Visited from afar. Mixed feelings overall but the bad far outweighs the good. Ordered a large Spirit of America, well done because the pictures on Yelp varies so much with many looking grossly undercooked. It was the right choice. It was near perfect but $38? In Cave Junction? WTF? The 'fish and chips', 2 orders of them. They were repulsive. Fish was dark, smelled like fish, tasted like bad oil and bad fish. Fries were just as bad, soggy oil. Don't buy this. Go down the road a bit to the sausage place. The staff? The ones i met should not have a job there. RUDE. Rude to my dad who tried to order all this over the phone, and rude to me who picked it up. Perfectly Nice to the local regular people there that they appeared to know but that won't sustain any customer base. Hi I am a returning customer to this pizzeria (which I do say they are the best in town). I also enjoy everyone that works there, well except one lady. The older gal with the pony tail and mouth guard. She has made my experience more uncomfortable than any pizzeria I've ever visited ever. The pizza was absolutely delicious. We got a large pepperoni jalapeño and 3 drinks which came out to about $35 which is very pricey but honestly worth it. Employees were nice and it did have a lot of people inside. Service was fast and the environment was nice and family friendly as well as including beers and such. If we're ever in the area we'll definitely stop here again. Recommend it to pizza lovers. read more

Stopped here on our way through town. Not many restaurants to eat at on the way from the 101 to Grants Pass in Winter. Pizza was excellent! Breadsticks were large and pretty good as was the salad bar. Prices are a bit high but you get a lot of food and considering there's not much else out here, it works. :) We had the BBQ chicken pizza and it alone gets 5 stars! Best BBQ chicken pizza we've had in 15 years! Atmosphere is comfortable and warm. Staff is friendly and although there weren't a lot of people eating in, they were constantly filling orders for walk ins and call ahead orders. read more

This place(in Cave Junction) is a sad excuse for the Wild River name. It was absolutely disgusting inside. Smelled of dirty feet and homeless people. The customer service was the poorest I've ever experienced. They don't wait on you. You have to stand in a line and order and then listen thru the crowd as your number is called. They didn't even have a beer menu. How are people suppose to know what kind of beers they want? Not only was my pizza made wrong, it wasn't even cooked in a fire stove like they do in Grants Pass. It tasted microwaved:( When we asked for ranch, we were directed to the salad bar to "fetch" our own cups of ranch. I about slapped that girl for saying that. I walked over to get ranch to see a child sticking his fingers in it and licking them. I was just so appalled! I'll never recommend that place. It doesn't even deserve one star! read more

Usually, when I see that a place has their own beers on tap, two things run through my mind: 1. Awesome!! 2. I wonder which ones are the good ones Between the two of us, we tried at least two thirds of them. These people make good beer. There was not one among them that I would not order again. They are all solid beers. We were prepared for pizza, until we saw that they had burgers. It seems bad to get burgers at a pizza place but sometimes you have to get what the tummy wants. I think they were good. We consumed them rather fast. The fries reminded me of the fries I used to get at pizza place that closed down when I was a kid. I cannot describe what memories taste like... it was a beautiful memory. If you want good memories, come here, order some food and a whole mess of any (or all) of their beer. Lots of TVs, arcade games, beautiful ceiling to get lost in, and the picnic bench seating provides an excellent opportunity to make friends with the locals. read more

I used to go to the original place when they were just a pizza place out in Cave Junction, 30 years ago. The pizza is okay, but they have really gotten good at BEER and sandwiches. At least at the Grants Pass one. They also have the original place our in Cave Junction still, and one in Brooksing, I believe. Their seafood sandwiches are good. Must be a result of having opened a Wild River out on the coast in Brookings..... To get to the Grants Pass one, take the southern exit off of Hwy. 5 for Grants Pass, and it's about a half-a-mile, past the Alberstons and WalMart and Fred Meyers to your right on "E" Street, just past where the two-way street splits into "E' and "F". They're past the coffee island and the North Valley Bank. Easy return back on to Highway 5 Or, if you continue to the west, it's easy to get back onto Highway 199 (ask your waitress) or though downtown Grants Pass and south across the bridge over Rogue River to Hwy. 199. The one in Cave Junction is at the very eastern end of town. We like their taco pizza here -- it's better than any taco pizza we've found elsewhere. read more

I grew up in CJ, and "The Pizza Deli" was always a favorite. Great pizza and ingredients from a local sausage company. My dad and his friend always got a "Bait Bucket" pizza (I think it had shrimp, anchovies, oysters, etc). I'm not kidding, you could smell that thing coming. I'll stick with the "Deli Delight," thank you very much. :) Went back for the first time in over 25 years, and was happy to see the same favorites on the menu even though the business name has changed. Also happy to see they still cut the pizza the same unique way...cross-cut diamonds instead of the traditional pie slice. Love the Deli delight pizza they make out in CJ. Cant figure out why the same pizza, by the same outfit, is no where near the same. The Deli Delight out in CJ has twice the toppings as the one in Grants Pass. Their pizza is not cheap, but it is the best and Its worth the drive from Grants Pass into Cave Junction. read more

I visit Grant's Pass several time a year to see family and friends. We have chosen this restaurant many times to meet up with our larger groups. They accommodate large groups quite efficiently! I have only ever had their pizza and salad, but what I have had, has been quite good. I love their Taco Pizza! The service as always been consistently great. read more

This place really rocks. I stopped in here with a friend and had a great pizza and a nice hand crafted micro brew that they make themselves. The dinning are is large and they have a patio on the side if you wish to eat outside. There is a corner with arcade games in it, which really gives this place an old pizza parlor feel to it. Wow did we have a treat tonight! Stopped tonight for some quick pizza and ended up with live music and wonderful food! The stromboli was AMAzing! We were a party of 8 And were served fast and loved all the pizzas. Love that they don't add too much sauce and the sauce isn't too sweet. And the toppings are on top, with the cheese underneath. They cut the pizza into little "diamonds" - most unique, and makes the pizza easier to handle. The music provided by Maurice Woodard, The One Man Band was amazing. It was a Friday night at 9:45 pm and my bf and i drove around Grants Pass looking for a place to grab a late night bite and ended up at Wild River. First of all, they're open until 11 pm on Fri and Sat nights which is awesome. As we walked in, we were promptly seated which was nice. We started out by ordering their Harbor Lights Kolsch-Style Ale and Mixed Greens for two salad. The beer was delicious and refreshing and the salad was huge and yummy, definitely big enough for 3 or even 4 people to share and even came with "right out of the oven" warm bread! nom nom nom. Then we ordered a large Wild Side pizza which was wow, amazing! I love how they cut their pizza into slices. It for some weird reason made the pizza more enjoyable and fun to eat. And for you ranch lovers, they even bring out ranch dressing for you to dip your pizza in without you having to ask them. All in all, i loved this place and will return in the near future. read more

Pretty good local chain. I believe this was their original location. The beer was the main draw for my friend and me; we shared a pizza while we enjoyed a pitcher of the kölsch. The beer was very good. The pizza was ok. We ordered a pie with "primavera" vegetables, including mushrooms, onions and almonds. It was cut in the strangest manner I've seen, on many diagonals to form diamond-shaped slices. We were in the midst of a camping and hiking trip, and were the only people in the restaurant that particular Sunday afternoon who had not come directly from church with family in tow. read more

I called for a reservation and had to see it back an hour because they told me they'd be too rushed to take my party. When we showed up to the reservation the girl at the front counter was trying to refuse our reservation saying she had not heard of it while we all saw the note next to her saying reservation for 10 at 6:30. They had not set up a table for our party and asked us to find our own seating while there was none available. The girl at the front counter was too busy flirting with her previous guest to help us. Once we finally found our own table and had to split our party between various tables we had to set our own tables and get our own waters. All of this was while the server was bringing extras to the table next to us. Very disappointed in our service not to mention the long wait and lack of attention by any staff. read more

We stopped by during a stay outside Cave Junction. The pizza was above par, and on our all meat pizza the toppings were tasty and good quality. The ambiance was family friendly, but a bit loud with the TV, radio, live music and natural buzz of people talking all at once. The good thing is no one seemed to mind (or notice) our kids running around from the table and arcade area. The seating is long family style tables, and you order at the register. The beer was also tasty, not the best I've had, but very worthwhile to go with the pizza. If we are ever in CJ again, we will stop and eat and try more of the beer. read more

Was down around Cave Junction camping with my daughter and decided one night to do pizza..it helped that i was cravng a micro-brew..so i knew of this place. WE went in round 3 PM.between lunch and dinner ..there were perhaps a dozen folks around this large establishment. The decor is kind old style dark Oregon..with the ceiling painted as the sky..weird but not a deal breaker. The young fellow at the ordering counter was very good and talked up the beers well. I was impressed by him, but they really need a chalk board with all the offerings. They have perhaps 10 of their own beers but you wouldnt know it until you are right up at the ordering counter. I had a IPA which was actually very good. Pizza was a bit on the spendy side but our pepperoni was delicious..the cheese in particular was just yummy. Like the odd diamond grid way they sliced it too. All in all good pizza and descent beer..hard to go wrong in my books. read more

On a road trip and stopped off for pizza and craft beers. It was the best pizza and beer we've had in a long time. It's a must stop.

We stopped here out of necessity as the only place to eat on a Monday night passing through cave junction. Soup was ok but pizza was pretty terrible. We only ordered a medium for the three of us and ended up throwing out about a third of it. Place was full up though so it's popular with locals I guess. We definitely were disappointed. Have also eaten at the Brookings location and it was only slightly better. read more

Some of the best pizza on the west coast, when we come up to visit Grants Pass, this is usually where we go. The taco pizza is a knockout - by far the best implementation I've ever seen. The signature cross-cutting makes it easy to grab that one last slice without feeling too greedy. The beer is also worth mentioning, as are the fries and onion rings.
