This is the BEST bakery I have ever been to. Amazing selection of pastries, breads and deserts. Staff is super friendly. Ambiance is busy but relaxed. Coffee is strong and pairs perfectly with one of their sweet rolls. Thank god this is not in my home town or I'd be 400 lbs. if you're visiting Bozeman this is a must try place, you'd be missing out on the joys of life if you skip out on the carbs while in town. Didn't love my selections from Wild Crumb and even wasted one of them in its entirety since the other two didn't impress me much. We spotted the lengthy line and I really don't do lines if I can help it, picked up lattes next door at Treeline then returned when the wait appeared appropriate. The place is really cute and the spread was impressive. It was our turn to order and I had no clue which direction to go. I knew we were going to head out to hike so I didn't want to overdo it. I glanced over the items and selected a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon macaroon and a berry and chamomile pastry. We sat outside and I had a bit of the ham and cheese croissant which was fine enough, I took a bite of the macaroon and didn't care for it at all. It wasn't my style macaroon, much too crunchy/crispy for me and I all together just passed on the fruit pastry. My friend continued to remind me throughout the day and even flew home with the other pastry thinking I'd get hungry and want to snack on it but nope! I wasn't interested, the other items let me down. I'd still return though, know that feeling... when you're not really satisfied but you think they have potential with the plethora of other options. Sometimes you just have to find what you like at a place. I should have ordered a slice of the carrot cake, it looked really tasty. There were also many fresh loaves of bread which could be great for french toast or sandwiches. I'd return but I'd order all different things. The community seems to really like this place, that's why I chuck this experience up to possibly missing the goods. We snagged side street parking but if you live close enough to walk, jog, bike I'd of course always recommend that. read more

Love it love it love it! This is the kind of bakery that every town should have, but unfortunately doesn't. Fresh baked goods for every preference, from savories to sweets and lovely loaves of bread. Due to the popularity, expect lines, quick moving staff, and total freshness. Highly recommend for roadtrippers as a brilliant stop for snacks and treats. I picked up a strawberry rhubarb pie for family in Idaho, and they loved it! Actually wish I'd kept it for myself, which I know is selfish, but one doesn't come across such good pies often. If you are on a diet or allergic to butter, avoid Wild Crumb. It is ridiculously yummy. From the almond croissant to the snickerdoodle to the bread pudding, everything was top notch. The line can be long, so bring your patience. You will be well rewarded in the end. And be ware if parking, or lack there of. Excellent pastries. There was a line out the door and a lot of locals which is always nice to see. They have a pretty efficient method of taking orders so we didn't wait too long. I stop by wild crumb at least once a week. I usually get a pastry with macarons being my favorite, although I've also had a raspberry danish that was to die for. I purchased a load of bread to take home with me last weekend, and was not disappointed! Chewy, tasty, excellent texture - it was amazing. They're always busy but the service is great. The servers behind the counter are always cheerful and friendly, and even with the place so busy I never have to wait very long. Dropped by here for an after brunch snack. When you walk in you're hit in the face with carbs, butter and garlic. Is that the smell of heaven? Their bakery items looked fresh and the staff was nice. Since we were pretty full we only grabbed some sweets and promised each other we'd be back for lunch later this week. Overall it's so hard to bake at altitude so I give them a lot of props for being able to get their goodies so fresh, soft and buttery. Wild Crumb has the most amazing croissants and artisan bread--the best I've ever had in any city. No kidding. The only problem is they don't bake enough--get there before 10:00. And always a friendly, efficient staff. This bakery rivals anything San Francisco has to offer and you don't have deal with stepping over humans to get in the door. Let me just say, the baked goods are fan-freakin'-tastic. Their croissants are flaky, buttery, perfection. Their sourdoughs are *chef's kiss*. We actually bought a pre sliced sourdough loaf to use as sandwich bread in Yellowstone NP and it was the best choice. However, they still have many rules about social distancing, which is fine, but to the point they started fussing at a two year old little boy about getting to close to the counter, it rubbed me a little wrong. Visited twice while in Bozeman. First time - amazing! Delicious Strawberry Cream Puff and Chocolate Bread Pudding. Yum! Second time - not good. While waiting on line I was waiting to order a slice of carrot cake but there was a fly walking all over one of the slices. We tried shooing it away but could not. Girl came over to serve us, we mentioned it, she looks at it (still there), smiles and says, "it's that time of the year". Never shooed it away or took the slice away! Needless to say we didn't order it. That piece should have been thrown away! The fly was still on it as we paid for our baguette and left! read more

Their huckleberry scone and all their breads are amazing - You can ask to slice most loaves. There is always a line out the door, so go early on weekends. I would say for croissants and more classic French pastries, check out Vienne instead. Wild Crumb misses the mark on croissants. read more

This is still Bozeman's Best Bakery, but their turkey sandwich is now clearly second best to Vienne. It is a magical place to arrive as soon as they open when all of the baking splendor is displayed. But you will need to arrive 35 minutes before they open as the sprinter vans usually begin jockeying for parking just before dawn. Parking is the real challenge here. A five block radius around the building has been classified as a parking danger zone. The building is about to go under a 3 year build and intensification which compounds the challenges of finding a parking spot in an already hostile environment. Locals who are still frequenting the establishment have resorted to parking at the fairgrounds or public library and walking it in from there. Be careful when driving in the area as pedestrians have abandoned all caution and respect for jay walking laws and will leap out from behind a Subaru Outback with no warning. The buns, granola and other misc. items opposite the cashier are pretty killer and often overlooked. read more

Great stop. We landed in Bozeman (coming from the east coast) around noon. Came straight here (thanks to Yelp). Had an amazing mini-baguette sandwich and coffees. We also bought a baguette to enjoy while hiking the next few days (and we did in front of the backside of the Tetons and halfway through a 4+mile hike atop Bridger gondola).
