I'm sharing this experience because communication and consistency really matter when it comes to our kids' healthcare. We brought our daughter in for a routine visit, and overall, she had no major issues no cavities, no need for deep cleaning, just a standard cleaning and a conversation about improving brushing habits. Based on that visit, there were no other serious concerns about her oral health. Dr. Kerr also referred her to orthodontics, which we followed up on. As part of that process, the orthodontist requested a simple form from the dentist confirming her overall oral health. This is where things became confusing and frustrating. On that form, Dr. Kerr indicated that she does not have good oral health which directly conflicted with what we were told during her visit and the level of care she actually needed (a basic cleaning only). I reached out politely via email asking for clarification on how he defines "good oral health," especially since his evaluation didn't match the condition of her teeth or the feedback we received in person. I never received a response. As a parent, that lack of follow-up is concerning. We rely on our providers to be clear, consistent, and willing to communicate , especially when their assessment can impact referrals or treatment decisions. I'm not saying this office doesn't provide basic care, but I do believe parents should be aware that communication and clarity may be lacking. read more

I am extremely disappointed and angry about what happened during our recent visit with Dr. Kerr. We have come to this office several times, and at first he seemed welcoming but this visit showed his true colors. My daughter was scared and crying, and instead of being patient or comforting, Dr. Kerr rushed her, scolded her for being "too loud," and actually kicked me out of the room because she was still crying. I could hear him raising his voice at her all the way from the lobby. No child should ever be treated like that by a professional, especially a pediatric dentist. It was completely unacceptable and painful to watch as a parent. I don't know if he was trying to rush through the appointment or just didn't want to work that day, but there is absolutely no excuse for speaking to a child like that. On top of that, the office is in terrible condition damaged walls, dirty, and clearly not well cared for. The environment matches the attitude. I will never bring my daughter back here, and I strongly warn other parents to think twice before trusting this dentist with their children. read more

I've been taking my kids to this dentist for about a year now, and have finally had enough! On several occasions Dr. Kerr has been abrupt and rude to both of my kids and they don't like him and are scared of him. He gets impatient with them if they are upset, snaps at them if they don't follow his directions perfectly, and makes them feel dumb. He actually barked at me saying "don't touch the patient!" When I was holding my son's s hand while he was getting a tooth pulled. He's loud, abrasive, and not child friendly. A few weeks ago my son had tooth pulled, and they office was so busy that they left him on nitrous oxide for way too long, so long that he had drool dripping on the floor and there was no assistant in the room to suction his mouth or monitor him. I had to wipe his mouth and try to look for someone to check on him because I was scared. It just doesn't feel right there. I'm going to find somewhere else to take my kiddos. read more

My daughter and I had the worst experience with Dr. Kerr. He was very aggressive and scared my child. I just told him that I'm not comfortable with my daughter having so many x-rays. Giving this place 1 star because the Front desk associate was EXTREMELY rude when my husband went to take our kids to their dentist appointment. Mind you we have been there a few times with no issues. We along with ( I'm sure MANY parents ) want to check on their kids while they are in the room. Well this lady with blue glasses stated " this will be the last time" with a condescending attitude. But yet the previous associates AND doctor had no issues with this. You don't mess around with peoples kids. They also continue to overcharge for procedures. We had the same procedure done and there was SIGNIFICANT price differences, i did let me insurance know of this. Today we had an appointment for all 3 of our children for their 6 month check ups being new to the area. This place is not aimed towards children in my opinion, it was our worst experience with children's dentistry yet. We will be going somewhere else next time. It was just not a great experience for our kids and we were not impressed. Instead of talking to our children, they physically moved them on the chair to where they needed them. It was just overall a poor experience. We will not be returning and I recommend looking elsewhere for pediatric dentistry. read more

The second time returning to this dentist was not nearly as pleasant as the first time. Unfortunately, my husband and I decided we will be choosing a different dentist in the future due to the fact they don't allow a parent to accompany their child during the cleaning and only the exam. They allowed me to go back with my six year old who is on the spectrum, but the staff seemed to be annoyed when I asked to accompany my child. The previous time we went for a check up, the staff didn't make such a big deal. They don't let parents back with their children, even for a standard cleaning. I felt really uncomfortable with that but went along with it for two appointments. My 5 year old had to get a couple fillings and after told me that he could feel the drill and it hurt the whole time. They didn't numb him enough and he didn't know he was allowed to tell them. I was forced to trust he would be in good hands while I couldn't see anything that was going on, and he had a painful experience. I regret allowing him to have work done here. My kids hate the dentist here. I personally learned to dislike him as much as they do. I wanted to finish their pending treatment here before moving on to a new Dr. since my kids requested it. Unfortunately I was unable to finish their dental work because the Dr. insisted on doing a root canal on my daughters BABY tooth which is likely to come out in a couple of months. I asked to extract it instead to save myself some money and my daughter sometime of sitting on the dental chair for a long period of time since she hates the dentist. Dr. Refused stating the tooth was good to save but I've worked at a dental office before and they ALWAYS offer two options when it comes to an infected tooth that's past the point of filling. This Dr. however insisted on a root canal and saving a BABY tooth that's due to fall off soon. Never have I ever worked for a Dr. who refused to give a patient more than one option when there's options. And you'd think that because it's a baby tooth it would make more sense to extract it anyway right? But nope. Not this one. This one is about the Money and hitting their daily/monthly goal. These types of dental office have $$$ goals and the bigger the treatment $$$ the more money they get $$$. Too bad they couldn't fool me. Also the front office girl Ashley was insistent that a root canal doesn't mean a tooth is infected. Pretty funny for someone who works in the dental field to say that because a RCT needed means there's clearly an infection there. I've taken my kids here for less than a year and the employee turn around is high. Different employees every time. If you're looking for a family Dr. this isn't the one....... Update; I took my daughter to a different dental office as previously stated. They were kind enough to take their own X-rays without any charge. They advised me they didn't have to do anything with her baby tooth as they were already falling off soon, that was one of the tooth's she needed a root canal & that Wild West insisted on performing a root canal was in fact actually loose and wiggly, which just proved my point on the statements I made earlier above. Exactly what I already knew. No need to save a tooth that was due to fall soon. I'm glad they insisted on their money hungry treatment which led me to find this new dental office that my daughter prefers and is absolutely HAPPY with. I'm happy as well. I would not recommend using this clinic. The fact that walk-ins are welcome and they have $35 exams seems enticing, but you will be getting poor quality service. I brought my daughter in as a walk-in appointment to see if she could have a baby tooth pulled that we couldn't get out because the adult tooth had grown in front of it. It has been loose for a while and would be a very easy pop out procedure for the dentist. I explained to the receptionist that we were new to the area, my kids had recently seen a dentist in Washington and all I wanted today was for my daughter to have a tooth pulled. I was told of the $35 exam fee and that it included cleaning, X-rays etc. I said she didn't need all that, that I was just wanting her seen to have her tooth pulled. The receptionist said she would have to have an exam first. I asked if there was a long wait time but she didn't say. So we waited for a while and got called back. Waited again for a while and the doctor came it. I explained what we were in for, he confirmed the tooth was only hanging in by tissue and my daughter would be fine to bite on an apple to get it out, or he could pull it if I wanted him to. He quickly left without any more explanation and the assistant gave me a print out of the "procedure cost including Nitrous gas for the procedure" for a total of $208. She started to usher us out and I said, so we can't have it done today (not that I was going to pay $208), and she said no, we don't do same day procedures. I explained that we literally only wanted to be seen to have the tooth pulled and the receptionist said nothing about not being able to pull the tooth today. Again I was ushered out to the front to check out. I tried to explain to another receptionist now in the front that the visit went nothing like I had expected and no one told me first, that there were no same day procedures, and second, that having a baby tooth pulled would cost $208. They said I needed to pay the $35 exam fee. I said I didn't feel like that was fair and asked to have it waived or even reduced but they wouldn't do anything to accommodate my request. I had to pay $35 for absolutely nothing. The receptionist was not clear AT ALL about what I could expect from the visit, we did not get her tooth pulled, the doctor was with us for 2 minutes, and I feel like important information was not communicated. I would not have wasted 1 hour of our time or $35 of our money had I known there was not same day procedures and it was going to cost $208. I called to speak with a manager right after the visit and was redirected to another office. Left a message and two days later no call back. I called again, was redirected to another manager named Amy who told me I needed to speak with Adriana but she had left for the day so a message was left. Next day Adriana called me back, and it turns out she was the original receptionist who did the intake for our visit. I explained to her my frustrations and concerns about being charged the $35 and asked for a refund, but after a long conversation and her telling me that she did say to me that they don't usually do same day procedures (which she did not) she said she could not offer me a refund. I very much regret my decision to bring my daughter in to this clinic. I rarely write reviews but felt strongly to share my experience about this clinic so others may not have to go through a similar experience. I highly recommend you do not take your child to this office. I was told my 3 year old needed to get a 2 minute treatment on her 2 cavities and it did not require drilling or anesthesia. Not only was this treatment going to be fast but would not cause her any pain, so it made no sense to me why they kept pressuring me to do the laughing gas on her. I informed the office I wanted to see how she would do without it but if she needed it, then go ahead. When she got called to the back, I was told I could not go with her. She is 3 years old. I was not even allowed to stand in the hall. She was going to be by herself in a room with a male dentist and they wanted to make her all loopy for the procedure. This really creeped me out and I left. I have never been in a children's office where the parents are not allowed in. I am reporting them to the insurance as well.
