This place has a great wine selection, but the interior furnishings are a bit sparse .

This place opened up recently on College St. My husband first spotted it driving by one day and…read moremade a note for us to go check it out. I'm very glad we did. We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.

Last night my boyfriend and I decided to try dining here after looking at the menu online and…read moreeverything sounded delicious! Inside is very cozy, dark, but enough light to be able to read the menus and still have a romantic feel to it. I got the zuppa di pesce, which was AMAZING. It was so good. My boyfriend got the rigatoni Bolognese. He raved over his meal as well! Our server Sarah was very attentive and knowledgeable and recommended that we paired a wine (forgetting which) with the meal. It was a great combination. This was our first experience here and we will definitely be back. Thank you for such lovely dining experience!

They serve complementary warm bread with garlic herb butter and it's delicious. The heirloom and burrata salad was the perfect starter, so fresh. I got the spaghetti with clams and it was one of the best I've had in New England. My mom got the special and really enjoyed it. We shared the grilled artichoke and were really surprised at how generous the portion was and how affordable the price was. Service was fine. Nothing noteworthy. Didn't get checked on very often, but maybe that's their style? Either way, really good experience. Would recommend and would go back.

It didn't take long to identify the state's core competencies: Producing world-class cheese Perfecting brick oven pizza Aggressively curating a very specific political vibe Curiously, only two of those things are edible, and unfortunately, you can't get pizza without being reminded of the third. Also worth noting: I'm not convinced any other style of pizza exists in Vermont. If it's not artisanal, wood-fired, and served on a reclaimed barn board, it apparently doesn't make the cut. So naturally, my brain locked in and I ate pizza two nights in a row like a creature of habit. Night 1: Pizzeria Verità Parking was...aspirationally convenient. After navigating downtown Burlington, which feels like a live-action sociology thesis, I made it inside. Let's address the elephant in the room: the price. With tip, I dropped nearly $30 for what amounted to a personal-sized pepperoni pizza that politely declined to fill me up. I assume part of the cost goes toward sourcing ethically massaged tomatoes or ensuring the mozzarella had a fulfilling upbringing. Now, to be fair, the pizza was excellent. Truly. Great crust, quality ingredients, clearly crafted by someone who cares deeply about their art. But the value? That's where things get a little...Vermont. Delicious? Absolutely. Filling? Not quite. Financially efficient? Only if you measure wealth in vibes. I went in skeptical, left impressed, and still had to consider a second dinner.

Our server, Elias was very friendly, helpful and just a great person to interact with. My wife and I split a starter Cesar salad which may had been the best salad I've had in a long time. Then came her rigatoni alla vodka, my meatballs and our son's spaghetti bolognese. All of which were great and really tasteful. The drinks Elias recommended (including an off menu strawberry margarita) made the night that much better. Overall phenomenal experience.

It was good tho, nice garlic taste and covered with cheese. We also started with the Caesar salad which was really good. There were 5 of us and we split 2. Lots of cheese, the croutons tasted homemade, and the dressing was tasty. For my entree I got the vodka pasta and added chicken. I honestly was disappointed in the vodka sauce, it didn't have much flavor. I also thought the portion was small, if I didn't add the chicken I still would've been hungry after finishing. Although, the crispy chicken I did add was delicious. I'm glad we finally tried it here, but not sure I'll be back.
