I've had the pleasure of dining at this Biscuits twice now - once a few weeks ago, and once this morning. My first experience was pretty amazing. The service was on point, the coffee was hot, and their signature biscuits and gravy ROCKED. The biscuit was big and deliciously savory, and the sausage gravy was stellar. I usually judge new places by how good their biscuits and gravy is, and Biscuits did NOT disappoint. This morning I went with their breakfast burrito (I added both sausage and bacon). The tortilla was SO GOOD. they grilled it so it was nice and toasty when it arrived. The eggs were really good, too. I do wish it had more sausage, but it was still flavorful. The one thing I will say is they LOADED the burrito with cheese and it was a bit overwhelming. Next time, I'll ask for light cheese. The place was spotless both times I was there, and the booths are comfortable and cozy. The prices are also a bit below average, in my opinion, and I do feel like you get what you pay for - their portions are pretty big. They do also offer a cash discount, so keep that in your noggin. So interesting when I looked up this restaurant prior to going it appeared as though there were many gluten-free options. But be aware that the varying biscuit restaurants have different menus or server told us no they don't offer gluten-free specific items because when they did, they didn't sell well. It was very busy the morning we came service was quick and overall eggs and bacon and hashbrowns were fine. Typical breakfast food. Having passed by this place every time on the way to the gym, I figured after an hour of a torturous massage, it was time to give this place a try. For $8.99, I got plate of biscuits and gravy and for that price, I definitely wasn't mad. It was great actually! Been going here for about 10 years never ever had a bad meal. There wait staff are efficient and fast Even with the small restaurant they use the space and give enough room so you are not too close to the other diners. I can understand why places charge more if you use your debit or credit card, they are being charged by the company they use for there transactions, but I feel that I am getting either ripped off or penalize because at this day and age who has cash, I never do. We had breakfast at the Biscuit Cafe in Chandler Az. a few weeks ago and we loved the breakfast, our first time. The biscuits were hot, fluffy and fresh, The potatoes were seasoned perfectly. A great place for the first time. We were looking for just the place and came upon this place by accident. Then we went back and a completely different experience. Did the cook quite, did someone loose the recipe for the biscuits ( which were old and dry ) , did they forget to season the potatoes. Well sadly I need to remove all stars from my previous review. I couldn't be more disappointed in the experience that we had here today. Walked in and smiled at the hostess. If she'd had any less energy she'd have been in a coma. Seriously. She never said hello, never smiled, just grabbed four menus and started walking to a table. Are we to follow? We presumed so and did so. She put the menus in front of us and asked in a whisper what we wanted to drink. I seriously was worried for her and wondering what burden she might have been carrying that would have her show up at her customer service job in this manner. Some time later a young man comes to take our order but we need just a couple more minutes. Well a couple more minutes turns into a good 10-15 minutes and I've caught his eye at least twice trying to signal that we are ready. Each time he ignores me and goes to a different table. Meanwhile, coma girl seats another customer at the table next to us in the same manner - no greeting at the door and a quiet ask for his drink order. He asks for sweet tea. She walks into the kitchen and comes back to say that they don't have sweet tea. Uhm... honey! Did you not remember that from just earlier when you checked for us??? HoHum. Meanwhile, our waiter comes to this new man's table to take his order, I smile again to signal we are also ready and he walks away again! So now we are frustrated. I say, excuse me and call him over and he stands there like 'huh?' So my son says can we just pay for the drinks we ordered because we are leaving and there is zero attempt to ask why, understand our experience, or make it right for the customer. He says sure and starts to ring up the drinks that WE HAVEN'T TOUCHED! Nope... I said sir, I'm not paying for drinks that I've not touched and he says, no problem, I'll take care of it. We were seated as soon as we got in on a Friday morning and our drinks were served to us right after. Their menu has breakfast and lunch options. I ordered the Denver omelette special - one of the best omelettes I have ever had. We decided to eat outdoors since the weather was good and not too hot yet. Our server came out quickly and we chatted with her for a bit. I wish I remembered her name. We've seen her over the years but we are bad with names. She told us the patio was built during covid to serve guests. We appreciate this! This a great place for breakfast and brunch. They have been around for 10 years. There are multiple locations. It is very busy so make sure you allow plenty of time. The staff was awesome. They all worked together. I could tell they liked each other. When everyone is helping to clear tables and seat patrons it shows teamwork. Biscuits offers many choices of food either for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The portions are big and yummy. Their breakfast potatoes are delicious. They had right amount of kick to it. I like to bring my son here from time to time...its kinda tradition. This place never disappoints and my experience here is always a great one. I highly recommend this restaurant. Luis is fantastic, the guy will make sure you are satisfied with your meal and drinks. From the moment you walk in the door he is there to great everyone and give you the best service possible. I had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs over easy. The biscuit was great, gravy not too bad. A tad bit of pepper livened it up a bit. Front desk folks were pleasant and prompt; foodserver was reasonably prompt, considering they were pretty busy. Reasonable prices, and certainly very good food. Definitely a place for "locals" in that you could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. We live nearby and will be back as well. The portions on the meals we ordered were pretty big and very good. The burger was nice and juicy. The steak was good, I got it with a biscuit which was nice and soft. I really wanted to try their biscuits and gravy and was given a little dish of gravy, gravy wasn't that great which was disappointing. I think next time I'll get an actual full order instead.
