Many years ago someone told me about this place and, while living in Littleton, it was until a couple weeks ago that we decided to give it a try. And man, were we missing out for a long time.. It is a small local restaurant where the people actually care about their regulars. While waiting to e seated I have seen several individuals being greeted and acknowledged by the staff there almost like family. The food was amazing and can't wait to try more of their dishes. Appetizers were great and this last time we tried the wild ginger shrimp.. so good with this orange glaze sauce.. yummy! And did I mention the food came out hot and fresh. You can't go wrong with this place. And if you're new to Thai food, don't have to go for anything too spicy. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; a very well kept restaurant. The service is quick, friendly, and very efficient. The food was amazing. I had the Pad Thai mild and hubby had Drunken Noodles Thai Hot. We also ordered the two person appetizer. The crab wontons were our favorite. Lunch time is a great time to try this location out and they have weekday specials. Some say the prices are high, but the quality of the food definitely calls for it. It's been around forever and they prepare some of the best Thai food in the area. Had a drunken noodles dish with soup and it couldn't have been better. Oooh, what a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be!! We were on our way to Damascus Grill when we passed Wild Ginger. We hadn't had good Thai in a loooong time, since Modern Thai is downtown and At Nine has gone seriously downhill. The service and food were both exceptional! My hot jasmine tea was refilled, and served in a mug rather than a tiny cup. BF's lemonade was just sweet enough. Water was also refilled promptly. There were menu items that neither of us had ever seen! BF had the Pad Thai with chicken. We also tried the Tidbit platter, which came with two pieces of three different appetizers and three sauces plus a tiny cucumber salad. I had Pad Pen Wan or something with chicken. It had pineapple, cucumber, tomatoes, and onions in a sweet and sour sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked, flavored, and had the level of spice that we requested. Portions are LARGE. BF's mango sticky rice was good, if not the best ever. The rice is a little cake with the sauce on top instead of mixed in. The mango was fresh and ripe. We'll go back. From the outside, this little place is not very exciting and easy to pass by, but inside, the people who work here are some of the nicest people and will make you happy you stopped in. The interior is clean and simple. The menu is vast, but from what I could tell, almost everyone orders some form of Pad Thai. We were told we were ordering jasmine tea, but the pot tasted like a green tea. It was good, but not what we were expecting for our meal with friends who always have jasmine tea together. We have eaten here many times over the last 30+ years. The seniors who used to run the place are gone now and it appears a new generation has taken over. Wild Ginger is as good as ever. One of our favorites is the wild ginger drink, which can be had either hot or cold. The ingredients are fresh, although I would say the servings are on the small side compared to some of their competitors. Service is very attentive. The building is ancient but still seems clean and inviting. We recently had a Chicken Satay appetizer here that came out undercooked-- read raw. While out shopping for a car, my wife and I were really hungry (something about how car shopping takes a long time really can make a person hangry). I looked on yelp and found that Wild Ginger wasn't too far away, and was highly rated, so we decided to give this place a try. The place is a little bigger than most Thai places, and was pretty full, even so the staff was very pleasant and attentive. It took a few minutes to get a table for two. We order Pad Thai with chicken, the pineapple fried rice, and a pineapple curry dish with shrimp, and split these 3 dishes. Every thing was top notch, and there were plenty of leftovers for the next day's lunch. It wasn't my favorite Pad Thai in the area (that title still belongs to Dancing Noodle), but it was still quite good. I like my Thai food quite a bit spicier than my wife, so it's always nice when the they will bring me some extra chili sauce to kick mine up a notch or two. Wow! We've driven by this place so many times and it always looks so empty. I should have believed the reviews sooner. The thai place closest to us told us an order would take an hour so we decided to give Wild Ginger a try. I'm so glad we did! I opted for the Red Panang Curry with Chicken - Medium heat. It was so delicious! The sauce was perfect. I didn't find it very spicy so I had to add lots of sriracha to mine. Next time I would opt for Hot. Yes, there will most definitely be a next time! Hubs had the Chicken Pad Thai also medium heat. His was noticeably spicier. I'm not sure if it's because the coconut mellowed the heat on mine? I still didn't think his was worthy of the sweats that he was miming- but I did have a cold, so that may have impaired my taste buds a bit. Anyway, I will definitely look to WG for my next Thai fix. read more

Another Thai family restaurant I had high hopes for but turned out average. Drunken noodles with beef was standard, it couldn't compare to the best drunken noodles I had in Alaska (go figure!) Chicken and pad Thai woon sen was disappointing. The proteins were dry and didn't feel like they were mixing very well with the dish. That's because the noodles were so clumped together you can use one chopstick to lift the whole thing up! At least they were saturated with flavor - just wish some was on the chicken and shrimp... This is the closest to Thailand that our family has tried so far. The atmosphere is simple and clean. You're greeted immediately at the front, pass by the bar with a gorgeous hand carved wooden sculpture mounted on the wall, and brought to the dining area with plenty of seating. The wait staff is attentive and fast with service. We have eaten here several times and are always satisfied and left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. I highly recommend their beef salad, papaya salad, a side of sticky rice, any of their curries, and any noodle dish, washed down with a Thai iced tea. Did I mention their tom yum soup? It really seems like I'm listing everything on their menu, isn't it? It's because it's all delicious. Don't forget to end your meal with some mango sticky rice!
