    Almond Tuna with Soup
    Gena D.

I tried the Almond Tuna and listen...the tuna itself was just... average. Nothing to write home about. BUT that bread. That bread carried the whole situation on its back like a champ. If the sandwich gets any love from me, it's strictly because of that bread. The Red Lentil Coconut soup was exactly what you'd expect...basic, standard, nothing hitting or memorable. I wanted flavor, depth, something, but it never showed up. Now the Salmon Alfredo... portion size had me excited, but the salmon itself was bland. The pasta was softer than I like...I'm an al dente girl...and the sauce was giving generic cheese sauce, not Alfredo. Again, the highlight was the garlic bread on the side. THAT was delicious. Now on to the sweets....aka my happy place. Chocolate chip cookie - Standard. Salted Caramel Pecan - Delicious. Shortbread cookie - Standard. Sour Cream Pecan Coffee Cake.Dry, mid and a "never again" for me. But The Royal Cookie...listen it was worth every bit of its $4.69 price tag. Rich delicious, and absolutely worth it. And can we talk about pricing...You can get three cookies for $3.29. In 2025, where everything is overpriced and underwhelming, that is a blessing. Single cookies are $1.19, but that 3-for-$3.29 deal! I'm choosing that all day, every day. Almond Tuna - 3 1/2 Stars Chocolate Chip Cookie - 3 1/2 Stars Garlic Bread -5 Stars Red Lentil Coconut - 3 Stars Salmon Alfredo - 3 1/2 Stars Salted Caramel Pecan - 5 Stars Shortbread Cookie - 31/2 Stars The Royal - 5 Stars

Went in and my order wasn't ready so I went through the doorway to the bookstore next door for a bit. Came back and my order was ready but I took the opportunity to check out some of what they had since I normally only ever get the chicken Ceasar salad. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The place was clean and SO inviting. All of the desserts were calling my name by I declined. I got the italiano sandwhich and it it was awesome and my girlfriend got the salmon pasta and she said it was very good. I will definitely come back if for no other reason, the service!

Cinco de Mayo 2025.. Almost 7 p.m. Sat at table that had crumbs on it still but dismissed it since there didnt appear to be any smudges, smears, whatever. While dining we observed tables, one directly beside us, another along the wall of Changing Hands and a third in middle of dining area, being cleared after customers left. Plates and Utensils removed, S&P and table tent placed in center of table. Table never got wiped down with anything.

The food is great and the price is fair. My son got the BLT and I tried the lasagna and it was 10/10. Better than the fancy Italian restaurant down the street.

Half soup/salad combo - forest mushroom soup and Asian salad
    Vivian H.

Running around doing a lot of holiday errands and needed some food as I was headed to Changing Hands next door. I've never tried this place, but was always curious about it when I went to the bookstore, so today I had an opportunity to try it out. You order at the register, take a number to your table, and someone brings out your food. I had the combo 1/2 soup and 1/2 salad. I chose the Asian salad with peanut dressing on the side and had a bowl of the forest mushroom soup. The mushroom soul was fantastic with big chunks of mushroom in it and I loved this! The salad was ok and could have used some protein like tofu or chicken and the lettuce was a bit wilted, but it was a good salad. I also had a bottle of Topo Chico with a twist of lime but for $3.50, I think I will pass next time. Place is clean with plenty of seating inside and out. They tout using fresh and healthy ingredients, so this place is pretty clean eating, which I like. Every once in awhile, I'll stop in here again and definitely when I want to have a soup as they have many many options! Great place to meet friends or come solo.

Ham and Swiss cheese sandwich on Rye with homemade chips.

My wife and I came for a late lunch / early dinner. She got a bowl of Tomato Feta Cheese soup and half Turkey cheese sandwich with cranberry sauce. I got the bowl of Potato soup and full Ham and Swiss cheese sandwich which came with chips and a soda fountain drink. Food came quickly and was very delicious. A little disappointed that the turkey sandwich cranberry sauce was actually only a cranberry spread, but it was still good. The sandwiches were STUFFED with meat and very filling. The soups were delicious and mine came with their excellent bread. Lots of staff around keeping the tables clean and everyone was very nice. Just the bowls of soup and bread could fill you up but the sandwiches are scrumptious.

    Disappointing lasagna.

This is my second disappointing meal at one of two Wildflowers I've been to recently. There's been a real drop in quality and portions. I used to really enjoy these restaurants but the undersized lasagna with dried out brittle edges, overcooked sauce and meager layers of meat and cheese has convinced me its best days are in the past.

Definitely not even an attempt at toasting
    Alisha O.

A friend mentioned they have a great BLT, so I decided to try it out. Very disappointing that though the menu online says toasted, and shows toasted bread, it wasn't. A BLT on untoasted bread just isn't right. Unfortunately I had done pickup so by the time I noticed, not much to do about it. I also got a sweet potato side, which was tasty, but quite expensive at $5ish for at best 1/3 cup sweet potato.

I got the bang bang shrimp and it was good (6/10). The problem that I have is the pistachio gin fizz was an absolute no! I am a HUGE fan of pistachio and gin so immediately I had to get his drink but it was beyond mediocre. Are we drinking only syrup??? My last complaint is the coconut tres leches dessert.... Do we actually know how to make tres leches or we just naming desserts however we want? Just curious. It came out super hot, steaming more like a molten cake. As a Hispanic woman, I was expecting a creamy moist cake to celebrate my graduation but this was not it as well. Last but not least if the bald manager with the orange shirt wants to eat in the back of the kitchen, not the problem I get it (I work at restaurants) HOWEVER shoving your two index fingers into your mouth to get your debris out was my last straw. Like I said I like this restaurant and never had problems but today felt like a fever dream there.

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. Not sure if she was just not paying attention, the music was too loud, or didnt want to converse with us. Sort of awkward. Overall, the experience was mixed, but the butter cake French toast was delicious.

We were drinking mimosas, eating, talking, and taking our time, and I really appreciated that we never once felt rushed to leave or pressured to keep ordering. A lot of places start making you feel awkward if you stay too long, but the service here stayed friendly and attentive the entire time we were there. The mimosas were honestly one of my favorite parts because they had so many different fresh juice flavors to choose from instead of just the typical orange juice. It made the experience feel way more fun and customizable, and you could actually taste how fresh the juices were. Every mimosa we tried was refreshing and super easy to drink. The food was also really good and paired perfectly with the drinks. Everything tasted fresh and well-made, and it all came out quickly even though the place was busy. I also loved that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating because it gives the place such a nice vibe depending on what kind of experience you want. My husband and I found this place online, and it looked like a great spot for brunch. When we arrived, there was no one at the hostess stand, and it took quite a while for anyone to acknowledge us. When the hostess finally came over, we asked for a table for two. She immediately told us there was only outdoor seating available and didn't even mention that waiting for an indoor table was an option. Keep in mind, it was 110°F on a Sunday in Arizona. My husband had really been looking forward to trying this place, so we asked what was available and decided to stay. We were seated outside near the entrance. Shortly afterward, we watched the hostess tell other guests who arrived after us that indoor seating was available with only a 5-minute wait. Why wasn't that option offered to us? We absolutely would have waited. Unfortunately, the hostess's attitude and the way the situation was handled completely changed the experience for us. It left us feeling unwelcome, and we weren't able to enjoy our meal the way we had hoped. The food may have been fine, but customer service is a huge part of dining out, and this experience overshadowed everything else. Safe to say, we won't be returning. An unfriendly and dismissive environment is not something I'm interested in supporting.

We were welcomed with a friendly smile. We explained that the other half of our party was on their way & the host promptly prepared our table... mostly. Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask.
