I found this place specifically thru Yelp because it was featured on the "Top 100 Sandwiches" list, so I stopped by with a few friends during my visit to Denver. I must say... it deserves it's recognition. The Banh Mi here is excellent! I got to try the LEMONGRASS GRILLED PORK. The pork is well marinated with a slightly sweet taste. There is a good amount of meat inside. It typically comes with cilantro & jalapeños inside which you can always opt out. But I feel like the sauces & veggies inside paired so well together. The bread is super crunchy that you will be in a bread crumb mess afterwards. But, it's all worth it because it tastes great. My friends all loved it here. For a traditional Banh Mi experience, I would totally recommend this spot. Ordering is super easy. There is a machine in which you can order & pay through there or go straight up to the counter. The food will be ready fairly quick so you can be in & out within a few minutes. And there is a parking out front. So, there is no reason not to try this place. read more

I wish it had a few more jalapeño, but I bet it's a local preference thing, and I'm sure if I asked, they would have added. Also, I'm kind of a pig when I am away from home (hence my search for something light), and I'm always concerned a sandwich doesn't fill me up, but I am stuffed. Way more satisfying than a Subway sandwich, although comparing the two is somewhat insulting to this banh mi. When you take a bite you still get a light crunch from the crust of the bread. This texture adds to the sandwich's flavorful, grilled pork. I especially liked the light crunchy flavor of the pickled radish which is generously sprinkled on top. I couldn't eat the entire sandwich in one sitting but it was gone before the end of the day! Found it! Best Banh Mi sandwich in Denver proper. Banh Mi station comes highly recommended and has been atop many "Best" lists including here at Yelp. The Banh Mi Sandwich is perfectly crafted. Delicious French bread, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The lemon grass chicken was perfectly seasoned and placed alongside the crisp veggies- cucumber, carrots, jalapeños, cilantro, and radishes. Each sandwich comes with a mayo spread as well. Banh Mi Station sits close to the DU campus. Inside, there are a few tables and cafe-like chairs. You can order from a person or order on the automated machine. Service was great and our food came out in record time. They have more to offer than just sandwiches as well. Rice and noodle bowls are also in the menu. Overall: Solid bahn MI and reasonably priced. Bahn mi: Neatly assembled. Bread is flaky on the outside and pillow soft on the inside. Spread is evenly and neatly coated in the inside. Shrimp (10 pieces, but you can pay more for extra) is cooked perfectly and thinly coated with sauce. Same with the lemongrass beef except the lemongrass was infused into the beef. Good proportion of pickle, cilantro, cucumber fillings, and meat. Vermicelli bowl: It's okay. One time I ordered this when they ran out of bahn mi. I prefer bun bowls with bean sprouts, basil, and/or cilantro. The protein is good though. Then again, this is a bahn mi place, not a bun place. Combo items: Thai tea was not too sweet where you an taste the tea. Same with the Vietnamese coffee - not too sweet with strong coffee. Egg roll was delicately flaky and flavored well. Heard many great things about Banh Mi Station, so I had to give it a try. I went a non-traditional way and ordered a vermicelli house special combo so I could try several of the meats. It was a generous portion of noodles, vegetables, & meat. I thought I would save some for later, but ended up eating the entire meat & vegetable portion. The pork was my favorite hands down. I didn't really like the egg roll that came with it. The wrapper around it was too thick and undercooked. Service was friendly and fast. I was borderline 4-5 stars so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. It was a tasty Bahn Mi, not the best I've ever had but in fairness I've had hundreds from around the US, Canada and Europe. It was in the top 10 for sure. Bread incredibly flacky with a slight crunch, good veggies and flavorfull pork was marinated nicely. It was one of the best French breads on Bahn Mi for sure. Why I rounded up was the Vietnamese coffee. Top 3 I've ever had and the best I've found in Colorado for sure. A tad pricey for just a Bahn mi but everything is higher in the past year or two. (I miss the days of buying 5 for $20 and getting the sixth free... just me?) Service was quick and easy. Honestly...we loved Bahn Mi Station!! Our go-to spot for Bahn Mi is Vinh Xuong Bakery in Denver, but I have to say that Bahn Mi Stations gives them a run for their money! We opted for the lemongrass grilled pork Bahn mi and it was amazing! The lemongrass flavor in the pork really came through, as did the slight char from grilling. The bread was delicious & crazy flakey on the outside as it should be. This is one thing that Vihn Xuong is so good at, and Bahn mi station should be as well. We also go an order of their shrimp rice paper spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, which was delicious, but the sandwich was easily the standout! The large sandwich was only $10 which is kind of unheard of these days. I love the fried chicken banh mi here! The bread and chicken are both nice and crispy and the sandwich is light and filling all at once. It also heats up well the next day in the air fryer....I'm not lying when I say I dream about this sandwich haha. I wanted something refreshing and savory and found a few items that I thought would satisfy my needs: shrimp spring roll (2 pieces) and jasmine honey tea (iced). The items on the menu appear to be priced just right. Very simple interior inside. Nothing fancy but I saw some decors that are/were indicative of some Asian culture here and there. Let me rate the items I got: -The jasmine honey tea (iced): amazing and refreshing. Perfect amount of honey was in it. Not too sweet, not too subtle. Perfect cold beverage on a hot summer day (I would say.) A lice of lemon and a mint leaf were the magic elements to enhance the flavor/taste. -Shrimp spring roll: Good portion! Everything wrapped inside the skin/wrapper was fresh and light. The accompanying peanut sauce was somewhat chunky with visible peanut pieces. Very authentic indeed. This place does a good job offering quality Vietnamese food for sure. Our son is a DU student and we are visiting from Dallas. He said this place had the best sandwiches. Boy was he right. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was a symphony of flavors that mingled perfectly. It activated parts of my palate in different and unexpected ways. We stopped in for a late lunch and got a lemongrass grilled chicken banh mi and a lemongrass pork banh mi. For only $3 more, you can make it a combo and add a beverage (Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee), and two cream cheese wontons...what a deal! We upgraded one sandwich to a combo and got the Thai tea (requested less sweet). Both sandwiches were great and the combination of flavors was spot-on. While we both enjoyed both proteins, we agreed that the pork had an edge over the chicken, as it had more flavor and was nice and tender. The sandwiches here so delicious! You can actually taste the lemongrass on the meat. They had all the right vegetables. Their ice coffee is a hit or miss. When I first had it, the coffee was strong. The second time around, they added too much milk. I usually call ahead and order for pick up at 1pm. I ended up getting there 5-10mins earlier and they were still making the sandwiches. First time trying to Vietnamese sandwich and I was not disappointed! This is a quaint, little spot in a large strip mall that is very authentic and packed at all times of the day. I heard a lot of positive buzz about Banh Mi Station for a while, so it was about time I try them out. Honestly, if I had no reference point for a banh mi, I might have given this a 5 star rating. The sandwiches are very tasty with fresh ingredients and nearly perfect bread (probably as good as it gets in Denver). Pickled daikon, cilantro, jalapeno; all fresh and flavorful. The bread itself is crispy on the outside and light on the inside, but lacking ever so slightly more of a chew to it. Like I said, nearly perfect against a super high bar. I tried the lemongrass grilled pork, beef, chicken, and house special cold cut. The grilled meats had very good punchy flavor from the marinade and the caramelization from the grill. The house special cold cut was nice, but the meats were out of balance with too much cha lua coming through. It wasn't unpleasant, and like I said, if I had no frame of reference, I would think it was just tasty. The mayo was excellent too. Why 4 stars and not 5? Most crucially, no pate! And the high price point doesn't help. The house special needs to lose a layer or two of cha lua and put in pate. As I'm eating the sandwich, I can't stop thinking about how much better the sandwich would be with these edits. I suppose you could get pate and put it in yourself, but that seems like a lot of work and expense on top of the already overpriced sandwich. As tasty as it is, the experience is actually marred by knowing what could be. I can see myself coming back once every blue moon or so for a grilled pork banh mi, but I will always look at the menu and be sad because of what could be and the prices. What a delightful Bahn Mi I had for lunch today. I've had my eye on trying this place for a while and it worked perfectly today to stop by. First the parking was nice given the location off S University. You'd expect it to be a nightmare but there is a small, easy to use parking lot. The staff was really friendly and super quick with getting my "to go" order ready. There was a small miscommunication from being mask muffled so I ended up with the grilled shrimp. Although I hadn't planned on eating shrimp it was delicious.
