THE WATER PARK- 5 Stars-This a is great water park for kids of all ages. It is very clean! Most employees are teenagers, but they are really helpful and polite-good employees always enhance the experience for visitors. I had 6 teenagers with me and we came on an 88 degrees day. The ground is hot at during peak day. So water shoes are recommended. We arrived 15 minutes prior to the park opening and found parking to be an easy. Get your parking pass online, it will help speed up the line to get in to park. We brought in refillable water bottles with ice and water and got in without any issue. But bags were checked at entrance. Since we were the first few to get in, finding a shady spot was no issue, but I do see that later arrivals will not be as lucky. It was our first time at the park and our spot happened to be at COOK's COVE. It was perfect because the bathrooms are nearby. There are also two ice machines and water filling stations too! So that was awesome! FOOD-2.5 STARS Food is very limited. There was one main/big venue that is a grab and go, The Pacific Grille. It has fruit, salad, burgers, chicken tenders, pizzas, and drinks. Food is pricey. Pizza was terrible! Chicken tenders were acceptable according to the kids. When you walk up to The Pacific Grille, you will see a very long line. I stood in it for over 30 mins in hot sun. Then when we got inside, we were told that you don't have to get in line at all unless you are waiting for chicken tenders. Burgers and salad were to the left (if you are looking at the venue) and pizzas and tenders are on the right side. They have cheese pizzas and pepperoni pizzas under heat lamp ready to grab and go. Same as burgers. But there was NO SIGNS at all outside directing people to go.This definitely needs improvement. Another part where they need signage is where the pizzas are placed. There are no labels or sign of which is cheese and which is pepperoni, so people would open all the boxes to check, causing more slow down. I really enjoy having a water park in Orange County, but after two summers, Wild Rivers hasn't really figured out their operations yet. The staff doesn't know how to help customers and suggests you try emailing your concerns. The wrist band passes never worked this summer, despite repeated attempts to fix them. Of all the donut shops I have been to im my life and I have tried an extensive amount, Paris's donuts are top quality. The cream filled donuts takes so smooth and not to sugary. The dough is fluffy and fulfilling. I am on a low carb diet, but when I get to have my cheat day I don't hesitate with their store. The Service is excellent, have not met any rude or lazy workers. They give off a positive vibe and they are very friendly. I am not into reviewing restaurants or stores but once in awhile I have to say something that is worth noting and sharing. We came here for my son's birthday. Overall the day was great! We parked right as it opened and we barely found seats in the far corner where the pirates section was. I would recommend parking 15/30 mins even before the e park opens so you could get good seats. Also, but your tickets and parking online (it's cheaper so you save money and time). We went on a Saturday so of course it was packed, but everyone (for the most part besides a couple ppl) were nice. The staff was nice as well! read more

Attended a birthday party here! Terrible terrible experience. Parking is $25, should be included in admission price which can range between $50-$69. A cabana was reserved and was filled with flies. The staff is extremely rude and unaccommodating. One staff member told my friend, "she should have listened" when she inquired about where to store her cupcakes for her son's birthday party. Amazing place to take friends and family. The rides were very easy to access as well as the tubes for the lazy river and the tubes for the tidal wave pool. The rides were amazing and the lines did not take that long even for a Saturday! My debit card got stolen so the security could have been a bit better. And I did notice was that the bathrooms could be cleaner and some of the servers could be a bit nicer in letting us know how long our food is going to take. The cabana that we rented was okay.....$400 for basically a hut with 2 chairs and a safe for your valuables but other than that we had to grab chairs from the general area which was disappointing. Our family went for a first time visit on July 9, 2023 and maybe we got lucky cos we arrived at around 11 am and there were still seats available under the shade. I had read previous reviews about how busy the dining area gets so we had our cold drinks and packed food in coolers in the car just in case, but we decided to check the food area out anyway before heading to the car for a bite. It was not crowded at the food hall at all and it took about just 3 minutes to spot an open table - this was during peak lunch hour. I would say that the food is over priced, especially the drinks. It hurt to pay so much for a slice of pizza. One could argue that high food prices are to be expected at a theme park, but hey, maybe that doesn't have to be the case. The water was chilly but my daughter got used to the temp after a while. Good thing it was a very hot sunny day, so the chilly water was a nice reprieve. If it were cloudy, we would probably be miserable. The lines were long but moved fast. People In general were polite and courteous. The crowd was decent. The staff were nice too. The park in general is very clean. Altho my only other comparison in cleanliness is Soak City and I vowed never to return there ever again. Overall, it was a very pleasant and FUN day at Wild Rivers. As someone who grew up going to the OG Wild Rivers, I guess I just expected more. We went today, a Sunday, so I already assumed it was gonna be crazy busy, which I wasn't excited about, but willing to check it out anyway. We got there at 10:15, right after it opened and it was half full already. We literally couldnt NOT find a chair to put our towels down for a while. That was disappointing. Not enough chairs OR shade. The park had so much open space and potential to have more shade and chairs, and it was just tons of wide open walkways. The park was beautiful, and they just had their 1 year anniversary the other day. It felt just a little small for the ticket price, I would say. It would feel more appropriate to pay $39, not over $50, when everything there is still pretty limited. I am hoping they expand soon and fix a lot of things. AND prices for anything in the park are HIGH.... We were lucky to get a locker. But it was like $23?!?!? Daaaaaaaaaaaamn! I'm sure there weren't enough lockers for people getting there after 10:30. They really need WAY more tubes to float in the lazy river. The ratio of tubes for people was nuts. Only 20% of the people in there had tubes. What is that about?!? You're brand new with a high ticket price. You should provide enough tubes for people, damn. Something really upsetting was the food situation. They actually had a lot of choices to eat (my southwest salad was really good!), but I swear, the hoard of people in there just waiting in a giant line for food and then just standing there and not moving gave me an actual panic attack. Nobody knew how to get food, and the hoard was just standing there like confused cattle. Maybe someone could make a sign, like 'Order Here', or 'Please walk up and grab the food you want'. I actually asked a worker if we can just grab food if it's there- and she just looked at me with a blank stare and ignored me. It was super annoying. And once you somehow, magically get your food, there was NO WHERE to sit and eat it. There were like, 12 picnic tables with umbrellas, which would be great, but there were hoards of people and no where to eat. Sit on the hot pavement in the sun and eat?! It was actually worse than Disneyland. My toddler had fun - lots for little ones to do, but we did notice that for a new park only a year old, the ground in both coves had huge, dark patches of de-lamination already all over. That's pretty nasty. I miss music playing throughout the park to set a nice vibe too. OG wild rivers was superior, but I did enjoy the DOLE WHIPS! Pineapple and watermelon. read more

Wow!! So far I'm impressed! The service, the atmosphere, the variety in things to do here and age appropriate for my children. I have a baby and a 5 year old. My parents also came along who were let in for free because they're over 62! The only thing I regret is not buying the season pass! I strongly recommend this place! Parking - 5 stars. Easy to enter. Minimal wait. plenty of spaces. Easy walk to entrance. Venue - new and easily walkable with small children. Highly recommend water shoes or sandals for all ages. Many guests would neatly remove and place shoes at aisle or entrance of slides while riding. No issues with that in my opinion. Kids - 48 inches under. Plenty of slides, splash areas, water structure to entertain them for 6+ hours or all day. Spacious, let my kids run around with my eyes on them from afar. (5, 7, 8 year olds) Adults - today beer was on "special" for $10 Father's Day but heard it's $17 regular price which is insane. Prices are crazy for food. We opted for whole pizza ($30) and chicken tender/fries box ($15) to feed our family of 5 for lunch to try and limit costs. Next time, I will for sure bring food, and use their exterior picnic tables to save money there. Bought season pass online Saturday night, Sunday while at the park their instagram advertised free angel voucher for each season pass Purchased. I explain to ticketing window and request my angels ticket. They said no since I didn't buy season pass using some special link. I asked for 3 free ice cream coupons as remedy they said no. Talk about no customer service at all to make up for it. We'll see how the rest of summer experiences go but today was a 4 star day with no issues. Lines for food are insanely long on a busy day. I had 3 boys with me and we looked at the line for the main cafeteria, looked like a good 30-45 minute wait. So we opted to just get dessert for lunch- that line ended up taking 30 minutes. We could only find one chair available to put all of our belongings on. We left to do slides and came back to find someone had removed our things and put them on the ground and put their things on the chair. Teenagers routinely cut in line. No staff around to control it. Line management is very poor. Entrance to the wave pool is asking for trouble- you have crowds of people trying to get in when the gate is opened, meanwhile the people trying to get out are blocked by the wave of incoming people. The 1 teenage working the gate can't control the flood of people. All the while, there is another gate unmanned and closed that could easily be used as an 'exit' and prevent this whole mess. Management should consult with Disney on how to do crowd control and line management. Would make for a much more pleasant experience. Not sure if I will buy passes next summer. Edited to add: Forgot to mention- they charged me twice for our $75 lunch and now I can't get anyone on the phone to talk to about resolving this. read more

This park is relatively clean - mostly due to it being newer - the facilities are extremely clean and well kept. We arrived to the park right before it opened, so there was plenty to do without having to wait long. The biggest issue I had was the amount of open VAPING - there were at least 4 groups of people doing so. Based off the website, there should've been absolutely no smoking on the premise - huge disappointment. Not saying this is the case for every visit, but we got our chairs and then a large group of 20-something year old men (who were belligerently drunk) were being extremely inappropriate. They were openly exposing themselves to each other, making inappropriate conversations about people at the park (specifically women/girls) - meanwhile, I am sitting with my 12 year old daughter and her friend - I had to go look for other chairs for us to sit. Due to the major crowd; there wasn't anywhere for us to go. We had a good time, up until those guys showed up. read more

Came here on June 3rd in the afternoon and had so much fun with my family. We created lots of memories together laughing our way down the water slides. When we were ready to leave we noticed that we had lost our keys and to top it off we didn't have any phones on us. We backtracked all throughout the park. The lifeguards were helpful but to no avail no keys. It was getting towards closing time and we felt we were going to have to walk home. When asked about using a phone so we could call for help we were met with "I'm sorry I don't know where to direct you for that". Employee after employee said the same thing but we were kind of desperate. So off I went and kept asking each employee when finally I struck gold with a kind employee named Lexi who was working up front. Lexi was so helpful with making sure we were able to get in contact with a family member to come and pick us up (we are relatively close living in irvine ourselves but would have had to walk a few miles in our flip flops, wet swimsuits plus two kids in tow). While I was on the phone with my sister who was getting in her to car to pick us up another employee showed up with our lost key. The amount of effort that everyone showed was incredible. Lexi was the one who was kind enough to make sure my family was going to have a way to go home and showed compassion to help a customer out. We went yesterday and it was so so fun. I had tapered expectations because of all the bad reviews but I have no idea what they are talking about. The rides are amazing! The staff is great. It's so clean and new looking. All the rafts and mats and chairs are in great condition. So many chairs, so easy to get a spot. The music is just current pop, I have no idea why someone would leave because of that? There are clear rules about not bringing in food (just like many other establishments) and also there is a picnic area if you want to leave and come back in. We went as a group of six and it was perfect since the larger raft rides were 6 people. read more

Took a 2.5 year old toddler and had a great time. We didn't ride the big rides - just stayed in Cook's Cove, Kontiki Cove, and the Castaway River. Plenty of enjoyment for a toddler. Tons of lifeguards, all paying attention and doing a good job. It was clean and not chaotic feeling. Yes, the water is a little cold, but everyone got used to it quick. Don't let that deter you. Afternoon temp was 85 so it warmed up. Parking and entry at 10am was very quick. They have lots of sun-blocking covers to the lounger areas. Even at noon, when it was much busier, you could still find a lounger in the shade. Food is basic but was fine. We got a little bit of a discount using a Groupon. read more

As an older parent who takes their kids but doesn't want to sit in the heat or go in the lazy River a 100x...I'm very upset there isn't much I can go on. Renewed our passes because last summer I went on TALA a bunch of times but this year TALA has not been open once when we've been there!! Or MANA. It's dry and roped off. Why?? It's right by the food area and a great slide for those who don't want to go in a tube or on a mat. Also I used to go on the orange/turquoise slide by the dumping bucket in the older kid area but employees told me I'm not allowed this year, only younger kids. I'm not a tall person. Please open these rides back up! I have wasted money coming here this year :( read more

We bought tickets and rented a cabana ahead of time to enjoy a last family trip before my two oldest kids went off to college. When I get there to check in for the cabana I was told it was in a different location. I asked them why would it be changed when I specifically rented a certain cabana. They didn't have the answer but a manager came to speak with me and stated there was a glitch in their system. I wasn't happy that a change was made and I was never notified or asked which cabana I preferred if that really happened. I didn't want to ruin the moment for my family so I didn't press the issue. But when I walked by the cabana I had rented out- it seemed they accommodated a party that rented out a few cabanas and wanted them all in a row. It's upsetting when these things happen and the company has nothing to say about their mistake or inconvenience. read more

We were so excited to have a water park in Irvine. My friend and I bought annual passes for our toddlers. However, we cancelled our passes because there were so many delays and the kid area was not going to be ready this summer. They refunded my pass but not my friend. We bought our tickets on the same day. We cancelled our passes the same day. They are giving her the round about and have promised to refund her but then they don't. Being a yearly OG Wild Rivers attendee, I was really excited to take my three year old to experience the fun WR had to bring. Upon getting there, it definitely felt a lot more underwhelming compared to before.It was still pretty fun overall but the one main complaint I have is HOW FREEZING COLD the toddler play area was. It was so cold I didn't even want to go in. Posting this the day after, my son came down with a fever, with the freezing water being the possible cause. Regulating water temperature should be a main priority going forward. read more

yall need to stop acting like this isn't a children's targeted water park or that it isn't in the middle of nature. yes there are bees outdoors your allergy is not my problem. long as i'm not stung im good. let kids be kids and enjoy. this is a budget water park for sure but that's what's nice more people can afford it. oh but wait orange county is a bit more pretentious than lending a hand. good grief! this park was well worth the $30 day ticket. didn't need to park in the paid lot so we walked a bit. $18 for a locker saved our life. would love to see that number go down but honestly i'm grateful. we brought snacks and i didn't actually see any bees today. assuming it's not entirely finished in totality i'm glad there's somewhere fun to come on a hot day. all the staff i interacted with seemed mild mannered and pleasant. but if you were working in this heat all day cleaning up after OCs most entitled grass foals you'd not be saying much either. the slides were fun and creative. the different intensities make it nice to not be too overwhelmed or underwhelmed (pipeline!). great experience overall and will look forward to next summer. read more

I did have fun coming here for my friends birthday. However, the crowd control needs to be solved. This park is new, so it's understandable that their will be kinks they have to fix for the upcoming season. But I think due to the underwhelming theming and continued construction, I don't think it's necessary to charge so much for a ticket, parking, and even a locker (especially because they make you have street clothes on while walking into the park) Maybe next year there will be more things to do, less crowds because there's more things to do, and maybe they'll have the supposed air craft theming we were promised in their promos. When I was younger I remember this place being gross and super crowded. Wild Rivers 2.0 is so much more spacious, affordable tickets, super clean, and has so many group rides. Food doesn't taste amazing and is overpriced, but that's a theme park for you. The staff is nice and attentive and the bathrooms are actually pleasant to be in. I went on a pretty chill day, with little crowds, and plenty of seating. I imagine this to change when it gets a lot hotter, in this event I recommend renting a cabana! Overpriced and long lines. Although the rides are great the lines are super long and by the afternoon not worth the wait. Food is overpriced and not that good. You cannot bring any food or drinks into the park including water so you need to purchase everything inside the park. BUT to purchase food you need to have a card which costs $3 to activate at the kiosk. If you save it thinking you can reload it don't bother. Very disappointing. Park closed unexpectedly. Customer Service not honoring refunds as advised during incident. I visited the park on Sunday, August 6, 2023. The park was supposed to be open until 8pm. Around 5pm, there was some sort of plumbing malfunction and all the rides were shut down. Various employees throughout the park advised guests that the park was closing early and they would be issuing a complimentary ticket for admission on another day or a full refund for the day. Rides were closed, toilet facilities were no longer functioning, and the entrance to the park was closed and gated. Guests were left scrambling to figure out what was going on and to find alternate toilet facilities. I waited a bit to see if the rides would reopen and spoke with various employees. Multiple employees made announcements to the crowds that a refund would be issued. I also asked an employee at the restroom if we could use the toilets, and the employee advised we could, but could not flush. Who knows how many people had used the same toilets without flushing. Certainly a major health code issue and quite disgusting. Wild Rivers had absolutely no idea how to handle the incident. The park has a speaker system, but it was never used to update guests of the situation. We were told blatantly wrong information to get us to leave the park. I have emailed back and forth with customer service, and it's the typical 'We apologize for the inconvenience,' but tough luck. Aside from that, the park wasn't all that exciting. (1) It didn't seem very big or have a ton of rides. (2) The lines for most of the rides were confusing - each tower of stairs had a left side and a right side that went to different slides, so chances are you waste some time in the wrong line. This also contributed to (3) a lot of people line cutting. (4) The wave pool was crowded chaos and I can't believe that's legal in the US for safety reasons, but maybe that's just the nature of wave pools. (5) The lazy river was surprisingly dull. It was a pretty short path somewhat tucked off to the side of the park. It had one area of spout fountains and one area of drop buckets, but no other waterfalls or fun obstacles. Floating tubes were hard to come by and both adults and kids were randomly swimming in the river. (6) There weren't really any employees stationed at the entrance to rides to hand you tubes or slide mats. It was mostly fend for yourself. (7) At lunch time, the line at one of the restaurants was very long, maybe about 25 people deep. Fortunately I expected this and had a cooler lunch in the car. Overall I was underwhelmed by the park and extremely disappointed how Wild Rivers handled the situation. The onsite park employees were very nice, though disconnected from corporate customer service. I'm left feeling really sour about the experience and will likely not return. There are several other water parks in the area I would rather check out if I have the time. read more

After paying $25 to park, waiting in line 45 min to get in with 5 people in front of you, lockers are run off the internet which they have NONE of, the lazy river is 2 feet deep so people with kids HAVE to walk the whole thing and you are walking on SANDPAPER...my feet squished on blisters for DAYS, the kids park squirt SO MUCH WATER in their faces, my kids eyes were burning!! Dont THINK of sitting down anywhere, and if you want a big person ride, you are waiting in a VERY STEEP STEPS VERY VERY HIGH!!!! for at LEAST an hour! Had a really nice date at park but was very disappointed that there was not enough seating for everyone paid an entrance. We had to sit down underneath a little tree in front of some restrooms and the entrance of the lazy river and had to leave our stuff there as well and we were very comfortable till some random employee came by and told us we needed to move from the greenery part of the park And he said oh I'm sorry we know we need to add more places to have people to sit down but what made me mad is that there were some other family next to us and nothing was told to them.
