Update: I have it 5 stars but we went back last week and our bbq was awful. After waiting 30 minutes because they ran out of stuff.. I believe they were busy and he quality was affected. I could not believe the difference from the review I posted months ago. We were very disappointed in this place after looking forward to stopping back by. Stumbled upon this place on our way through Franklin and it was amazing! I had the BBQ baked potato and Mac and cheese. The potato was simple but a huge serving and tasted amazing with the house BBQ sauce and the Mac and cheese was some of the best I've had. If I am ever anywhere near this BBQ place I will definitely stop back by.. or may even drive 3 hours for it! read more

Wow, this place has some seriously good BBQ including brisket and pork shoulder. The meat is tender, smoky and delicious. The sides--including bbq beans, corn bread, hog fries, fried corn and much more--were all excellent. The variety of sauces are also spot-on. Stumbled upon this great little bbq place while traveling from Nashville to Chicago! What a great surprise! Delicious food and great hospitality. The hog fries, okra and pulled pork were yummy!! This place is one of the best BBQ I've ever had. Been coming for years. When I travel I intentionally try to go to BBQ places to compare and so far I have not found an equal to Wild Fire. The owner is a kind and honest man who cares about his customers. There has not been a time that he has not visited the dining room to make sure everything was excellent. I've been able to try every item on the menu. My personal favorites are the half chicken plate, pulled pork and the sliced shoulder. I do love the ribs too. His hog fries are awesome too. And a major bonus to me is that his BBQ sauces are great too. read more

It has everything I like in a bbq joint. Small homey atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, good bbq, and good sides. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, homemade chips, and onion rings. Tried Wild Fire for first time today. Why did I not know this place existed. Great BBQ. I had the Pit Combo. A sampling of pulled pork, brisket, and sliced shoulder. All were great. This place is great and I would defiantly recommend it! My grandmother passed away and I called and placed an unusual catering order for her funeral visitation because I was unable to attend. (Forget the flowers and bring on the MEAT! :) Being from out of town and not wanting to ask any of the grieving family to pick up an order of BBQ, Jeff Lewis graciously offered to deliver it on my behalf!! We ordered 12lbs pulled pork BBQ and it was a delicious, hearty, and satisfying meal on a tough day for my family. The big chunks of meat and smoky mild sauce were the favorite of the crowd. I've been passing this place up for quite awhile. I finally decided to try it today. I wish I had passed it again. I tried the pick three meat plate. This is obviously not barbecue. There was absolutely no smoke taste at all, everything was bland. I was highly disappointed. Also their sauce was not good at all. I also had the cornbread and could literally taste the oil in it. Just went there and got the loaded fries to go. Asked the lady if there was sauce in there she told me yes she put it in the box. Got back to my hotel and I had no barbecue sauce, nothing but fries, cheese, and meat. When I called back they told me It was placed in the bag. I told the lady it was not so she said I can come and get sauce within 10 mins, who wants sauce with cold fries why not remake the fries. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

Although we have plenty of BBQ in Texas, we were kind of in the middle of nowhere when I started searching for a place to eat. The reviews were good and some of the described food looked interesting. It didn't disappoint! My husband had the Smoke Stack and I had the Pit Combo. I got the hog fries and green beans as my sides. We tried all the sauces. (Beware that the hot sauce is that, for sure!) The atmosphere inside was comfortable and attractive. The service was fast, even though everything is made to order. The staff was friendly. This place has very good reviews but we felt that it was just okay. I have to admit that we bevame skeptical when we got out of the car and did not smell any smoker aroma. I got the brisket platter with the seasoned fries and white beans. The brisket was watery. It was okay but the smokey flavor tasted like it came from liquid smoke instead of actual smoking and it did not have that Smokey pink ring under the edge. Upon reviewing the menu it does not say smoked brisket just brisket. It was tender but not my type of brisket. The seasoned fries had a seasoning that had sugar in it, so again not to my liking. The white beans were good but I did not see any type of meat in the beans so assume the flavor came from a jar. My husband had the pork sandwich with the baked beans and potato salad. He loved the sandwich. He said it had very good flavor. He also enjoyed the beans and potato salad, but said he missed having some bacon or ham in the beans.
