So much better with Jen as the manager. The staff is so happy. One of the best places to hang out in Warrenton. Best part is Layla!

I had the pleasure of visiting the new location of Wild Hare Hard Cider on their first day - the new location is in Old Town Warrenton. I've visited the original location of Wild Hare (Bluemont, VA) .before they changed ownership and moved to Leesburg, VA. The inside of the Warrenton location is cozy. There is outdoor seating out back in a courtyard. I did a whole tasting flight - six ciders in all. For the uninitiated - this is not the mass produced sugar bomb ciders that you find in the grocery store. Instead, these are crisp, dry, tart ciders. You can taste the apples - not a load of sugar. Well crafted and delightful ciders! They accept Apple Pay for payment. Welcome to Warrenton - Wild Hare! #WildHareHardCider

THIS PLACE IS SO EXCELLENT! They had about half a dozen ciders on hand and I sampled all of them. The best being the Mango-Jalapeno by far... which is a shame because it is a small batch... but 2nd place goes to Coba, the pineapple coconut cider. I don't usually care for sweeter drinks, which this was, but I enjoyed it and ended up buying it as a 4 pack of cans (might make a good mimosa?) They have upstairs seating as well as outdoors if the weather is nice. I would absolutely return. We had a great time.

Such an open yet cozy place. Never too loud and comfortable every time we visit. Friendly service for both humans and dogs. Hope they'll have more food selection in the future!

We stopped in for drinks on a busy Saturday... the staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to taste a couple of ciders before selecting out flight. Their ciders are really good, definitely want to return and try more! The place is cool and fun too.

What a lovely, lively Atmosphere! The Space -clean and refurbished, lots of hardwood. They even had what looked like a Kitchen and shower in the bathroom--you can tell this was recently someone's home that was converted into a business. In my mind, that makes it extra cool. Lovely Biergarten and outdoor bar out back, so we can't wait to visit during the warmer weather! The upstairs was a chill enough place to bring our toddler. Ciders were a little out there, flavor wise, but I really went for it when I picked them. They were out of the Coba on draft but we picked some up to have later and it was DELICIOUS. I didn't realize that the apples were local to the area but duh, so that's also cool.

Located in historic downtown Warrenton, Wild Hare is a cute little cider pub that is just as awesome as their Leesberg location. Parking could potentially be a problem during the day when all of the shops are open. The bar area itself is a little small, but luckily there is a very pretty outdoor garden seating area. Today I tried the raspberry mimosa and a pretzel. The mimosa was delicious, the pretzel was good too. I was a little disappointed because they ran out of the cheese to accompany it. The gentleman (dunno if he was the owner or an employee) seemed very frazzled. They could definitely use another bar outside or another set of hands running food. Being busy is a good problem to have. Definitely a cute spot that I plan on returning to.

Stunning backyard in a adorable downtown quiet American setting spells only a perfect afternoon of Summer sips and drinks. Small craft cidery is putting out some big bold and amazing flavors. You should start with a flight of all six of their ciders on tap.they are able to give most of these in to-go containers, along with some canned stuff in the refrigerator. quickly find a spot out back with your socially distant pod, and start to sipping. The backyard is beautifully tree-lined looking into the two-story building with a small alleyway leading back out to the street. The trees give just the right amount of shade and light to cast star like shadows from the leaves upon the ground. The cider is delicious, complex, tasty, bright, and the perfect amount of fruit and sugar to make them extremely drinkable. With flavors like mango, apple cinnamon, and caramel, the Crafters are definitely playing with the many ways in which apples pair deliciously with other fruit flavors. Right now one of my go to hit cideries, this is the perfect summer location after a day of hiking in and near Front Royal or it's Shenandoah. A must visit, a must drink, by all of their ciders and bring them home to enjoy within the next week.

First time at Cider Lab…read more It was a warm Saturday afternoon. As I entered - I noted it was rather warm inside. To warm. I made a comment about it to the lady who was taking my order. She acknowledged it was warm - but that was about it. It was nicer outside temp wise - but at this time of the year - the pollen levels are now in the high range - I did not want to sit outside and inhale more pollen. And it's to warm inside. I ordered a tasting flight of 5 ciders. They ciders are served in cool looking test tubes - from a "Lab," - hence the name of the place. My cider flight included (with associated Untappd rankings): Green Apple (4 stars) Blueberry Peach Jerk'm (4 stars) Elderberry Cider (4 stars) Passionate Perry (2.75 stars) Blackberry Jerk'm (1.75 stars) I really enjoyed the first three in the list - the Passionate Perry just did not resonate with my taste buds - and the Blackberry Jerk'm was bordering on a cough syrup taste. I did not drink all of my tasting flight - as it was to warm inside for me - so I really could not enjoy them the way I wanted to. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. Hope to come back some day when the AC is working! #CiderLab

The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

I am not a fan of the Meade or cider, but my wife was so we drove the gravel road to the Old Hill Hard Cider brewery and orchard, and the view was spectacular. High up on a hill looking down over the valley. As for the service, she was incredibly accommodating. We ordered a flight of ciders and chatted with her about the dry versus the sweet. In the end my wife found a wonderful option, the Virginia blackberry cider. She said it was her favorite. I had a Virginia tannin which I found matched a white Sauvignon blanc in some flavor, and was good for sipping in the shade on top the hill. Later we walked through the market, grabbed a 1/2 gallon of cider and pet the area dog before we headed out. I wish it was closer, but it deserved a 5 star for the cider.

What stuck out was a very crisp taste of the cider with very little to no sugary additions. The smell was like fresh apples and the blend of apples used was very unique to Va and not common around Pennsylvania. Highly recommend stopping here especially in the warmer nights of the summer. Very good cider, great outdoor atmosphere, right next to downtown, and extremely reasonably priced.
