Get after it Wild West Guitars - Called in about a CS Strat, and Bo patiently spent 30 minutes answering my questions around 3 different guitars I was struggling to compare online. If it wasn't for Bo, and his patience around answering my questions, I for sure wouldn't have taken the plunge. I've never spent this much on a guitar without playing it, and all concerns were alleviated during my call. It's easy to have a liberal return policy; however, speaking to someone and having the sense of security that they're there after the purchase is incredibly important. After finally deciding, everything was incredibly smooth. Invoicing, setup, same day shipping, and general communication was great. Guitar arrived in Philadelphia 4 days later without issue. Opened the case to a solid setup and guitar was still in tune. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, and they will be my future go to for online purchases. This establishment is first class all the way. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and my wife got me a new Fender custom shop for my 46th birthday. Good: VERY nice staff. The people who work there are personable and polite. They seem like good people. There was NO sales pressure, which I truly appreciate. Clean store and an amazing selection of guitars...BEAUTIFUL, high quality guitars. Bad: Guitars there are so overpriced that even wealthy customers are going to instantly know to go somewhere else or online to buy. I was looking for a PRS and found these guys through the PRS site. I looked through their web site and was immediately taken in by their selection of exclusive run guitars and fell in love with a gray black purple burst CE. I live out of state so I called them up because there was a small blemish on this guitar and wanted more info. I am now a true believer; this is a great store run by really nice people. I had a problem with a guitar, contacted them by email, got a quick response, had a second quick response confirming an appointment, and got my guitar fixed. No fuss, no hassle. Just had an OUTSTANDING experience with Wild West Guitars. I haven't actually been to the shop but did a major transaction via phone/Internet. I worked with Bo, who couldn't have been nicer or more patient. Communication was quick and follow-through was consistent. I bought a PRS Custom 24 with custom spec's only available at Wild West. The guitar has turned out to be about the best guitar I've ever played, let alone owned and is something I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. I was also on a bit of a budget and Bo worked with me to get me the guitar at a price I could manage. So after numerous visits to a certain large guitar store, where I was subjected to endless screeching, meaningless riffs by every wannabe Eddie Van Halen in Pasadena, I took the suggestion of a musician friend and went over to Wild West Guitars. Wow, what a difference. I met Bo, who gave me a quick tour of the place, answered a few questions, and then let me browse at my leisure. The guitars in stock are magnificent, and Bo let me know that if there was any guitar I was interested in that they didn't stock he could get it for me. A few days later I called to inquire about ordering a Fender Strat Elite HSS. Bo said he'd get into it, and the next day he called to say he could get the guitar in a couple of days and at a price that was better than any I'd seen -- even online. When the Guitar arrived he called to let me know, and I went over and spend some time with their brilliant tech, Scott, as he did a incredible job doing the set-up. Best musical instrument purchasing experience of my life. ANY guitar I EVER buy for the rest of my life I will buy from Wild West. It felt like buying something from a good friend, which is exactly what Bo, Scott, and the other folks there have become. Highest recommendation. read more
