I went to this place on my way to Yosemite, the place is running by kind people. I got there 5 minutes after they closed, and they took our orders with their great burgers. I recommend this place and the area for shopping.

The Cubano with fries. Meaty fries and clean tasting sandwich.

Be prepared: Check out the menu on the right and have your selection(s) ready, then you'll approach the register to place your order, followed by selecting your table. Be mindful, if you need the exterior restroom access, you'll need the door code. Great customer service right out the gate. We placed our order and were interested in coffee that they serve from Mariposa Roasting Co. but totally forgot before we left. I ordered a delicious "pot pie" style Biscuits and Chicken Gravy. The leeks REALLY made this dish special for me. My wife ordered a Cubano with fries. The Cubano was very clean and good. The fries were very meaty. Definitely worth visiting again!

The tomato eggs Benedict was really good. I loved the sauce. Might be the best I've ever had. It took a minute to get the food but they were busy and everything was from scratch including my wife's biscuits and gravy. The service was divine. Bailey was attentive and helpful. Make sure to ask for her to be your server and tip liberally to help her finance her college education. We sat outside under green umbrellas and enjoyed the breeze. We will be back.

This place is seriously phenomenal. I've gone three times this summer from Fresno and it's worth it every time. it is so refreshing to eat at a place that truly cares about what they're serving. The food they serve is high-quality, healthy, and farm to table. There's hardly anything like this in the valley. I so appreciate the quality of ingredients and the effort that they put into the food. It doesn't go unnoticed. Yesterday I tried the grilled veggie sandwich and it was soooooo amazing. I'm already craving it again today. Service is great. They're always checking on you. The ambience is a little small but very clean and pleasant in the little village area. If there's a wait for food, you can explore the little shops on the weekends. If you're looking for a place to fuel up before any activities in the mountains this is the place to do it. And you'll leave feeling great too.

Really cute and nice place!! I really liked their chicken sandwich. Eveyone who worked there was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave me and my girlfriend some ideas about places to hike nearby and views to see!!

Ahhh the wild fig. I always stop there when I'm in the area. Great American breakfast with a fun twist. I much preferred the old table service over the current counter buy and sit model, but turnover on staff makes that hard to do. Take a minute and dig through the menu. There are lots of good choices. I always get the same scrambles so I'm not much help. (They definitely need to put batteries in the fans late summer though.)

Way better than expected. Great service and the food reminds me of old time diners where it's made from scratch, an experience I've been missing

We always have to grab a meal at Wild Fig Kitchen when we are in the area. This time we had brunch and once again they did not disappoint! I had the French toast with a side of bacon and my hubby had his favorite the sweet potato hash. As always the staff were all so friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great and I loved the holiday decor.

    Chicken and waffles!

I am a big chicken and waffles girl and when i heard the host make the statement that there C&W is better than Roscoe's, i just had to try it. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed as it was better (and also cheaper) but definitely exceeded in quality! Happy to come back here again and again!

The food was overall okay and reasonably priced. After checking out, I ordered a lavender lemonade to go, but unfortunately I found a hair in it when I got to my car, which was pretty disappointing. I threw it away right away since I was shocked. Not sure if I'll come back, but I wish I had taken a photo.

Great and friendly service. The weather was nice, so we decided to sit in the patio. Luckily there wasn't a long line when we arrived. The lattes and hot food are brought to the table when they are ready. Everything was delicious, but pastries were exceptional. I don't usually post things like this, but I feel like I need to share my experience…read more I've been a regular customer at this coffee shop for months. I used to go almost every day, I've supported them consistently, bought drinks and beans there regularly, and it was part of my daily routine during a really difficult time in my life. My usual drink isn't available on their online ordering system, so I've always called ahead to place my order. That has never been an issue before. They knew my order so well that they referred to it as "the Amy Special," and there were times my drink was prepared ahead of time for me to pick up when I arrived. Today I called to place my usual order. I was told the person on the phone was the owner, and I was told they had been discussing my drink and that it was "very unusual," and that I would need to come in to order instead. I asked for clarification because I've always ordered the same way for months. I was told again that I would need to come in, and that my drink was too complicated to order over the phone. I explained that I've been ordering this drink the same way for a long time and that I've always been able to call it in before. After I said I was going through a hard time and wasn't really up for coming in, the call ended. When I called back, the phone was hung up on multiple times before I was able to briefly speak with someone again. When I did finally speak with someone I recognized, my reaction was emotional because I was confused and hurt by what was happening, and the interaction didn't feel like the experience I had come to expect from them. What I'm upset about is not that a business can change how they operate. What I'm upset about is that there was no clear communication that a policy had changed, and no explanation that made sense of why something that had been routine for months was suddenly not allowed. I'm sharing this because I genuinely thought I had a good relationship with this place as a customer, and today's experience didn't reflect that. This was a place I supported daily for a long time, and it became part of my routine during a period of my life when it genuinely mattered more than people probably realize. That's why today's experience felt so disappointing and hard to process.

Very friendly and helpful, I loved complimenting the baristas on their craft and passing along the cheerfulness from the cashier who was very welcoming. The patio was busy-ish with people flocking in and out to pick up their orders once their name was called. I liked the combination of rustic and modern decorations, making for AN EXCELLENT stop before heading in or out of Yosemite. That is exactly what happened during my recent dinner at Elderberry House. I visited with a group of four, and between us, we had two gluten-free diners and one vegetarian. After a quick heads-up the day before, the restaurant handled our needs with total ease. We went for the five-course tasting menu, and it was incredible from start to finish. We kicked things off with one of the best oysters I have ever had, followed by a beautiful tuna presentation. The kitchen even looked out for our gluten-free friends with a special version of their herbal-butter focaccia that was actually delicious. By the time the main courses arrived, I honestly could not decide if I liked my beef or my friend's snap pea risotto better; every single bite was pure perfection. The cocktails were another high point. My first drink was great, but after chatting with our server, Jordan, I decided to try the Last Word. It featured that hard-to-find green chartreuse, and I am a little annoyed to report that I have a new favorite cocktail that requires such a rare ingredient. The service is what really made the night so special. Jordan was so charismatic and helpful, making sure we were perfectly taken care of all evening. He was so good that I almost worried a second visit would not be the same without him, though the rest of the staff quickly put that fear to rest. Abby was so friendly and responsible for a truly unique but perfect-for-the-vibe playlist, and Chris the mixologist even stopped by to geek out about gin and cocktails with us. From the genuine care for our food sensitivities to the clever touch of the iPad check-in hidden in an elegant binder, it was a night for the books. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing my family next!

Vintage Steak House, Coarsegold: 2026 Jun 7 (4.72 of 5)…read more Vintage Steakhouse is one of our go-to eateries. We're celebrating our 35th year wedding anniversary here. From the time we stepped in and was greeted by the friendly hostess to the time we left, we were genuinely pleased with the staff here. I ordered the Tasting Menu and my hubby ordered French Onion Soup, Oscar Stryle & Prime Rib from their main menu. TASTING MENU: Amuse Bouche (watermelon gazpacho shooter): Refreshing way to awaken the palate. (5 of 5) Seared Sea Scallops (seared scallops, honey dijon aioli, citrus caviar beurre blanc): The crisp, caramelized crust of the scallops opens up to a luxurious naturally sweet and juicy interior. The scallops had depth of flavour, and the citrus shines through. It's buttery without any fishiness. The asparagus pieces were cooked through but still maintain its crunch. Everything works on this plate. (5 of 5) Chef Victor (sic) Pan Roasted Salmon (seared salmon preserved lemon beurre blanc, salmon chicharron, dill oil): The fish was beautifully seasoned and the sauce complemented the fish. What a perfect match - lemon beurre blanc and dill oil. The topper was bland but the sauce makes up for it. I could lick up the sauce - it's that good. (4.75 of 5) Chef Eli (sic) Filet Mignon (7 oz sliced filet mignon steak, carrot puree, oyster mushrooms, bordelaise sauce, crispy parsnip): A good filet mignon should melt-in-your-mouth because it comes from the softest, lean meat cut. My medium rare order was nearly there but the meat arrived cold. The carrot puree is vibrant in color - has a smooth, naturally sweet, earthy taste, and balanced perfectly with the meat. The mushrooms were over salted but was helped by the sweet smooth carrot puree. The cold meat brought an otherwise perfect score down. (4.5 of 5) Chef Jose (sic) White Chocolate Mousse (callebaut belgium white chocolate mousse filled with raspberry gel on top of a sacher torte sponge with fresh raspberries and chantilly cream): When I think of chocolate mousse, I think delicate, light, airy, cloud-like melt-in-your-mouth yumminess. This didn't have that. The dome was a hard shell. Though the presentation aced on this dessert, the texture and flavour did not quite live up to its name. (3.5 of 5) French Onion Soup: This is the ultimate comfort food. It offers a bold harmony of sweet, caramelized onions and rich, savoury beef broth, crowned with a thick layer of gooey, toasted cheese. Very satisfying. (5 of 5) SURF n TURF: Prime Rib 12 oz: The medium rare meat was beautiful to look at but not quite as brilliant to eat. Overall, this is a tasty dish but was quite chewy. They aced the sauce. (4.25 of 5) Oscar Style Crab: The Oscar-style crab béarnaise sauce combines the sweet, flaky texture of crabmeat with a warm, velvety French emulsion of butter, egg yolks, and herbs. It's luxurious, rich flavour is complex and decadent but balanced. Great harmony. So indulgent! (5 of 5) Our server, Steven is amiable but not in your face, which we truly appreciate. Steven radiates warmth and good-natured charm. (5 of 5) We were seated at a table but changed our seating to bar-side. They have an open-kitchen concept. From there, we could see who's cooking our meal and watch the seamless quiet communication and the care each chef takes in presenting the dishes. Sam, who worked on the salads was friendly and truly a genius in balancing the different textures and flavours together. (5 of 5) The complimentary bread came warm and tasted fresh. We were also presented with a complimentary dessert with the words "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate. (5 of 5) Mixed Drinks: Very good mix by bartender George. (5 of 5)
