the food was good. my boyfriend got the fried clams and a lobster roll. he really liked them. i don't eat seafood so i just got the sweet potato fries, they were fine. the issue i have is the service. whoever the girl was at the cash register on 7/5 around 1;30pm, needs an attitude adjustment. so rude and left a bad taste in my mouth. rolling her eyes and the tone in her voice, so weird for an adult to act like that. ruined the experience and will not be back lol. read more

Our current top choice for lobster rolls ($25) on the Cape Cod Orleans area! Piles of fresh chunks of body and claw meat in a fresh roll. I just kept thinking about all the work to get the meat out of the shell.... Great crispy French fries and onion rings. This is a hole in the wall restaurant with amazing food. They have fried fish, calamari, clam and all sorts for seafood including lobster roll. Not a fancy restaurant but amazing food quality. The portion size was very generous. They do not have table service but someone will bring your food to the table. Take out is probably most common for this place. Interestingly they do not add tips on the receipt - they really deserve tips!! read more

Really great food and at prices not seen anywhere else on Cape now. Three adults shared the large fisherman's platter, a medium clam strip and a cup of chowder. All delicious. The chowder is not the thick stew but flavorful soup. The fry on the fish is light and crunchy. The clam strips were perfect as were the scallops and shrimp. Stopped in for take out. Order a large fish and chips and a small fried shrimp. The fish is battered so the coating is thicker rather than thin but tasty and not greasy. Shrimp were very tasty. Fries were good. We reheated everything at high temp for a few minutes in the oven which worked great. The sign says they provide tartar and/or cocktail sauce with the order. I wanted extra so served some to myself but was clear this was in addition, not instead of. Glad I did because when we got home, the containers I filled were the only ones we had. Overall, a very good experience and we will go back. read more

I love this Hidden Gem in Orleans, MA! We went there because it was voted Top 10 Fish and Chips in Massachusetts and it did not disappoint. The fish was very crispy and the cole slaw was very nicely done as well. The prices were extremely reasonable for the area and highly recommended. There are very few tables, but most people buy for takeout as people were coming and going in and out all night. We did eat at the place, but probably not a place to hang out, mostly to eat the fish fresh on the spot, pay a low price and go for drinks after in the area. Best lobster rolls ever. Just large chunks of fresh lobster with a little mayo on a top split hot dog bun (no celery/lemon/lettuce). We stop every year on Cape for a round of lobster rolls and haddock chowder, then head to a local lookout, beach or park to enjoy lunch. Price goes up every year of course, but still cheaper than most, and the tastiest. Sister locale Young's is also a good stop, with a smaller menu but equally delicious lobster rolls. read more

Solid 4.5 stars, only reason why they lose half a star is because they don't have the option for warm lobster roll. They only serve the New England Style roll, which is delicious and comes with A LOT of lobster meat, but I wish there was an option for a warm, buttered lobster roll as well. Been here twice now and the seafood is decent but not amazing. Our favorite seafood restaurant closed and we ended up here because it was only of the few restaurants open. It has a small dining in seating area and just one picnic table outside. Got the Fisherman's Platter and split it between two of us. There was only 3 fried scallops in our platter. The clams were whole belly's. And the fried fish was odd - the batter coating in the fish was soft and almost soggy like. Decently New England style clam chowder. And I thought the food prices weren't outrageous. I think the fisherman's platter was about $27 (give or take a dollar). I know back at home you'll be paying $33+ for a platter like this with whole belly clams. read more

This is the best cold lobster roll on the Cape, in my opinion. I actually prefer hot with melted butter. But when I have a craving for cold, I go to Sir Cricket's. Why? Note that there is no celery, just mayo. Other places put a huge, thick lettuce leaf in there, taking up room and therefore you get less lobster meat. Sir Cricket has no ridiculous lettuce and celery. It's just fresh lobster meat and lots of it. Served with bag of Cape Cod Chips. Very good onion rings and clam chowder. Soda machine if you need that. Water dispenser on counter. Tartar sauce and cocktail sauces in little tubs to grab. Lobster roll is 14.95 an extra 3 dollars for fries and slaw. Very good deal and fresh from the lobster pool next door. Sometimes they have the Crab roll. Amazing. Once I had the Crabster: yes. Crab and lobster mixed and heaped heavily in the roll. Only lucky to hit that once when I guess that was in season. 5 small tables inside. One picnic table outside. read more

Lobster roll was good ($20) and had a lot of lobster. It was really creamy but it didn't have the oil coating after you eat it. I recommend squeezing a little lemon on top and it definitely enhances the flavor. Also had fisherman's plate. The oysters in there wasn't my favorite but the fish and shrimp was good but a little soggy. The chips surprisingly still had some crunch to it. I recommend eating fisherman's plate ($30) in to prevent things to get soggy. Also got clam chowder ($7 for a bowl) and was really good! It's creamy and there's a hint of sourness but overall really good! A decent amount if clams in there as well. Service was fast and there's a small fish market right next door which is also part of the same hidden spot. If you visit the fish market, grab dip and baguette ($15 total)! read more

Fantastic scallops, lobster rolls and chicken tenders. A small place so I normally get the food to go. Call ahead, pop in and take the food back to the house or the beach. The service is quick and polite. The owners have run this place for as long as I can remember. A tried and true seafood spot for decades. During busier hours call in the order to beat the line. While on vacation I was in Orleans and stopped into Sir Cricket's. It was early and the very small dining area was deserted. I pondered the large menu board behind the counter and decided on fried clams to go. The girl who waited on me was friendly and the food came out quickly. Tartar and cocktail sauce and lemon wedges are available for you to dispense and take with your order. I like that. Far too many times have I not gotten enough tartar or cocktail sauce when ordering take out. The lemon was a nice touch. The clams were fried to a golden brown and were nice, small and tender. I would definitely return. read more

The baked scallop special was also really good. Burgers are large and everyone in our party who ordered one had to take a portion home. Fish and chips looked great. Our server was super friendly and spent a good amount of time with my 93 yr old MIL. Recommend for the food/decor and atmosphere are average at best.

I ended up with a half dozen Wellfleet oysters, which were substantial (2 year olds?), fresh, and briny -- exactly what you want in a Wellfleet. The only downside: They came with a lot of shell bits in the brine. I get that these oysters are hard to shuck since they have those rough, irregular shells (a result of being buffeted by the rough waves in this area). But I can do a better job when I have my good shucking knife on me and I am far from an expert shucker. A Caribbean fish soup / stew was also quite enjoyable, though my impolite and poorly-brought-up progeny made gagging noises when I opened up the container of soup in the car. I guess he thought it smelled unpleasantly fishy. :) He did quite enjoy a creme brulee we found in a refrigerated case in the market, however. Pleasant outdoor seating; delicious-looking menu (some of which isn't as ridiculously overpriced as it is in much of the Cape); pristinely fresh seafood; and super nice staff. But I was a little surprised by how long it took for us to receive the soup, which presumably had already been prepared, when it wasn't busy at all. (I think it took about 15 minutes!)

There are multiple different seating options, everything from an outdoor patio to high top bar seats, tables, and the indoor booth seating which is what we selected. The dining room is comfortable, and with open windows it provided a nice breath of fresh air. We started with the seafood sampler, a wonderful combination of fresh and delicious shellfish (clams, oysters, shrimp and a lobster tail). We then split appetizers instead of entrees, having the tuna tartare and the Chatham mussels, both of which were excellent. There was some minor room for improvement - after we were done with our seafood sampler, we sat for about 10 minutes while our server Danielle seemed to be in an enthusiastic conversation with Caroline out in front of the restaurant. It provided for some interesting dinner theater, but with so many other employees standing around, it probably would have been an ideal opportunity for somebody else to chip in and take over. Also, the mussels came in a wonderful wine / garlic sauce - some bread would have been a thoughtful addition to soak up that wonderful broth. Fortunately the quality of the food and the vibe of the restaurant more than compensated for a couple of service issues - we visited in late May, so hopefully by the time this restaurant hits the busy season, they'll have the issues worked out. Overall, I would certainly not hold back from referring this restaurant.

When we arrived, we were not sure whether we wanted to sit indoors or outside. The owner, Caroline, was so gracious and gave us a little tour of all of the seating options and we loved that. We decided on a booth in the indoor dining room and it ended up being a great choice with nice music playing there. The menu has plenty of seafood appetizers and entrees. We started with the seafood sampler and it did not disappoint. It had shrimp, lobster, oysters and clams. Our next appetizer was the steamed mussels dish, another great dish. Our final appetizer was the tuna tartar, at the recommendation of our server, Danielle. It was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place.
