Protect this place at all costs! This restaurant is amazing and at an incredible value. My wife and I chose their buffet and were not disappointed. While their buffet selections are limited compared to other Chinese buffets, they have many delicious food. Their fried chicken is crispy, moist, and oh so delicious. This was definitely the star of the meal for me. They also serve chow mein, fried rice, tempura, orange chicken, and sweet and sour pork to name a few. While we chose the buffet, if you chose their take out, you will leave with food for tonight and many more. I sat and watched as they piled on food into the to-go trays. So I'm on my way home from Sacramento then my constant glucose monitor starts beeping and my blood sugar is down to 59 (if you're diabetic, you understand) can't make it home to cook and I don't wanna scarf down a candy bar so I see Wild Chinese Buffet in Lodi, very simple ambience, nothing fancy tables, chairs, Sriracha sauce, and soy sauce on the table. For the price, you can't go wrong, friendly workers, there probably the owner and his wife, very attentive. I chose water because I don't wanna spend two dollars and some change for soda. I love that they had egg flower soup, that was on point and delicious. I had a little fried rice that was very good. I always choose white rice. I like it because they bring it from the back and it's piping hot. The orange chicken was good. The deep fried zucchini and broccoli was delicious. they had garlic chicken, garlic, chicken nuggets, all the usual buffet food. Would I come here again? Definitely!!! Best Chinese food in the county, real quality and taste, amazing selection and price you cant beat literally anywhere else. I'm aware of Shermans buffet but those places are in the gutter, always sloppy luke warm food and this place just blows it out of the water with the quality and freshness I can not recommend it enough. I live about 25-30 minutes away and I make the drive every time, its the only chinese food place I go to and will ever go to for quality takeout. You only get styrofoam plates and plastic utensils but thats the point! You arent going for dressed up servers and ambient lighting, you go there for food and anyone saying anything else doesnt understand that I recommend getting the general chicken and fried rice, the fried rice is especially good it has a nice smoky flavor. First time here while visiting Lodi. Because of the fairly good reviews and proximity to my hotel I decided to come here for a bite to eat. I got the 4 item plate to go with chow mein/egg rolls/Mongolian (chicken?) and fried chicken. So for one there was a good amount of food. However everything... EVERYTHING was way too soft and squishy...I excuse the egg rolls which was nothing but chopped veggies in a egg roll wrapper...the fried chicken was boneless which I didn't know and had a weird after taste & pretty salty...the Mongolian one was also super soft meat but I did like the chilies...also too salty. I dislike paying money for subpar food and at almost 10$ I probably could've gone to another Chinese food place or if I was desperate - Panda Express. Clean and casual all day dining. I took my order to go and my box was super loaded! Large portions for less than $10 bucks. As one of my sides, I requested a giant piece of fried chicken and it surprisingly came with two, and it nearly took up half the box! Depending on your appetite, the entree with four sides is definitely shareable. Food isn't heavily seasoned or too greasy. Fresh ingredients, as they kept popping out of the kitchen with new trays of food. My broccoli was the perfect balance of soft and crunchy, not over cooked or soggy. Cream cheese wontons were generously filled and deliciously creamy. Large beverage is less than $2! Busy place filled with lots of customers and I can definitely see why. I'm not sure what the negative reviews were for. We had lunch and didn't have one lousy item. The majority of their dishes are chicken based except for the beef Chow Fun, which was great because a person at our party has a beef allergy and usually has little that they can eat. The cheese wontons were packed with cheese and were significant in size. Their egg drop soup was wonderful and light. The tempura veggies were my favorite as I am picky about the batter. The staff was super polite! The dining area isn't much, just a room with tables and chairs. However, I wasn't there for the seating area, so that didn't bother me. The prices are lower than in other places, which is nice. For 6 of us, it's usually $100+ to eat out. My family is picky regarding Chinese food, and not one person complained, which was a miracle because someone always finds something. You have to try this place out, it looks small from the outside, and when walking inside, there is a small area for food. However, there was a lot of selection. By the time we left the place was getting paced. When we're in lodi, we will be stopping back in. read more

Great value as a buffet and great value as a quick take out. For around 10-15 bucks you can either take out or eat all you can. It works so very well if you choose dine in or take out because the hot table is frequently being consumed and refilled. There is enough traffic dining in on the weekdays and I've noticed there is a lot of customers taking out as well. The hot tables are simple and don't contain items that shouldn't be there when compared to other Chinese buffets, ie (no sushi, pizza, ice cream). Just the usual Chinese take out items.
