Located right across from the park and the Bean, it is a great spot to fuel up before a day of exploring. The portions here are large, meaning you easily get your money's worth and will likely leave with a to-go box. The lines get extremely long very quickly. If you plan on going on the weekend, you really need to get there early before the massive morning rush sets in. Once you make it inside, the dining room gets very loud and high-energy, so it is not an ideal environment if you are looking for a quiet or intimate meal. They call out names when its your turn (no megaphone/microphone), which makes it difficult to leave and hear. Got the slow roast brisket hash with choice of toast or pancakes. Paid additional for signature berry bliss pancakes that were topped with mascarpone filling, blackberry coulis, and vanilla cream. We decided to stop by this breakfast spot before heading to the festival across the street. Parking was limited, so we ended up walking to the restaurant. There was about a 30-minute wait, and with the warm weather, it felt a bit long. This place is worth the wait. The line is long, but it goes by quick because they're pretty efficient. We walked over to the bean while we waited. I opted to come to this restaurant because it was closer than the one I originally had planned to go to. Bad idea. It was incredibly packed, as it was late morning on the 4th of July. When I checked in for a party of 1 there were 60 some odd people ahead of me, so I decided to wait at the park across the street. When I got a text the table was ready, I was told to wait on the side right by the host stand. It was crowded, there was no organization and it was a major fire hazard. It was really concerning. Servers were crossing back & forth in front of waiting guests from the outside patio & throughout the restaurant. It was incredibly frustrating. I was seated outside in the patio which wasn't ideal but at least I got a table. The server, a white young woman, was apologetic about the wait and assured me AND the other 2 white women next to my table she would be with us shortly. I told her that we were not in the same party. She understood & acknowledged my comment. When she returned, she took their order first while I was seated there first & I was closer to her. This doesn't make sense because I was one solitary person, and my order would've been easier & faster. The only reason I could gather why she would do that was because they were white. That is not ethical or moral, it is unacceptable, and a major problem. It's a poor business practice to have discriminatory employees working here. I felt insignificant because of my skin color. My money is the same as theirs, and I should be treated equally. She also made sure to offer them water refills but didn't ask me if I needed one. I should NOT have left a tip. It was very slow service and poor overall. As for the food, it was very good, no complaints about the taste or presentation. The cooks did a phenomenal job. It was a large serving size, and I had lots of food left. I could've easily split my meal with someone. It's very unfortunate to have received such poor service. I should've gone to the other restaurant like I had initially planned. I would never come here again. I do not recommend coming here. read more

Very, very popular, Wildberry is apparently the place to have breakfast in Chicago based alone on the lines and sheer volume of customers. Came on Easter Sunday brunch and there was an entire mass of people filling the sidewalks waiting. You can only enter the waitlist in person and can only be seated if all members are there. That said, Wildberry turns over incredibly quick. Easter Sunday around 11:30am was a 25-min wait and the food is served very fast. The tables are also cleaned very fast, be sure to grab what you're taking with you so you don't lose a milk, as my son found out. For as fast as it is though, the food is good. Crispy hashbrown, plenty of meat or cheeses, eggs done just as you asked and specialty pancakes such as oreo, cookie dough, or fruity pebbles.
