Just moved to Prescott a few weeks back and have already made this my "home" coffee spot! It's nestled away behind a few boutiques. Plenty of tables and a few couches, and always cozy. They have specialty macadamia milk that is a must try. The staff is very patient when you tell them you like to try new things, and they help you down that path. This is one of my go-to coffee places when I am in town. It is very spacious, indoors and out. Their treats are amazing. I walk in wanting to get a coffee, and walk out with a coffee + a cronut or a scone, or a delicious chocolate and peanut butter bar. So good. I can only remember one problem here, when I ordered an iced chai latte, and the girl got confused and gave it to me hot and then dumped it over ice when I said I wanted it iced...not cool. I absolutely love this place. The food is fresh and delicious. The coffees and teas are great. The ambiance is very nice and comfy. My Mom is gone now, but she loved stopping here for some tea and a baked treat and I loved sitting with her and enjoying a coffee and something decadent from their baked goods. The place is always clean and comfortable and the employees are always courteous and friendly and so very helpful when you have questions. It's a wonderful little gem of a place. I really enjoyed my time here at this coffee shop. There's a lot of cool architectural wood nuances inside that make the place feel really cozy and welcoming. I am from out of town but was visiting some friends who live in Prescott. They recommended Wild Iris for coffee my 1st morning in town so I met them there. It is tucked away in the back of a very cool patio along with a few other small business, but the cool sign street side lets you know you've arrived at the right place. The coffee is very good along with the Frittata's, bagels, and muffins. The staff are very friendly and helpful, giving recommendations to the "new guy". This is the COVID Season so seating inside is restricted but the small tables & chairs outside spaced enough apart. On my way out of town I stopped by again and picked up a pound of their medium and dark roast coffee for home. I am loving it. When I return to visit my friends again I will make it a point to go to Wild Iris as often as needed for my caffeine & bread product cravings. read more

Such a cute coffee shop that is a little hidden in the back of their plaza. Once you come around to the back though you'll see they larger outdoor patio that is pet friendly and has string lighting, so in the evening you get some lovely lighting. I tried the Mexican latte with almond milk and it did not disappoint. I love the kick with cayenne pepper. I was worried it would be too much, but the barista got in on point and it was just perfect. My niece got the hot chocolate and my husband got a caramel latte, which they both enjoyed. We did try the honey almond croissant that was to die for! We ordered 1 to share, but realized we each should have ordered our own since I just wanted more! Highly recommend this local coffee shop! read more

I was there with my wife this morning and I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed strange catty behavior from the girl behind the register. We found this place and were in love with the interior. It's a really cozy sociable place...until you reach the register. My wife orders tea and the girl just ignores her and has some kind of thousand yard stare. Like she's looking beyond into a great abyss of nothingness even though two physical people were in front of her. An awkward silence passes so she repeats her order and the register girl mumbles out something we can barely hear. I'm starting to think we're getting nowhere so I just repeat her order for her and ordered my coffee to which she responded swiftly, attentively like most interactions behind the counter. Then my wife orders a croissant and there it was again, the thousand yard stare. To make matters worse, we wait and wait until I ask what's up with the order to the barista guy who seemed really friendly. Turns out he has no idea what we ordered as if the girl behind the register never took it. We were confused by the whole thing but went about life as usual until we were mulling over our day together and remembered the strange encounter from this morning. "Remember the register girl? What was that all about?" So, out of curiosity, we check out the yelp reviews. To our surprise, a review from 15 hours ago had the same exact experience but even worse because she goes this cafe often and deals with this every time it seems. It's frustrating because the coffee was very good and the environment beyond the register was warm and welcoming. It's just plain disappointing when one bad apple ruins the entire experience. read more

I was knackered from a long day of drive-by sight-seeing, and took to Yelp! to find me some much needed caffeine - my trust paid-off and led me to this delightful, friendly coffee shop that served-up the best coffee I've had since I've been in the U.S (3 months). There's lots of choice for both hot and cold drinks, and also pastries and other treats, I'm just gutted I don't live in Prescott to go more often! Whenever we are in Prescott we always come here, far better than Starbucks and we love to support local. The macadamia nut milk is awesome! We also really like the GF brownie and some of the other GF treats. My husband really enjoys the coffee here. Fun atmosphere, good place to take a date, catch up with friends, or go if you want some study/book time. My only complaint, I do feel like it's a little on the costly side. read more

Not impressed at all. I ordered a drip coffee, and was given a room temperature cup of coffee which was not even close to being hot or fresh. The prices are not cheap, so why would you serve coffee that is not hot? When I took my coffee back up to the counter, one of the girls was nice about it and said she would give me fresh coffee. The other girl just looked at me like I was super unreasonable for complaining about room temperature coffee. I most likely will not come back. read more

This place must have stuck with me because my subconscious lead me back here on a second trip to Prescott. Last time I got a lavender infused honey in my coffee. That didn't seem to be available this time so I went with a maple syrup chai. Very delicious, though darn sweet. I'd either get a smaller size or a less sweet drink next time. It was a tad sweet for me, but I'm crazy for anything lavender, so it didn't really matter. I've only been here twice, but my husband who travels to Prescott frequently for work stops by here every time he's in town. Love the Wild Iris. The staff are very down to earth and always quick and professional making orders. They make me feel like family every time I am in there. Anytime a mistake has been made with my order (which has almost always been my fault and is rare), they have made me the proper beverage free of charge. The sweets are a little pricey but delicious, and the space itself is wonderful for studying or catching up with a friend. Definitely a good date spot too. In my opinion, folks who have issues with the Iris do so because they seem to make unreasonable demands (wanting the staff to read their mind or wanting their orders made instantaneously). Not always perfect, but always well intentioned! This is a really pretty location by the creek that runs through town. The inside is cozy with lots of plants and comfy antique chairs. There are always lots of treats in the case, and many of them are vegan and/or Gluten free. Don't come in if you're in a hurry, though, because getting coffee is a slow process and even if you order the same thing every time, it likely won't taste the same. read more

Second time I've been here. First time was an easy 5. This time, an easy 1. So I'm leaving a 3, and we will see what happens when I go back. Guy couldn't be bothered to help me out. I was patient for maybe 3 minutes before he sauntered over without a greeting. I ordered a 12oz. Hot coffee at 900am (which was Luke warm at best) and left maybe 2 inches of room. I asked him if maybe he could top me off since I wasnt taking cream. With an audible sigh he gave me barely a splash more. I didn't bother anymore. This guy was rude, or having a bad bad day and I hope he is alright, but MAN. WAY different than the splendid experience I had a few weeks ago. Be consistent! This place is beautiful. read more

This was our first visit. The pastries were really yummy. Latte and smoothie were just okay. However we received the worst service from the barista. She was short with everyone she came into contact with. Their self serve water dispenser was empty. I let the cashier know when I ordered. And 10 minutes later asked the barista if I could have a water for my daughter, she said I would have to wait because she had too many drinks to complete. There are so many other cafes in Prescott to visit that give good service. And we will go to one of those in the future. read more

Stopped in on my drive back to Phoenix from Flagstaff. Parking was easy. Barista was helpful to select my beverage. I chose the Mexican chocolate latte. The coffee was smooth with a kick of cayenne pepper. since the latte was not sweet (I take my coffee without sugar as well) it paired perfectly with the tall blueberry crumb cake. Pastry selection was superb. Seating was a challenge as both indoor and outdoor were taken on a weekday late morning, however I was able to luck out on a bench seat with a small table on the patio.
