The food was fine. The young man working was polite. That is as fair as the positive goes. The owner,or co-owner was so rude. She snapped at not only my husband but always a young man ahead of us. She was blatantly being petty because she had to take time out and help us. In a small town with alot of local people here,i have never once seen a honesty good review of this place. The employee put two more slices of olives as I stared at him thinking he was joking. I asked if I could have some more and he said that he couldn't and that they were "expensive". I'm paying 7 dollars for what might be tuna on some bread. THAT is expensive. You know what costs a company even more that a couple black olives? Permanently losing that customer that is willing to pay 7$ for a sub-par sandwich. Just close down already like the other subways, avoid this place and do not give them your money because they clearly don't value you as a customer. Drive 10 minutes and go to the one in Oakhurst. It was pretty busy. The workers were very nice! I ordered a rotisserie chicken wrap. Picked the spinach wrap. Pepper jack cheese, all the veggies and extra jalapeños. The wrap was made pretty quickly. The place was a little messy. It was pretty low key. The wrap tasted really delicious! The pepper jack cheese and jalapeños made it even better! Great wrap! BAN THIS JOINT! I went in to order me and my girlfriend each a lunch wrap for her birthday and also grabbed some kind of breakfast bowl for myself. 3 items . . . The total was nearly $35!!!! The lady that owns and runs the place is charging extras for things that should not be charged for and there was no justification at all in this ridiculous overcharging. Been to this Subway 2 or 3 times in 6 months. The first couple times I was annoyed by the rule posted for no extra veggies. These are not cheap sandwiches especially since they won't take coupons and don't participate in many Subway promos and now if I want extra lettuce and nothing more its a no???? Never been to a subway that does this. For example the $5 footlongs are $7.50 so 50% more. It's not in Yosemite guys. 2 footlong subs for me and 2 kids were $25. So no extra veggies, no soda refills, no paper coupons, no specials, no roast beef, no chicken. Also I mentioned to them the prior time my kids sub was over $10 because of add ons he did and I didn't want that again. Then they charged me $2 for the thinnest bacon slices I've ever seen and $1.50 for literaly a sprinkling of cheese on top for a $13 sub with just meat and cheese. Would have been nice to get warned there would be extra charges since I mentioned it ahead of time. I was the only person in the place so it wasn't busy. To add insult to injury the special was $4 for 6 inch turkeys and we were charged $8.50 for each footlong so another $1 wasted. Just annoyed by the nickel and dimming at least let me get my dang veggies at that price. I would have eaten here 20 or 30 times in the 6 months I've lived in the area so they are pushing customers away. Everyone that works there has been nice, but there signs do all the heavy lifting I guess. If I could could give negative stars I would. On our way to Tenya Lodge We needed a restroom and we attempted to make a purchase and buy cookies for my daughters. The owner began to verbally assault my husband "what your not hungry?" The owner obviously wanted us to buy more and is undergoing some sort of buyers remorse--I mean if you're going to spend 400K+ on a franchise you should understand selling cheap sandwiches isn't going to pay the bills and it's NOT our fault. There isn't too much to eat in this area. My daughter wanted subway so we came here. Literally all she eats is the bread and meat. I asked about getting a six-inch just bread and turkey meat and they still would've charged us about $7. Kind of ridiculous since I can go to the store for bread and meat for under four dollars making probably about seven sandwiches. So we decided on a kidsmeal. So we got a sandwich that was about 3-4". My daughter doesn't like juice and didn't want the apple slices so I asked about a soda. The guy said that they would have to charge me extra for the soda. I told him that we weren't getting the Apple slices or the juice so why would I have to pay one or two dollars extra on top of five dollars for a 3" sandwich. So I would be paying seven dollars just for a 3 inch sandwich and a small soda. How can that be justified. Adult meals you get a hell of a lot more than that for less. So the manager just said whatever and went ahead and gave me the soda without having to charge me more than five dollars. read more

We came to town for the weekend and stopped by before going to The park. The lady I'm assuming was the manager was extremely rude and treating us like we were an inconvenience. I could barely understand her and hear her over the glass I tried to be as polite as possible and asked her if she could speak a little louder which made her even more upset. We decided we were not going to pay to be treated this way so I told the younger lady we changed our minds and did not need to be treated this way nor deal with her rude behavior. She immediately told the older woman and as we were walking out she started yelling at me. Next thing I know she basically chased us all the way out to our car yelling at us. Got inches away from my 9-year-old whom I had to step in front of and asked her to please walk away and leave us alone. She kept on yelling god was watching us and saying she was cursing us and all sorts of other things. I did thank her for being such a beautiful human being and blessed her on her day (sarcasm of course) and she yelled her way all the way back in to the shop. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I came in here today to purchase a footlong turkey and cheese flatbread. I usually go to the Oakhurst Subway which isn't too far away but for lack of time I came here. Big mistake. I noticed that the prices were different than in Oakhurst by over $1 on many items. The sandwich maker began to make my sandwich. Golly, she literally put one cucumber down, one single line of olives, a couple pickles and so on with the remaining vegetables. It was slightly disappointing. At the bottom of each receipt when you go to any subway it has a website you can visit to complete a survey about the restaurant and you receive either a free 21oz drink or 2 free cookies with a purchase of a sandwich. I completed a survey for the last subway I went to. I politely asked the sandwich maker if they accept the survey code so I could get 2 cookies and she had to ask another lady whom I assume to be the store owner. The store owner asked if we took the survey for her restaurant. I said no and explained what it said on the website. She was SO rude. She first said I had to go to the same store I completed the survey on (even though it says valid at all subways on the subway survey website). She then muffled something about being honest and to come to her subway from now on. I couldn't understand her but she also said something about supporting locals. For the record I am a long time local. Her attitude and demeanor just turned me off to ever coming back or recommending to my friends and family. After minutes of going back and forth she did honor the survey code for the free item but only gave one cookie and I had to ask about getting the second one. I highly recommend driving the extra few minutes and going to Oakhurst to get super friendly service and a twice as big fresh sandwich! read more

This Subway is very stingy. If you ask for an extra tomato or an extra leaf of spinach, the owner refuses and yells at you. He gave up the sale of 3 sandwiches that were already half way made, because he didn't want to put an extra tomato on my sandwich. And, then argued with me about it. I am a 3-6 times per week subway customer. If all subways were like this location in coarsegold, I would never eat at subway again. Starting out with a less than friendly greeting, I proceeded to order a foot long veggie delight on Italian herbs and cheese bread. The bread had a couple of specs of cheese, about 2% of what is shown in the pictures. The lady making my sandwich seemed annoyed from the start. When I asked for spinach, she put exactly 6 leaves on the FOOTLONG. I asked for extra spinach, so she proceeded t add 3 extra leaves. The same thing happened with onions. In addition to this, she stopped dressing the sandwich about an inch from either end of the sandwhich, leaving just bread. Then to top this all off, a man proceeded to charge me for the sandwich and a bag of chips, and used his memory of the price. He didn't ring any of it up on the register. After eating a 6" ham sandwich, I developed a terrible case of food poisoning. It's been 5 days and I'm just now getting over it. Thinking back, it was very warm inside(didn't notice any AC) and all the window coverings to the meats, cheeses and veggies were all open. Other Subways that I have eaten at(Oakhurst and River Park), always seem to have cooler temps inside and usually have everything covered unless they are very busy. This Subway has the NICEST people working there....the owners are the sweetest, kindest business owners ever! Every time I go in there they are so nice! I call ahead and my sandwiches are ready and waiting for me, always with a kind word and a smile from the owner. One time I told him, "you are soooo nice!" He replied, "You are so nice too!" "How do you know?" I asked. He didn't miss a beat and answered," because you told me I am so nice."
