Stopped here for lunch on our way to Nashville, so glad we didn't settle for a fast food chain! When we walked in it smelled like heaven, smokey bbq goodness. Our family of four ordered lunch and drinks it was right around $40. All three girls ordered the pulled pork sandwich with different sides. I had hog fries, the others had Mac and cheese and potato salad. Hog fries are seasoned French fries, good. Mac and cheese pretty good a little on the dry side for my crew and we were split on the potato salad. I liked it, it has a surprising dill pickle taste to it. Kiddos and hubby said they didn't care for it. Generous portions of pulled pork, and a selection of four sauces-oh the sauces! I Tried them all except the super hot that is kept behind the counter. My favorite was the smokey one in the squeeze bottle, can't remember the exact name. Very friendly staff and over all great experience! read more

I was really disappointed after reading such good reviews, I expected more. I guess for a small town with limited choices people may find this place more appealing. When I entered and saw people with the risked sandwiches that looked really good I was encouraged. I ordered pulled pork sandwhich, beans and seasoned fries. I wanted dessert, but they don't serve any. The meat was wet as if it had been soaking in water and did not have a good smoke flavor and their sauce was not very good either. I may pop in next time through and give the brisket a try. read more

Excellent BBQ. My favorite part was.... everything. Highlights include: pulled pork, brisket, vinegar sauce (some of the best I've had) and the potato salad. Also guy behind the counter was extremely nice and gave us a sample of the potato salad before we decided to order it. All excellent. The place is a little tucked away from the main road and the sign is not the most prominent but it's definitely worth a trip over if you're passing by Franklin, KY on I-65. This is by far the best bbq I've had to date in ky. The pulled pork is the best I've had outside of my own. The brisket is wonderful tender and rubbed just right. And of course the sides hog fries, tater salad, bbq beans are great. If you can catch the owner and pit master when you visit he will answer any questions you have about smoking meat. In town for work and read all the positive yelp reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I stop at every local BBQ place I can find when I travel for work and this place is excellent. It's a little hard to find because it's off the main road but it's well worth the effort. My biggest complaint about most BBQ places is usually the sauces. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces and most places sauces taste like they are from a bottle. I tried every sauce they had and they are all excellent. They have a nice mixture with sauces ranging from mild to wildfire (it's behind the counter and u have to request it and it's very hot but has excellent flavor). They even have some vinegar based sauces that are excellent if that's what you prefer. No bottle sauces here, you can tell they are homemade. I got the beef brisket on Texas toast with hog fries and BBQ beans. Everything was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I don't write many reviews but when I find a hidden gem like this I like to let people know. That's how I find the best places on yelp from other people's reviews. I just wish I lived closer so I could make this a regular place to eat. I hope this review helps other yelpers and everyone enjoys it as much as I did. read more

We were traveling to Florida and found this place through Yelp. We had to make a couple mile detour and it seemed oddly located, but glad we did. We were not sure what to order but the owner was courteous and helpful. Everything was extremely tasty and reasonably priced. It was a good decision to stop here. read more

My husband and I are from Baldwin County AL. and were traveling through on our way to Louisville,KY and stopped at this little barbecue place called Wildfire Grill! We were greeted by locals entering who opened the door for us! Staff was friendly and restaurant had that small town local feel that just made you feel welcomed! Food was outstanding! They had just run out of the brisket which was what my husband ordered, but we both got the pulled pork sandwich and it was awesome! His food was perfect and ambiance was perfect after a long day of driving. We tried the ribs, brisket and pulled pork and all were OUTSTANDING. A must stop! 3 miles off of I-65. I must admit, when we pulled in we questioned whether to go in or not. It was a small pole barn, once inside there were approximately 4 booths and 4 tables. The owner was super friendly and made you feel at home. What the restaurant lacked in appearance was more than made up by quality and service. I'm a picky eater and this BBQ was awesome! If you like spicy ask for the wild fire sauce in the kitchen. When in the area, we will definitely stop there again. read more
