Right next to our hotel (walking distance) and just drove through Atlanta so it was the best option - LOL. Glad we did not look at reviews as the score would have had us go somewhere else. We had a GREAT experience here! We stopped in for a late night drink/grub around 11pm after the clemson and App state game. We sat outside on the patio. The weather was amazing; the music sounded good out there. and there was just one other couple seated a few tables away. Our server took a good 10 or so min to get to us; but once he did he was AMAZING! We can't remember his name but he was a little older; had a grey beard; and semi tall wearing a carolina gamecocks jersey. He was very friendly; recommended great drinks and food to us. Was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was attentive and checked on us regularly, brought out the food quickly and never missed a beat. The food was your average pub style food; but it was GREAT as well! I got a chicken ceaser salad and it was a 10/10! My boyfriend had the ultimate bacon burger with fries; he said it was good and rated it an 8/10; he said it was cooked the way he wanted it to be; it was juicy and the bacon was crispy. Things started off alright, we ordered some wings and some boneless wings. The wings came out alright, not great, but not bad. They were a little bit on the small side. The boneless wings were the problem. They came out cold and hard. Not just a little cold but refrigerator cold. Because of that we sent them back. They did remake the boneless wings and they did come out a little better, (they were at least warm) but they came out on a wet plate.(picture included). This caused us to lose our appetite. The waitress told us it was okay because it was getting late and the plates are just wet at the end of the night. I ordered food on Wild Wings Cafe mobile app LAST SUNDAY 3-03-2024 at 10:30 p.m. considering the fact my husband, my kids, and I were at the Fairfield inn directly next door(which my kids wanted Wendy's but I convinced them that instead of nuggets and fries they could get feathers and fries and would be much better) I placed our order and the app sent an automated email stating my total, confirming the order with an order number. The app then sent a second email providing a confirmation of the kitchen receiving my order and around about what time it should be ready for pick up. Which was at 11:52 it also showed what time the kitchen stops receiving orders which is 11:45 the store closes at 12. I walked over to get our food at 11:55 3mins after the time said it would be ready. I got to the door at exactly 11:55 and the doors were locked. Which appeared to be locked for a while because the workers were sitting around the bar having drinks and ignoring me knocking. I called them back to back about 5 times while looking directly at them thru the door finally someone picks up and I explain I was there to pick up my order and provided my info along with order number. The manager gets back otp and tell me they nvr received my order and the grills were cut off and no food. After telling him my situation he basically says oh well I can't do anything and it'll be 48-72 hrs before I could even get a refund. I called back the next day spoke with a girl she got my info and assured she would handle it. On Sunday 3-10-24 I still hadn't heard anything and called back . I then spoke to the GM and once again gave my info and he ASSURED he was gonna contact someone right then and call right back because he hadn't even heard of the incident at all. Today is March 11th at approximately 5:30 and I have yet and STILL heard anything nor received a refund which was a lil over 40-50 dollars and now no one will answer the phones. Two stars because on occasion they get it right and it is marvelous. Last night was not the case. First, bartender has to over pour the beer into a bucket for 15 seconds because it was foam. The beer was not cold and tasted flat. Second, I ordered 15 wings wet. They came out bone dry and crunchy. I sent them back and the kitchen poured about a pint of sauce on them. They were swimming in it, but still crunchy and the inside dry. I couldn't eat it. It's going to take a long time for me to give them another chance, like years. They should get a second menu with appropriate pricing for crap food and drink. I can't believe I had to pay $35 dollars for that. For what I got, it shouldn't have cost more than $5. Yucky. We ate in the bar to avoid the line of people waiting outside for a table. The bartender was, by far, the busiest person in the joint. He was trying to handle the bar for the entire restaurant and wait on the eight couples sitting at the bar. Food-wise: That appetizer green bean dish was basically soggy, oily over-cooked green beans served with watery ranch dressing. The wings weren't really freshly cooked. They were a little stale tasting and not piping hot. They were delivered by the kitchen and couldn't tell us which wings were which sauce. The grilled chicken salad was fresh but I changed from the teriyaki seasoning on the chicken to another flavor, and in return, I got no seasoning. Covid-wise: No precautions were taken by the staff. No one wore a mask. The bar was not wiped off. The plastic menus were sticky. When I got my salad, I couldn't get the attention of the bartender so I went to the hostess to ask for a set of utensils. She brought me a plastic fork and knife. I asked for a metal one, and she told me they didn't have any. Really? Don't ignore covid precautions and then pick/choose shortcuts on service blaming covid-precautions.
