My father in law is a bird enthusiast. I would never have known this place existed without him. This little store is in a strip mall not far from the Tyler Mall. The lady at the store was so friendly and helpful. They have bird feeders, bird food, chimes, merchandise related to birds. They prices are a bit high but expected. read more

Was a great find this was! We had gone hunting for bird feeders after a couple of unusual, yellow feathered birds started helping themselves to our hummingbird feeders. Our hunt started with several nurseries in the area, nope nothing good. Then we hit up a bird farm in the area. It was there we learned we had two stunning orioles, a mamma and a papa. And it seems they are not seed eaters. They love nectar. Who knew? The bird farm failed to carry much to our liking, but the sales person made a point of mentioning Wild Bird Unlimited just a couple miles down the road. Little did I know how surprised we would be. This shop does not carry live birds. They carry the accessories that will transform your garden into a bird paradise: interesting and unique feeders of all kinds, water fountains, bird baths, some very classic chimes, ant repellant, and of course many different kinds of nectar and seeds, to name a few. And for the ladies, unusual jewelry, shirts, hats, and knick knacks, many bird and insect related. Not only is the store delightful, but the person assisting us, Teresa, was a real treasure. Her patience and friendly demeanor entranced us into buying much more than we had originally planned. We would return just for the pleasure of meeting her again. I stopped by yesterday to find a Mother's Day gift. My Mom loves watching and feeding the wild birds that frequent her yard, and this seemed like a great place to find something she'd enjoy. They have a huge selection of seed, feeders, wind chimes, books and even jewelry. I decided on a pair of earrings, a hummingbird window feeder, and an adorable racoon shaped seed character. She loved them all! My Dad was also really impressed with the quality of the feeder. He said that they had thrown out their old one because it attracted ants. The one that I bought here has an ant moat to keep them at bay, as well as a lifetime warranty. I didn't get the name of the woman that helped me, but she was great. She answered all my questions, and you could tell she really loves birds and sharing her knowledge. She gave me a flyer for the store , and told me they deliver. When I passed that info on to my parents, they were thrilled! They told me that they have had a hard time finding Nyger seed since their regular store stopped carrying it. Been a loyal customer ever since Frankie the days g worked there. I bought four plastic hummingbird feeders that were light enough and small enough to keep fresh food in consistently. These feeders are the biggest pieces of junk I've ever bough. The tops weee held on with glue. After less than a month they fall off the hooks. Even trying to hot glue the tops doesn't work. Can't drive so much gas to get crap merchandise. I guess Amazon is my next choice. read more

The store is kind of hidden in a non descript strip mall, but don't let that deter you. They have a lot of great items for birds, hummingbirds and cute outdoor décor. They have the best no waste, no millet bird seed that is hard to find. It's the most expensive seed I've ever bought, but my wild birds are obsessed with it and it does the least damage to my landscaping. I ended up getting the membership to get the best value. I love this place, I feed the wild birds out back and they have everything you need and are very knowledgeable and helpful.

It shouldn't have taken me this long to get to this review. Since moving to riverside about 2 years ago, we have gone here for all our birding needs. We do an awful lot of shopping online these days, but in this case the brick and mortar wins. Excellent products, knowledgeable people and very friendly service. You need to feed your birds fresh stuff, and when you order from other places online, you can't be sure what you are getting. The seed here is superior to all we have tried! This store is truly amazing, after couple visits they greet you by your name and offer you water or coffee and sometimes cookies or candy. We have been going there for several years now and we are always looking forward to a good conversation with Mary Ann the owner, she makes you feel like a family member. Their knowledge of local birds is exceptional and when they have a clinic it is informative and very helpful. They never try to oversell you and even recommend to start out slow to see if bird feeding is for you. The new location is very spacious and they have a great variety of items to choose from. They stand behind their Wild birds Unlimited products and will replace the feeders is there's any problems. We miss chatting with Ben, Mary Ann's son, and we hope to see him one of these days.
