New location, updated review! Still the great customer service they've always had. A great dine-in or take-out location now. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, or you can order to-go. They also have coffee, pastries, and other drinks (soda, water, etc.). Parking is available on the street or in one of the many municipal lots in town, so don't be discouraged by their old town location. Even from a municipal lot, it's a short walk to their shop. They're open during the day now, but are about to start evenings Thurs-Sat with mocktails and melt sandwiches! read more

Cute little place I stumbled upon in historic Warrenton. Love the vibe of the space. Bagels are chewy and flavorful like I like 'em. The sausage used on the sandwiches is not my favorite, but that is ok. Pricing is reasonable for location. I give this place 4 stars because the food IS good. What is off putting for me is the social media presence. I followed their page to keep track of upcoming events/new products and after a few weeks I had to unfollow... Daily AI-written ramblings about customers not showing up, addressing negative reviews, etc... Whoever is behind the account has asked for input, but will counter most of the suggestions. We were passing through Warrenton from SC to CT and found this cute bagel cafe. In the historic downtown section near the city courthouse, this place serves up excellent bagels and very good coffee. I had a toasted garlic bagel with chive cream cheese and my husband had the sesame with lox, tomatoes onions and capers. We both enjoyed them immensely and if we're ever back in the area will surely return! Also, a nice side courtyard seating area for a sunny day with your pup. read more

When I say these are the best bagels I've ever had in my whole life..... and I've had some good bagels. I ordered the "Rosie" bagel (rosemary sea salt) with black pepper and thyme cream cheese and omg it was like eating the best, tastiest thanksgiving stuffing. The bagel was thick but somehow still the perfect texture (just chewy enough). The flavor was out of this WORLD. The cream cheese - man do they give you a huge schmear and it is perfect. Creamy, flavorful, balances well. I live in western PWC and would happily drive out 30 minutes to old town Warrenton just to get a bagel and go back home. Came here for the first time on Saturday, July 27, 2024. There was a long line all the way to the door and when I got up front to place my order there were barely any bagels left and this was at 11 AM. I got my order in and then had to wait around 15 to 20 minutes in which the manager came out and announced that there were no more bagels left. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese for myself and garlic bagel with cream cheese for my husband. They were basically burnt bagels are not supposed to be this dark. I won't cancel them out yet. Stopped in one morning for some bagel breakfast sammiches. They have a number of options - I wanted to try a couple - so I ordered two different sammies - which I shared with a friend: Bagel Breakfast Sandwich #1: Sesame Seed Bagel with Chorizo, Egg, & Cheese, add extra cheese Bagel Breakfast Sandwich #2: Sesame Seed Bagel with Bacon, Egg, & Cheese, ad extra bacon and cheese. I also ordered a cold brew with Half n' Half. The place is tiny, so as soon as I completed placing my order, I went and stood outside to wait. There were several folks in line behind me - and there just isn't any room inside to wait. After a few minutes, one of the employees popped outside to deliver my order to me - but she forgot the cold brew - so I had to go back inside and remind them about my beverage. It was served up to me fairly promptly at that point. I would have preferred a Jalapeño-Cheddar Bagel - but they were all out. Overall, the cold brew was a good, solid cold brew. The Chorizo on the first breakfast sammie was under seasoned for my palate. My friend agreed. The bacon, egg, and cheese was pretty good! Paid with Apple Pay. My husband found the place online after a fasting blood draw visit. We were both very hungry and the Weird Dough did NOT disappoint! They boasted New York Style bagels, and I was ready for criticism, having grown up on the East Coast. I have only praise! It truly is a bit of New York bagel. It has the beautiful chew you want as well as a crispy outer shell when toasted. We bought some to take home as well as a bacon cheddar and egg sandwich. It was very tasty. Their bacon was salty and savory. The egg is generic and could use more seasoning, but it was really about the bagel, and we were extremely pleased that we have a go-to breakfast stop in Warrenton now. They have freshly baked as well as a few day old bagels for a lower price. I love that they tell you exactly how old the bagel is. They have bagel chips too, and these little protein bites that are handmade each morning. I tried the blueberry protein bite and it was very satisfying and filling. I can't wait to try the peanut butter one tomorrow. I have not tried the coffee, but if it is half as good as the bagels then it will be amazing. read more

This is a newly opened place located here. This was my first time visiting here to purchase a dozen bagels, because I heard so many good things from my local family regarding their bagels. For everything bagels, would recommend more everything seasoning sticking onto the bagel. For bagels generally, would recommend more airy, thicker bagels. For the bagel sandwiches, would recommend striving for more consistency, i.e. toasting of the bagel (when asking for bagel toasted, I'm expecting a golden brown. Schmears should consistently be thick for the price, and custom add ons (like bacon) should be generous for the price. Items I've ordered a few times have had missing add ons and inconsistent toasting, which was disappointing. Maybe ingredient testing/measuring/quality control could help. We were there for their second day of business. The line was long but moved. We got there after 11 - by the time we got to the counter they were out of a lot of things. But the bagel I got was quite tasty. I got the chai latte but it was a little sweet. I got it with ice and after all the ice melted, it was perfect. They were planning on remodeling the place but I'm not sure it will seat more than it does now because it was pretty tiny but there was outside seating in a near courtyard. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The ladies room was out of order but I'm sure that'll be fixed during the renovation. I am looking forward to checking it out again! read more

Only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the quality of the bagel is good. Pretty disappointed with this place though because of the price and what you get for it. UPDATE: The owner, Danielle, reached out to me immediately after the review to give me a refund and to offer me two free sandwiches to give them another chance. I appreciated her doing that and I could tell that she was not happy with the quality we received. I added a star as a result and will update again once we're able to get back over there. First time in here and it was a pretty neat looking place with seating inside and outside. There were a few people in line but it moved pretty quickly. It's a little tight trying to order then move around all the people in line to wait for your stuff. We ordered a coffee, tea, egg, bacon and cheese everything bagel and a bowl with egg whites, cheddar and tomatoes. Total came out to $29 which was a little pricey in my opinion but not the end of the world. We sat down and the drinks came out pretty quick and food was out in about 5 minutes or so. Everything up to this point was good except they didn't bring us a fork for the bowl. The lady said she would get us one after she dealt with cleaning up some spilt coffee. It wasn't a big deal as we understood. Well about 5 minutes went by and she came back over and asked if we still needed a fork to which we replied yes. She went to the back and came out two more times bringing people their food and still no fork. I went over to the door and caught her and said we still needed a fork and she said ok and then left. I stood there for a couple of minutes when another lady came out with food for another table. On her way in I asked if we could please get a fork. After a few minutes we finally got a fork. In all it was about 15 minutes after we got our food when we could finally start eating it. The sandwich and the bowl had cooled down and may have tasted better had we been able to eat them when they came out. Overall I was not thrilled with our experience but I'm willing to give them another try. Update: I have updated my review after the owner reached out and offered to refund our meal. I declined because we did eat our food, but I appreciate her quick response and willingness to make things right. For that we will go back and give them another try. read more

This was my second time visiting the new location. The first time was just after their grand opening so I could excuse to slow service due to the sheer volume of patrons. But this second time, I don't have much sympathy. I placed an online order at 10:45 am with an estimated pick up time of 11:10 am. I showed a few early, the associate at the counter told me it would be ready shortly and they would call my name. Fast forward 25 minutes later and my name still had not been called. At the time of me checking in, there was 1 party in front of me. More people had come in after me and received their order. I finally asked one of the associates delivering the food to check on my order. She comes out not even 2 minutes later with my bag. Who knows how long it had been ready. With a slight attitude, she handed me the bag and said "pick up orders are picked up at the front". If you have been to this location you would know the area where you order is tiny. If everyone who had ordered online waited there, that would be an egress issue. When I finally got home, we realized one of our bagel sandwiches was wrong. Unless you have 30+ minutes to spare to wait for food, I would skip this. Disappointed and annoyed. read more

Well, I'm a New Yorker by birth and rearing. These are not New York bagels. I found my plain egg order to be more like a hamburger bun. I had asked for it to be toasted. It arrived warmish, not toasted (good grief, was it actually microwaved!?!) 10 or 15 minutes later, sliced in half the wrong way and wrapped up in some kind of convoluted paper jacket, with nearly a cup of cream cheese on the side when I'd asked for a schmear. No knife. Coffee was available only in a cardboard cup and was not at all tasty. I took a bite and a sip, then left -- so disappointed after hearing rave reviews about them at this and their original location for quite a long time. read more

Ordered lox on garlic bagel to go. More tables seem to have been added since a wall holding merchandise from last owner was removed but the prep area is the same size. The wait wasn't long but I did check my phone a few times. So it was that odd timing, not long/not quick. The reason for mentioning the wall removal and adding tables is the prep area needs to be longer so more than one order can be done at a time. If it is, it didn't seem that way. Seems louder also without the wall to absorb noise. This is my second bagel, the first from the ghost kitchen outside of town. Wanted to see if the taste improved. It has not. The garlic was in name only. The bagel is so chewy. The crust and the interior are so opposite of one another, just why? The lox was low quality, actually all ingredients were lacking in taste. If these are delivered by a food company, reconsider that account. The paper was wrapped incorrectly. There is a reason one side is foil and the other side paper. All of this is a ramble bc for Warrenton, this is a top tier experience. Just look at all the glowing reviews, then there is this one. So judge from your own palate. If chili oil is too spicy for you, go here. If you make your own lox, maybe just eat at home. read more
