He came out to assess the space and gave us a straightforward, transparent quote that was very reasonable. As we considered what to do, he recommended great options that worked for our goals and budget. Once we decided, he scheduled the work and even sent helpful reminders leading up to the day. On the day of the project, Lauchlan was extremely communicative, providing updates throughout. He even went above and beyond, adding extra landscaping fabric he had on hand to our median strip at no cost and removing a dead bush root without charging us. They also cleaned up some weeds that were growing in the cracks of the driveway and helped soften a pre-existing slope in our yard. The whole process was quick, friendly, and stress-free, and our front yard has never looked better. Highly recommend Lauchlan if you want someone who's skilled, communicative, and genuinely cares about their work!

This was a technically challenging project involving a steep hill and very mature redwood roots. Standout qualities of this company are: 1. Ease of quoting process Before coming out in person, they were able to give us a ballpark price based on dimensions, fence type, and site images. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K. Dago's price was the lowest quote (with minute differences in material) and we are very glad we went with him!

Recently, we had them to a full conversion/remodel of our backyard from awful weeds to nice natural grass, with an irrigation system, mulch, and tasteful plants. I was amazed with both how well it came out, and how affordable the project was! I would HIGHLY recommend using Dago Garcia's team for either regular yard maintenance, or any yard project you have in mind. Dago has decades of experience and knows exactly what he is doing- he is super friendly and helped us with great ideas. Give Dago a call!

After…read morechecking out their reviews (which were overwhelmingly positive), I decided to reach out--and I'm so glad I did. This was the first big project we tackled after buying our new home, and we were honestly so overwhelmed and nervous. But from the very beginning, Ecopacha made the entire process feel streamlined, manageable, and even enjoyable. Our front landscaping hadn't been touched since the house was built in the 60s--it was completely outdated and in desperate need of love. Manuel came out to meet us and immediately understood our vision. He helped us design a front yard that's not only beautiful but feels like us. And Humberto--he's truly one of the kindest and most patient people I've ever worked with. I had a ton of questions throughout the process, and he took the time to walk me through everything with so much care and detail. Their entire crew was amazing--showing up every single day on time, ready to work, and incredibly efficient and meticulous. Even my neighbors commented on how rare it is to see that kind of consistency and dedication. Every step was smooth, thoughtful, and well-executed. I was so impressed by their dedication and commitment that I decided to add a second project: redoing a part of our backyard fence and garden area to create a play space for our daughter. Humberto took care of seamlessly folding this extra work into our overall project timeline, and the team approached it with the same level of thoughtfulness and care as they did our front yard. It was such a joy to watch it all come together. One of the biggest bonuses? Humberto went above and beyond with our irrigation system--he discovered we had two separate sprinkler systems watering the lawn and fixed it so that only one runs now. That alone is saving us so much on our water bill every month. Any concern or question I had--no matter how small--was addressed right away and with genuine care. It was clear throughout the entire process that they deeply care about the quality of their work and about making their clients happy. Now, our front yard looks modern, fresh, and completely transformed--and I honestly can't believe it's mine. Every time I step out my front door, I'm in awe that this dream yard is ours. My neighbors have all been stopping by to compliment it and ask who we worked with. I'm actually a little sad the project is over because working with Humberto, Manuel, and their team was such a joy. They are truly some of the nicest, most dedicated people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. If you're dreaming of a beautiful outdoor space, I can't recommend Ecopacha enough. They'll make your vision a reality--and you'll enjoy every step of the way.

4 stars for quality work. 0 stars for ethical business…read morepractices I hired Melvin and George from La Económica Landscaping after receiving a written estimate from their coordinator, Cindy, for work that included: * Garden clean-up & hauling - $1,375 * Mulch + small brick installation (combined) - $650 Total: $2,025 And a recurring monthly maintenance fee at $200 The crew did a nice job with the clean-up. Their labor and craftsmanship were good. However, the way this business operates is extremely concerning. Even though the scope was clearly defined both verbally and in writing, the owner later tried to change the terms of the estimate, claiming parts of the agreed-upon work were "mistakenly included." Throughout the process, there were multiple "gotcha" moments, surprise clarifications, shifting explanations, and attempts to downplay what was originally promised. Despite the written estimate explicitly listing a "mulch + small brick installation (combined)", the brick installation was never completed. When I followed up, they claimed it had been a "mistake" in the estimate and refused to honor that part of the agreement. Communication became defensive, taunting, and unprofessional, and rather than resolve the situation collaboratively, the owner sent a $300 refund before we had even reached an agreement, then canceled my ongoing maintenance service altogether. It's disappointing, because the work quality itself was solid. But their business ethics and communication practices are sketchy. They seem more focused on short-term profit than building long-term relationships or standing by their written commitments. They told me the brick feature would enhance the look of my garden. I guess I'll never find out. If you decide to hire them, make sure every detail is documented and signed. Otherwise, expect last-minute changes and confusion about what you actually paid for.
