I was skeptical at first because I haven't colored my hair in over 14 yrs. but my virgin black hair desperately needed a change. When I went in, I showed Marina a picture of an ombré hair style I would've loved to have done. She ended up bleaching blonde balayage highlights into my natural black hair...nothing close to what I wanted. People told me that some of the highlights looked white and that my hair reminded them of a skunk. I let Marina know and she said it would cost $45 to tone it over. I didn't want to risk another hair failure so I decided to go to someone else to get my hair fixed and spend more money on top of what I had already spent on the Groupon plus the tip I gave Marina. On a positive note, I found another new hair stylist who fixed my hair and gave me the ombré look I desired.

I stated in my first review that though I didn't like the strange styling I thought Christina seemed like a nice person. After receiving her nasty and passive aggressive voicemail, basically blaming me for everything, I now may have changed my mind. Went in for a $35 any length blowout. Christina was my stylist, and though I think she seems like a nice person, didn't leave me looking very cute. I asked to be round brushed and to have curling ironed loose curls. She did round brush me, but then proceeded to very quickly gave me tight flat iron curls in random places. She asked if I wanted hairspray and I said NO. When I checked out, she charged me $45 instead of $35, not sure why. When I left I asked where was the closest place I could buy a curling iron (to obvious fix my strange hair style). Just disappointing to have to fix your hair after getting your hair done. Oh well.

I have found her to be very experienced, knowledgeable, offers me suggestions but doesn't push me to try something I am not comfortable with and I appreciate that. I usually just do a haircut but I have had my hair colored as well she did so well that I plan to see her soon and get some highlights for the summer. She explained everything to me one step at a time, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. She made sure I had consistent re-applications of numbing cream every time it wore off because it can be a bit painful. After the procedure, she gave me a take home care kit, a long with very detailed instructions on how to take care of my eyebrows. One month later, I came back for my touch up. I love that she makes sure that you have the right shape, length and color you want. They came out beautiful. Thank you Mandy! I will be referring all my friends and family here!

She takes her time to make sure the shapes of my brows will be precise. What I also loved was that she asked me how I want my brows shaped. She did wonderful to how I wanted them. Microblading is a long process. I was happy she took her time to make sure the measuring and the shaping process were perfect. She also explains to you how to take care of your eyebrows after she is done. I attached a picture of how my eyebrows came out after the process. I really highly recommend her if you are interested in this process.
