Right off Downtown Evergreen's quintessential Main Street sits the Wildflower Cafe. This cozy (and I mean tiny) cafe has an amazing assortment of bloody mary's and an incredible breakfast menu. My husband and me split the MASSIVE pancake and the chorizo breakfast skillet. The pancake was super fluffy and not too sweet. The skillet was so fresh and some of the best chorizo I've had. My husband, sister-in-law, and cousin and I were visiting from NY and stopped here on my birthday for breakfast. We were so happy with everything we ate, we each got a skillet. The drinks were even more impressive. Val was so sweet and even made us a shot called the duck fart which despite its name was so tasty. This review is for the Cajun night only. I hate to leave bad reviews but the food I had on Cajun night was extremely subpar. Everything was lukewarm and flavorless. The shrimp entree literally had 5 average sized shrimp. I appreciate the restaurant branching out and doing dinner service but this just wasn't successful. read more

Food was good but service was terrible! No one greeted us when we walked in - they walked by us several times until we said something. They could have said 'hello' or 'we'll be right with you' or even made eye contact. Something! Anything! Once seated the server was not friendly and we could hear her complaining to another table about her patience running low. She's in the wrong job if she doesn't want to take care of customers.... There are plenty of other restaurants in town to choose from that have a much nicer atmosphere and friendly staff. read more

This place is always packed and it's because the food is amazing and the service is outstanding. Front of house is a team of excellent women serving delicious, home cooked meals. I love their boozy brunch drinks, hot pancakes, and delicious sandwiches. They also source their burger meat from a local farm up the road. 10/10!! read more

Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. This place needs to become a chain or something cause I crave their food even after only 1 day! Some might complain about it being small, tight or slow service, but it's WORTH IT! The wild potato's are legendary! I'd pay to get them shipped to Minnesota! Chorizo skillet was full of flavor with still crispy potatoes mixed in with flavors that show the chefs genuinely know what they are doing when crafting a menu. Stuffed French toast is drool worthy! The food is fantastic, I might go there today for the full boat breakfast. The place needs a serious clean, and the wait staff seems burned out. The best potatoes around, and I don't eat potatoes. Second time in and I still love this little gem. Busy on MLK day just like any other day to be honest, but, didn't take long to get seated. Looked over the menu while I waited so I knew what I wanted. This visit was the breakfast sandwich w/a sub of avo for meat and the amazing potatoes. All for the low price of $7! Would have paid close to the same at a fast food joint for far less food and nowhere near as tasty. My greeter and waitress (yes, same gal) was amazing ~~ friendly and fast service considering the crowd. Took 1/2 of my English muffin and spread the fresh strawberry jam because I just had to try it ~ delish! Wildflower cafe was a place I spotted on yelp in my search for a breakfast place to stop on the way up to the mountains. It is located right off the main drag in Evergreen. Ample parking and super easy to find. It is also wedged in between some lovely shops if you feel like a morning window shopping. This place is super cute. They have fun quirky decor. It is a bit snug as the space is super small. This would be my only complaint as it can be a little uncomfortable. There are so many food items to choose from. It was really hard to pick just one. Because I had spotted some dank looking potato photos on yelp, I knew I would have to get something involved those starchy little discs. I went for the potato skillet, smothered with green chili and topped with eggs. IT was delicious. My dining partner enjoyed a similar dish. Both came out in a cute cast iron skillet. The potatoes are between in a chip and a hashbrown. Fried crispy golden and delish. Cant wait to come back to try more items on the menu. read more

Nothing short of amazing. We were in town for a wedding and went to Wildflower on recommendation of the happy couple. We were able to get 12 on the porch, had coffee next door while we waited for seating. Went on a Friday around 11:00. Place has VERY tight seating. Once you check in it's best to wait outside until someone leaves. Coffee was really good, omelet was great, potatoes were a pleasant surprise. Friend had biscuits and gravy which was an enormous plate of 4 biscuits and 2 or 3 scrambled eggs on top. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I was sure from the photos and reviews that I needed to try this place and I am so glad I did. It's small, REAL small, and hectic for breakfast but it's worth it. There is outdoor seating that looks like you can seat yourself - which I think is probably usually the case - but if they're on a wait you can't do that as I saw the gal working make a couple people get up. We're newbies so had no idea obviously and asked for a table for 4. There were two tables right beside one another outside and I was sitting at one - she asked me to get up to seat two people who had JUST walked up - which I did - then realized that I could've just told her we'd sit outside. So I was pissed about that. Another table got up and we grabbed that (now with three tables between us) and told her we'd like to sit outside. So we split into two groups of two and sat outside where we could people watch and it wasn't as hot and loud. I ordered a soy chai latte and it was AMAZEBALLS. YUM. I mentioned how much I loved it and the gal said it was just Oregon chai - but it tasted fab - so that's fine with me! It doesn't taste like that when I make it. lol. I ordered a veggie skillet with potatoes, eggs, cheese and avocado. My friend ordered the pancakes and a fruit cup. Her pancakes were DELICIOUS omg I loved them. The skillet delivered was wrong - it was a chicken fajita one with some sautéed peppers and onions - I started eating it bc I honestly couldn't remember what the hell I'd ordered and it was good - she came back and apologized and asked if I wanted my original order bc she'd brought the wrong one - so I said sure. Honestly, the wrong skillet was better than mine though both were very good. I should've stuck with that yummy chicken skillet with the veggies and avocado and eggs and potatoes! YUM! My other two friends at the distant table loved their meals as well - all was a success. Service was slightly slow and we did wait a while for seating and it was a bit confusing - but they were slammed and the gal waiting on us was friendly enough once we got seated. Eleven different kinds of bloody Mary's? Wow! The size of this place can hold that much bloody Mary's? :) It is truly a tiny place. About four tables tiny. The service is what's outstanding here. You will feel welcomed, loved and recognized here. You like being called your name when you leave? Come here! You will feel like you belonged. You needy bastard:) I had the chorizo skillet. I will have this again. My mind is still all over their over the top amount of bloody Mary's . For Mimosa loving folks like moi we have about five varieties. Yes I feel abandoned :) but my choice of La Chica mimosa was superb. A shot of hibiscus vodka will make me feel like I got you Bloody Mary people! Not for long though. I saw the Bloody Mary the neighboring table ordered and it brought me to my knees. This is where you get your darn Bloody Mary! So yeah you know someone who loves them so much? Drag them here! In town for a visit. Awesome lil location in evergreen with beautiful views. Unfortunately all of the views and just pure enjoyment of the day was downplayed due to service at this location. Took a bit to get seated which i wasnt mad about. Only one waitress who is very talkative and is slow to get back to you due to conversation with other patrons. Food took a LONG time to come out. Literally was an hour wait. Only 3 other tables besides us. We were not the only ones upset with wait time. People waited very long just to close out/be greeted after sitting/getting food. Kayla was our server and Josh i think the cook who also was talkative amongst guest which is why maybe the food took forever? Unfortunately that put a bad taste. Showed up and there was no wait. We got our drinks quick and even got my Bloody Mary served quickly. The Bloody Mary was good and was well made. The food took over 45mins to get and by the time we got the food we were past the hungry phase. We were told there were 3 orders to go that had to be taken care of first then our order would be finished and brought out to us. I would have thought that the people ordering in should get first priority, guess not. The food was good but the service was well below unacceptable. Other tables were being checked on but we had to stop the waitress to even get water. Overall the food was good, but not worth the wait and the poor service. My husband and I had come to visit Colorado Springs and Bailey from Dallas, TX. This was actually the day we were leaving but were hungry so decided to find a good brunch place. I just googled and we took a detour and soooo glad we did!! Evergreen is so beautiful and this place was so cute and great food! There was a little bit of a wait which we didn't mind. There was only one cook and one waitress(Kayla i think) and it was busy but she rocked it all by herself!!
