The service was extremely slow, with 20-30 minute waits between drinks and very little attention from the staff throughout the evening. The food in the tavern was equally disappointing--easily the worst meal we've had there over the past 20 years. The quality and execution were nowhere near the standard we had come to expect from CBI. In fact, the experience was so underwhelming that we ended up leaving hungry and going home to eat. For a venue with such a strong reputation, it was genuinely surprising and disappointing. We're hopeful this was an isolated issue and that management can get things back on track. CBI was once a five-star destination that consistently delivered exceptional experiences. Until we see signs that things have improved, however, we won't be returning.

Sorry, but I've been coming here for 45 years and nothing's changed. Cottage grove cottages are impeccable. This is a quiet refuge from kiddos. Sorry, but that's my take on it. There is no pool, no playground, none of that. Plenty of those elsewhere and that's where the kids are. Go enjoy that if that is what you need. This is quiet and wonderful for adults, couples, singles, artists, empty nesters or anyone wanting to get away from screaming, kids crying and yelling, parents, cursing, car horns.... Ah. Back to serenity. Isn't that better? This is the best there is. Close enough to PTown, Wellfleet and Truro.
