When she brought out his mac & cheese, she called him up to eat, joking she was going to eat it if he didn't come quick. She saved us the hassle of attempting to get him up from the beach. She also took him to wash his hands before eating, as he had sand all over them. It was such a pleasant experience, with great food. The Spa fortunately corrected their error when my son showed his confirmation. The Spa offered a later time. *Working undercounter room refrigerators. Ours was not working. *There was a blown transformer in the area that impacted the room of two in our group. Communication is key during power outage events such as this during record heat. The power outage also impacted the plumbing in their building. Several nights comped eased the pain! The location, hydrangeas, decor, ambiance... it's nice. We had our 1.5year old daughter, 4 adults, and a few hours of time we were hoping to burn on the patio bar. We snagged a patio table overlooking the sunset around 3:30. My daughter was able to move around, we got to enjoy the beautiful weather, and it was very comfortable to relax outdoors. Three watermelon margaritas later and pizzas started coming out of the oven. Pizzas were actually very delicious - at least the best pizza you could find anywhere on the cape. If you have a chance to spend an afternoon with drinks and pizzas on the patio, I highly recommend.

Each cottage is appointed with everything, outdoor showers, bbq grill even charcoal to get you started. And they are Clean. This matters. Some cape cabins or rooms tend to be musty or messy. Sorry, but I've been coming here for 45 years and nothing's changed. Cottage grove cottages are impeccable. This is a quiet refuge from kiddos. Sorry, but that's my take on it. There is no pool, no playground, none of that. Plenty of those elsewhere and that's where the kids are. Go enjoy that if that is what you need. This is quiet and wonderful for adults, couples, singles, artists, empty nesters or anyone wanting to get away from screaming, kids crying and yelling, parents, cursing, car horns.... Ah. Back to serenity. Isn't that better? This is the best there is. Close enough to PTown, Wellfleet and Truro. We spent the week here in the Beach House and it was paradise. Our own patio, steps onto the beach with a breathtaking view was just what the doctor ordered. We were greeted warmly and brought to our room upon arrival and were on the beach lounging within minutes. The owner, Peter, was always around working on something! It is super clear he loves what he does and cares deeply about his guests. He gave us some great recommendations for eateries (devils purse brewery being my favorite!) and always was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Each morning from 8-10 they serve a nice continental breakfast. My husband and I were go each morning, eat and then take a nice long walk on the beach with our coffee. The private beach already has chairs and umbrellas so no need to bring your own, they set them up each morning and take them down each evening. The inn is also within walking distance to many great shops/restaurants. We went to many of them! The kite shop was super cool and we were able to grab souvenirs for the littles back home. After dinner, come back to the inn for a fire on the patio! I very much hope to return here. I am so thankful we found this and splurged for the beach house room! This was by all measures the best B&B experience we have ever had and we highly recommend. The room was beautiful, quiet, spotless, and comfortable. The main house was warm and welcoming on a cool and blustery day. We were too late for tea but were pointed to several local eateries and had a great time strolling the main drag after a satisfying meal. The sit-down breakfast offered a broad menu of delicious food options served with smiles and timeliness. We would definitely return.

It is an extremely casual counter service restaurant that focuses mostly on fried seafood. They also serve other local staples like clam chowder and a lobster roll that I did not try but is very reasonably priced. The service is good and I was surprised (it was actually pretty cool) to hear some good reggaeton from the early 2000s be the music of choice. If you're from Miami you know what I mean. The fish n chips is very good. Of course, it's on the heavy side (you habe to be okay with that) but tastes great. The fisherman's platter is rather large and the fried scallops are particularly delicious.
