact that the bartenders were intentionally ignoring my fiancé and her friends for 15 mins multiple times is an absolute joke and that management should strongly consider having better training for the establishments bartenders. Sausage Fest... But that was probably because the female bartenders wear cut off jeans that completely let their rear hang out. Every person in the bar was friendly, and the bartenders were fast and efficient. The prices were reasonable and it was within walking distance to a multitude of other places which is perfect for a transient drinker such as myself. It was small but that was what I liked about it. The karaoke was a lot of fun to watch, and the ladies even got up on the bar to dance. The energy here is great and the crowd ranges from young hipsters to older country-style folk. Seemed like a pretty slow night. So, I went in solo on the Friday before the NFL season started. I thought the place would be packed and have tons of fun people getting after the karaoke. Well, neither of those things were the case this night. I showed up around 11:30, ordered a Jameson and Bud Light and was served quite quickly. The Jameson was served in a plastic shot glass, which is a little too divey even for my taste. I ended up having about 6 drinks, with each round only running $9. So, there is the draw for me in the future. Cheap drinks and a complete wood interior, cause, beavers. Reminded me a little of home, but was very lack luster. I am in Indy for another couple nights, so I might swing by and see if the crowd picks up at all. They also had cornhole out front, so that was kind of awesome also. read more

Being a tourist, I found this to be a pretty great party place on a Saturday night when they have karaoke. I made the mistake of going on a Monday night too when there is no karaoke, and it was dead. The service is great in the front bar but the back bar (on Sat night) the bartender lady was standing near some dude on stage all night talking or texting or maybe facebooking on her phone. The place was packed elbow to elbow which was a bit uncomfortable but then again that's the price you pay for a popular night spot. There is one very hot babe waitress there. The bartender women are also attractive. It is a bit cheesy the decor and theme, a bit sexist I guess, but then again there were a lot of young women there who didn't seem to mind. I met up with an old friend around 8pm on 5/13 for beers and the first thing I noticed was the strong smell of urine as I walked in the door. My friend and his buddy already had drinks and called the bartender over to take my drink order but as soon as she saw I was female, took a good fifteen minutes to do so. We all ordered a different shot and after she served us never came back to our end of the bar to see if we wanted anything else. I would give a one-star but she did make my chocolate cake shot correctly but that's the only saving grace, will never go there again read more
