Would've given this place one star if not for the kind male manager who came out towards the end of our dinner. Came here for a post bowling grub and planned to just eat some wings and leave. To start off our server was very inattentive and paid zero attention to our table. It took us ten minutes to even receive menus, ten more minutes for her to take our drink order, another ten minutes to bring our drinks out and another ten minutes to place our order. After our order was placed we waited. and waited. and waited. I work in customer service so i hate to bother the server and ask when our food was coming out however it seemed like she had just forgotten us. Every time i looked at her she was at her other tables. After waiting an entire hour I started to wonder if i should look for someone to inquire about our food, but really what i wanted to do the most was just walk out and leave. After all, our drink order was just water anyways. I don't understand what was so difficult about our order because it was just 3 orders of wings. Not to mention they were only 6 count. After waiting an HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES our server finally showed up to our table-- empty handed. Did i mention? I would've completely understood if the kitchen was backed up, or they were short staffed, however there was plenty of staff, and barely any customers. Not only that but we watched as every table around us got served. Even tables who came in after us received their food before us. Our server tells us the kitchen "forgot" to drop the wing order in and that they were making them now. She took zero responsibility over the fact that she did not check on our table ONCE the entire hour and forty minutes. I honestly googled the amount of time it takes to cook wings because i was baffled. Not only did we already wait an hour and a half, but proceeded to wait thirty more for our food to come out. You would've expected them to push our order to the top after waiting that long but nope! Finally a kind guy comes out and apologized for the wait, thanked us for our patience, and brought our food out. He had a great attitude and i appreciate the way he handled the situation. I added one more star solely thanks to him. He told us the food was on the house, but in all honestly we really did not care about that we were just upset about the entire situation and everyone just wanted to go home. More likely you have to pay for the sandwich you didn't order and didn't eat because it is nowhere close to what you want. Decided to drive to Anderson to visit Wild WIng Cafe since we hadn't been to one in a couple years and have long enjoyed the franchise at other stores. We were promptly seated and given our menus. First red flag was the absence of the classic Buffalo Chips appetizer... Okay, we can roll with it we thought, and continued to look at the menus. Listed with the typical domestic light lagers was a note about additional draft options. Our server appeared, ready to take our drink orders - having seen the usual wide array of beer taps we asked for the beer menu. There isn't one. Okay ... so we asked what they had on tap. Server couldn't tell us. We'd need to get up from our table (next to the kitchen), walk over to the bar, try to read the various taps, decide what we wanted, then come back to the table and wait to give the server our order. We've been looking forward to our father's day lunch. My son and I have enjoyed the wing meal deal for years and were looking forward to it today. He's been asking for months, so we were looking forward to our Fathers Day lunch. We checked the menu before arriving to make sure the wing meal deal was still going and it was listed. I asked how much it is and am told it isn't going on anymore. I asked what deal is going on instead. Again, there has always been some wing special going on for the past few years. She said it was only online and there were no deals at all. I asked if the manager was available thinking obviously there is a misunderstanding. Many times in the past, they have had deals, but they just hadn't been clearly communicated to servers. The manager also says, no there's not a deal anymore. She says that corporate runs online and that they have no control. I told her it was poor customer service and not customer friendly at all. False advertising is not cool at all. She even agreed it wasn't right and that they have had many complaints. You would think a business would respond to a pattern of complaints. I again asked what kind of other deals they may have instead and am told nothing. Not even anything for Father's Day apparently. To have the manager acknowledge it was poor practice and yet just shrug my concerns off anyway was frustrating. Do we need to sit in the restaurant and place an order online instead next time and have them bring it to our table? Or do we have to eat our wings out in the parking lot to be able to enjoy a family friendly meal together? My son and I were upset. We had planned on this meal and brought enough cash for about what our meal deal should've been. I wanted to leave I felt so disrespected as a longtime customer. My son would've been devastated though. It was already our first father's day with our dad/granddad and he had been upset all day but looking forward to this one thing. "Should have gone to Cracker Barrel" When we walked in we were greeted with the smell of old frying oil and the floors were slippery with some substance. We were seated immediately at a corner booth. Both the table and seats were sticky and had grease smears on them. Service was lacking, as multiple orders were forgotten and were taken wrong. Maybe this had something to do with the pungent weed smell coming from the waitress. Now, the food. The one order of wings came out without any carrots or celery (other tables with similar orders had them). There were 6 measly little dried out, over cooked wings with more bone than chicken. The hot chicken sandwich had a nice large bun, but the chicken patty took up less than a third of it. For a wing place, this is a disgrace. 7-11 could hands down have been better. Have to mention the bathrooms too. The mold growing in the toilet was a nice touch to the decor. There were remnants of marijuana leaves on the floor in one of the stalls. Lately the wings and service have been more hit or miss. We got a really terrible batch a few weeks ago that were burnt and pretty much inedible. We told our waitress twice that the wings weren't right and she kept assuring us they were fine and just "extra crispy". I never send things back, but these were bad enough I was willing to. Unfortunately she wouldn't do that. A lot of the servers are pretty young, which is completely fine, but they don't seem well managed/trained. Food runners come to the table with wings and have no idea what flavors they are and don't bring the ticket with them. I personally think having food runners is a bad idea. They didn't take the order, so they don't know if the order is correct... especially if they don't even have the ticket with them. It's also pretty common for the runners to mix up ranch/blue cheese and then you have to sit there and wait for them to bring the correct one back while your wings get cold. Sometimes you don't see your server again for a while after the food runner drops the food off. The server should be there when the food is dropped off to correct any issues immediately. It's just not a good process. Hire a few more servers and lose the runners. That way the servers can focus on having more time to spend with their tables and to check the orders before bringing them to the table. read more

I'm guessing many of the guests arriving at this Wild Wing Cafe are staying at the many hotels that surrounding, in addition to residents of Anderson. We've stayed at the Fairfield Inn, in the same parking lot, many times in the last two years and at night make the walk to Wild Wing Cafe. If you've been to one of these in other places in South Carolina, North Carolina or Florida you know it's a great place to come to watch sporting events and drink. This location has a decent number of TV's, not as many as most of them, but offers live music at times, too. The question is why Wild Wing Cafe vs all the other chain restaurants (including Hooters) in this area? Good question. Hooters brings much better scenery, but the food doesn't hold a note to Wild Wing Cafe. Also, we had wonderful service here, which isn't always the case at Hooters. I'd plan on coming here if you want to watch sporting events and take your time with your meal. They won't be trying to push you out the door here. The food is pretty good for sport bar/chain food. The burgers are hand-padded and taste fresh, the salads are huge and if you get a chance, try the Sliders, not bad! All in all, this is a great place to come with buddies to watch games, have a few beers or bring the family for a fun filled dinner in an inviting atmosphere. Or come here after you eat somewhere else, sit back, have a few drinks and watch games. read more

We have always come to this location for TwoFer Tuesday. It had been awhile so I called them to be sure this promotion still existed, and was told yes. We had the option for Buy 6/Get 6 or Buy 10/ Get 10, or half off 6 or 10. We drove there, ordered take out (one order of 6/6 and one order of 10/10). When the total came to $41+ I asked how that could be possible, showing the prices on the menu. I was told it is Buy one order get the second order 50% off. Why was this not mentioned when I called on the phone to inquire if the promotion still existed? We took it anyhow since we just drove 30 miles to get there. Once we got home and opened the boxes, the size of the wings was ridiculous. So small, not like what they were in the past.
