A short story and a review. I was introduced to Thai food by a coworker when we were working on a project in Nevada in the late 90s. He loved Asian food and had found a place in Vegas, the Lotus of Siam, and took me there. I loved it. Thai restaurants were less common in the Denver area back then but I found a place called Pad Thai with good food and went there often. My wife and I moved away from Lakewood but have recently returned and remembered Pad Thai, except now it is Bangkok Thai and we ate there last night. The food and service was excellent. I had the Green Curry with tofu and ordered it Thai Hot. It was fiery but delicious and loaded with vegetables and tofu, perhaps the best I have had since the LoS in Vegas (which, when I Googled it this morning, I learned has now received the James Beard Award). I highly recommend Bangkok Thai (but don't order the Thai Hot unless you can really tolerate the heat) and can't wait to go back. Note to "Jobillybob": Don't give up on this place. They raised their eyebrows when I ordered Thai Hot but I said "If it's too hot, it's my fault". It was not only hot enough but they brought a small bowl of chili flakes just in case I wanted to add more. read more

Ordered through DoorDash. The essan sausage meal cost me $40.00 but included 1 dry inedible sausage and no sticky rice. The prik pao noodles was supposed to be mild yet was so spicy, I couldn't eat it. The beef was dry and old. The food arrived late and was not even edible at all. Looked and tasted old. Never again!!! I entered this particular establishment as I have for the past 6 years. I made it a point to return as much as possible. The service is satisfactory, but the food is usually amazing! I visited on a Saturday and the place was empty . I ordered the pad thia at medium+ heat, only to be met with an unpleasant argument as to "what I can handle"! I should have walked out after the first taste, but I didn't. It was a barely mild and no where near what I had expected. This has been a great Fine since I just moved into the area. Tan and company run a delightful restaurant with authentic dishes and flavors from Thailand. This is reflected, even in their heat scale, which runs a little hotter than most Americanized Thai restaurants. Stopped by tonight for dinner - def recommend and will return. We ordered our usual: chicken green curry, medium spice. Medium spice here was perfect for us, but def spicier than most "medium" spice levels. The Thai fried rice and Pad See Ew was also really tasty. Staff were super friendly and laid back. We were seated immediately and checked on often, but not annoyingly often, lol. These guys are located on a quiet area with not too much action any where else. Don't let that stop you. One note if you need to visit their facilities: be ready. There is some sort of sewer type smell that I imagine they can't control well (or maybe at all as they are in a strip mall type area). Lots of candles and air fresheners around. Won't hold that against them as everything else was really great. read more

Recently moved to CO and think I've found my new favorite Thai place. I like spicy food (eat ghost pepper, scorprion, etc. hot sauces on the regular) so I always order Thai Hot since most Thai places see a white guy and water it down...not here...folks who like heat, flavor should definitely give Thai Bangkok a try. Ordered the usual Green Curry Thai Hot - fantastically hot and spicy, cleared my nose and throat...perfect. Was happy to see that the Green Curry actually included eggplant, squash, and other veggies. My son had his usual Pad See Ew Thai Hot without complaints, though he did say he'll likely just go Hot in the future. Tofu Spring rolls are like $10, but large and fresh with red and green leaf lettuce and other veggies with a side of some lovely warm peanut sauce. I've also enjoyed the Tom Kha but only at a Hot spice level as I thought Thai Hot here would drown out the lemon grass and galangal flavors...pretty good. We will be back often to try the rest of Tan's vegan, gluten free dishes. read more

The flavor of the food was alright, but the pricing was outrageously expensive. Over $70 to feed two people. The ambience was surreal... the music player was broken (we heard the first verse of "Always Remember Us This Way" by Lady Gaga at least 20 times on loop). The one server who was there to wait on the two tables who were present was never out in the front; the front of house was entirely empty of staff until the doorbell rang, at which point she'd come out, charge someone for their pickup, and disappear into the back again. We waited for far too long after finishing our food before I eventually gave up and opened the front door to get her attention, and then we paid and left. Genuinely shocked to see so many people review this place so highly... even if you manage to circumvent the dining in experience... the food was just so mid for the price paid. read more

Food is fabulous!! We try to eat here a couple times per month. I love the Penang curry with chicken and Bill loves the massaman curry with beef. I order the Penang mild plus which is about equivalent to medium elsewhere. Tan is the owner and is very friendly and wonderfully accommodating. Let me start by saying that this was my first time dining here and that I was also picking up. First off, there was a spicy option, so if mild is more your style, order that. The Thai Fried Rice with Chicken that I ordered had a mild-plus level of spice that was too hot for me. -If I could reorder, I would choose mild, even though it was tasty and fresh. What a hidden gem this restaurant is. The lady that served us was so sweet and funny. The food was amazing but be careful with the spice level. I ordered the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with Pork with medium heat. It was so delicious. The broth which makes the soup was perfection but it was spicy. I wish I had started with mild. This is a super cute spot that happens to be within 10 minutes of our house! The noodle dishes are delicious as well as the potstickers. The outside is crispy which made it yummy and unique. Very tasty food with one caveat, their food is spicier than most other Thai restaurants in the area. Their mild+ (mild plus) is equal to many other restaurants' medium. If you don't like any spice, don't come here. If you like a little spice, get the mild. If you like some spice, get mild+. read more

The place was not crowded for a late lunch/early dinner but very clean. I had a fried rice dish and ordered a 3 one the 1-5 hot scale. She talked me down to a two. When eating it was tasty but quite bland and I was led to believe that it was still going to be hot at a two. When I mentioned this she said that she went ahead and gave me a one on the hot scale. Found this gem of a find while on business trip with boss. Got him to try a hole in the wall ran by two Thai sisters. They did not disappoint. I had my fav tomyum noodle soup with chicken, and bossman tried chicken red curry. We both had Med spicy. We originally wanted med+ and owner recommended med. She was on-point....med was just right. She saved us. I highly recommend this place. I also will add ignore the complaints about delivery. Food just does travel well and if you order delivery you have be willing to make some allowances. Delicious, authentic Thai food at a reasonable price. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly and timely. The food is spicy because they use traditional spices and you can tell. I had the green curry mild and it was very good and even that had some heat. My partner had the spicy curry noodle soup medium as he had a higher spice tolerance and said it was perfect!
