The staff there were very friendly. They were easy to pick up a conversation with and genuinely be interested in having one. When I couldn't find the food items I use to cook for my dogs they easily knew where they were which made my visit much more smoothly. The prices are GREAT and how they freeze their products definitely helps to keep the food items as fresh as possible when ready to cook. I love that they sell exotic meats. Looking to try grounded yak soon!

Have to admit, I grilled the swordfish and served it alongside freshly made mango/jalapeño salsa and it was superb! I had doubts, but it seems frozen swordfish steaks grill up very nicely. I whipped up a lemon garlic aioli for the roasted brussels sprouts and we gobbled up every bite! I'm much more likely to prep fresh fish and meat in the future, but I can easily see how I'd visit again if I'm craving something out of season. Yup, I'd give frozen a try again. Cheers, Yelp friends!

Great variety of meats including specialty meats such as bison and venison. They have sides and desserts too! Seafood selections are extensive. Quality of their products are excellent! Service is great, and store is well kept and maintained.

This is pretty much a pure "Frozen Food" market, but it seems "Fresh Frozen" quality with the meats and seafood. I went here and picked up their PICANHA, Brazilian Churrasco BBQ Rodizio style steak aka Top Sirloin Cap aka Coulotte, the top of the rump. @ Frozen freezer section dedicated for this popular cut of beef.

Wildfork is a specialty seafood grocery but also carries other items. This is a more expensive type of store located in expensive Manhattan Beach(avg. home price $3.5 million and full of empty houses). So one should not expect deals and bargains here. However, the quality is very good with hard to find items. I had an excellent frozen lasagna and potato/broccoli/cheese patties from Italy and Belgium which were delicious and worth the extra price, in my opinion. Service and communication needs some improvement but not bad. The location is good at the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Sepulveda(aka PCH). HOWEVER, BE VERY CAREFUL DRIVING AND WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLISTS. There have been several fatal accidents on this stretch of road this past year.

First time customer!! I called to make Sure they had smoked duck breasts since I was driving from North Long Beach, Natalie assured me they did, I appreciate that! The store was immaculate, tidy. The staff was helpful. Lots of interesting items. I found Razor clams that I have always wanted to try. I did indeed find smoked duck and bought 5 pkgs. I also found 1 lb bricks of Elk & Yak. Something new for my family and turned them into delicious burgers for dinner. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Yak. YES, the prices are a bit scary and since it is close to Halloween, this is a great place to not be afraid! I have to say, their bathroom was SPOTLESS and smelled AMAZING!! Can't wait to try something else. Stick a Fork in me, I'm done!

So i'm not that impressed with Wild Fork. Folks seem to rave about it but i went in expecting more of a butcher style approach and in reality everything is frozen. Some of the stuff well over a year ago...i'm sure it is all fine but a few things i looked at were packaged a very long time ago...and prices were pretty high given that Lazy Acres, Gelsons and Whole Foods are close by. Yes, they have every meat imaginable. Yes, it's a bright new store. Yes, there's a ton of parking in this Target lot. Yes, all the staff were helpful But i just don't see how this lasts. I'm planning to do a ribeye challenge between Manhattan Meats (fresh cut) and Wild Fork to see which tastes better. I'll report back. For now I'm skeptical.

Great presentation, Great selection, well merchandised and prices seemed reasonable. Didn't buy anything on this trip, but certainly will on our next trip to this area.

Lastly we shared the tacos (1 cod 1 shrimp), tasty fat tacos. Accompanied with fresh chips and the guac and salsa that was tasty. What really set it for us, was while we were wrapping up the meal. My personal favorites are the lobster mac 'n' cheese, mussels, fish and chips, and the lobster bisque. Everything is flavorful, fresh, and prepared with care. Second, the bar. The drinks are perfectly balanced--strong enough to enjoy, but never overpowering. There's nothing worse than ordering a cocktail that tastes like juice with zero kick. That definitely doesn't happen here. The El Chapo margarita (along with many others I've tried) will have you feeling warm and fuzzy after the first sip! The location is another huge plus. If you enjoy people-watching, this is the spot. You get a perfect view of all the action, which makes the experience even more fun. Most importantly, the staff. Joe, Nicole, and (I believe his name is El D) El Dorado are fantastic. They're friendly, personable, attentive, and always seem to anticipate what you need before you even ask. They offer great suggestions and are wonderful conversationalists. They truly make you feel welcome, and if they have a moment, they'll happily stop and chat. I also want to give a special shoutout to Joe, the manager. I was organizing an event for my women's group--about 20 guests--and needed a venue that could work within a firm budget. When I called, Joe didn't hesitate to accommodate us. Many other South Bay locations either didn't respond or were outrageously expensive. This was seamless from start to finish. Joe worked with me to select the appetizers and music, ensured we always had water refilled and glasses topped off, and made sure every detail was handled. We had plenty of wine and appetizers, and the front area was reserved just for our group. The event was wonderful, and Joe's kindness and professionalism made it all so easy. Everyone loved Joe! Highly recommend Playa Hermosa--this place truly is a gem.
