We hired Wildlife Management Services (WMS) to address a mouse issue in our attic. While their rodenticide treatment initially appeared effective, it ultimately created a much larger and more costly problem. WMS uses bait stations but does not return to remove the dead rodents or the bait itself. As a result, the rodents left behind in our attic became a food source for carpet beetle larvae. This led to a carpet beetle infestation that has since spread into our home. A reputable pest control company confirmed this outcome, noting that it can take up to two years to surface, which aligns with our experience. After multiple treatments, we've been advised that the only way to fully resolve the issue is to eliminate the larvae source by completely removing and replacing the attic insulation--an extremely expensive solution. When I contacted WMS to share this outcome so they could be aware and potentially adjust their practices, the manager dismissed the concern and was unwilling to engage in a constructive conversation. When she asked what I expected them to do and I suggested they educate themselves on this risk, she ended the call. I called back, assuming we had been disconnected, but she hung up again. I hired Wildlife Management Services when I purchased their Platinum Animal Protection package for $1000. The package offers complete interior and exterior inspection for entry ways for pests and sealing those holes. It also has a year guarantee to remove any animals that enter the house. They were here in September for the initial inspection and to get rid of a squirrel. Since then they've been back to fill more entry points they missed on the other visits resulting in us having 3 squirrels, 4 mice and a bat. Christina, their manager, refused to honor the plan in removing the mice - demand over $300 more to poison the mice instead of trap and get rid of them (as covered in the plan). I've asked for the owner to call but either the request isn't being relayed or they just don't care. I've since hired a different company who got rid of the mice and sealed more holes WMS had missed in their various visits. While the technicians are nice, they clearly didn't seal the entry points throughout their numerous visits, and the company refuses to honor its contract. There are many options out there - Steer clear of Wildlife Management Services! read more

Their pricing is borderline usurious. $400 to have someone come and spend 15 minutes looking at your house. Sure, they will tell you up front that's the price - but what they don't tell you is how little value they actually provide for that fee. I had naively assumed there must be *something* they would do to earn that money. I was wrong. When the same thing happens to you, don't say I didn't warn you. After calling to complain they offered to lower the invoice to $300, which was still $250 more than the services they provided were worth. I asked Christina if she thought the services they provided were worth $400. She said that wasn't the point - the point was that they were clear how much it would cost up front. She can run her business however she'd like. I paid the full $400. There are more fun ways to light $400 on fire than calling these people. read more

Short version: My experience is that this business's billing practice is unethical. The company attempted to bill me $396.77--the equivalent of $800/hour for less-than-30 minutes of "work." I was very dissatisfied with the "work" that incurred. Longer version: I've never written a public review before. But my experience with this company's billing (and in-person) practice felt so unethical that I am compelled to warn other unsuspecting customers. I requested Wildlife Management Services' (WMS) professional services because we couldn't get rid of an underground yellow jacket hive and we were concerned about the mice living in the rock infrastructure just outside of our home. After talking on the phone with the residential services representative, I expected the WMS professional to excavate and remove the hive and provide professional expertise regarding the mice. Instead, the professional spent a few seconds (a minute?) of labor spraying underground with the bug spray. He then provided an assessment of our mouse situation (after independently assessing the outside of our home) and suggested potential future services. My big issue here: Within this conversation, I needed to ask the WMS professional several times--and reframe my inquiries several times--before he would confirm that the rodents would not enter our home. This was frustrating, as I clearly expressed - if the mice weren't going to come into the house, we were fine to leave them as is. His responses were so opaque that if I didn't keep following up, he was leading me to invest in future services. This was unethical business practice. I recognize that there was expertise and professional equipment and chemicals involved in the above-mentioned services, but $800/hour was an unreasonable and unethical charge. When I called to contest my bill, the WMS representative almost immediately lowered the bill. This acknowledgement points to the wrongness of this charge. We went back and forth a few times, with the representative stating that the revised bill (and subsequent revised bills) were the absolute "lowest" that could be charged. After some calm conversation, the representative lowered the bill two subsequent times. read more

I hired this company to help with a mouse problem. They came out on 11/21/19 and only "looked"at the outside; not the inside. Then I received a bill for $384.58 for their assessment! I also received what they would charge to seal up some gaps for an additional $1,848.98!! They did absolutely nothing to earn the $384.58!! This is outrageous!! Be sure to get all pricing confirmed up front. They charge almost twice as much as other reputable services just for the initial inspection. They also added on several hundred dollars worth of "preventative" services disguised as line items on the quote they give you. I had an issue with bats in the attic. They came and made the initial repairs several months ago and then I didn't hear from them for several months. A technician showed up at my house yesterday, I assumed to check on the bat exclusion work, but it turns out he was placing rodent traps around the exterior of the house. I informed him that we had bats not mice. After questioning him for a bit he admitted that the nearly $200 charge was a preventative service they added to the bill. To be fair, when I informed him that I did not authorize that work, he took it off the bill. I received my final bill today, and that service was removed, but they did add a $150 charge for wasp removal, which I was unaware that I had and did not authorize removal. They close at 4pm, so I guess I will have to use my lunch break tomorrow to figure out what that is about... read more

Eli came out promptly after my first call, assessed the situation and applied the first treatment for an obvious mole issue (a repeat of one we had last summer). As promised, he returned nearly three weeks, again assessed the situation and applied the second treatment. He said things look good and the problem and the problem seems to be taken care of. After their first visit, (mice) and informing us what needed to be done, they came blocked all the holes, the first night the "mouse" was very active in our basement, which we were warned about, because it was trapped inside. Once that bugger was trapped we have not seen or heard a mouse for over two years. They come on a regular service schedule to check the outside bait traps! We would highly recommend this company, after years of fighting mice, they completely took care of the issue. read more

Charged me $250 to tell me we had bats in our attic. Then handed me a $1,200 quote to get rid of them. I found this to be incredibly unethical. I recommend avoiding this company. There are plenty of other exterminators and animal control businesses who will only charge you when they are able to do the work. read more

Used these folks MANY years ago. Some starlings had knocked off a shingle and made a nest. Inspection noted unsealed attic with.... I didn't want to know, and minimal old insulation. They cleaned, sealed, blew in eco insulation. We have been over a decade now warm and... quiet. VERY nice, full confidence in their abilities and knowledge. Now its has been cold and mice are trying to find shelter. I can not have chemicals, or anything that might hurt my cats. Guess who I'm going to call? read more

We used this company to take care of nesting barn swallows. They were to install a removable netting. April 15th 2015 is when they said they would be in and needed 3 days. It is now May 1st 2015 and half of the job is complete. After countless phone calls and emails, I've come to one conclusion. The only thing they will give you is headaches and excuses. I would never EVER EVER use this company for anything. Inept and horrible customer service skills. I've worked with 100's of contractors and this company by far is the absolute worst one ever in all my years of industry work. read more

I had a great experience with this company. We called them to help us with a raccoon situation and they were everything would hope for. Very responsive (my single area of improvement is that I wish they could have come out the day I called, but they came out the very next morning), professional, patient with explanations, thorough with options, reasonably priced and well explained beforehand, and kind to the animals. Wayne was our guy and he was a pleasure to work with. He was even great with questions that our child had about the wellbeing and future of the mother and pups. They'll be my first call should I need this type of service again, and will happily refer them to friends. read more

Disappointing They did what they said they would do, technically. I was initially taken aback by the high priced inspection ($240); however, felt much better when I was told they would seal up the entry way the mice were using. Instead of fixing the known entry point (which was a more complex fix), the technician filled a hole in some other part of the house where the mice were not getting in. So, in the end, we paid $240 dollars for someone to tell us what we already knew (the siding needed to be repaired, set bait traps) and spend five minutes filling in a hole that we could have easily done ourselves (and was unrelated to the current problem). You could get the same for a lot cheaper with Rainbow or Plunkett's. read more

Called on a Monday and received a quote for $259 for full house "inspection," (I'll explain the quotes later) setting of traps and subsequent checking of traps for a full week. Technician came out the next day and the inspection consisted of looking around in the attic and walking around the outside of the house. Since we ended up having bats and they couldn't do anything until spring, we got a bid for future work. They still charged us the $259. Basically what we paid for was a bid. Unheard of in any industry! We called to ask about this a couple of days later, and they refused to do anything, refund us money or credit us for the future work. I have no beef with the technician. She seemed to be thorough and respected our house; she seemed to be clear when explaining what needed to be done in the future. However, this paying for a bid business is ridiculous and the follow-up customer service was abysmal. I'm writing this review as an electrician. Yes, I charge a lot for my labor, because it's specialized and a lot goes into, not only the tools I use, but my education and training, as well. As a skilled trades laborer, I believe the folks that make our homes safe and healthy for us deserve to get paid well. But I would never charge a customer for a bid, a bid which includes coming to the customer's house to see what the customer wants and to see what sort of time and materials it would take for me to do the job well. That is what Wildlife Management Services "inspection" entails. And that is what I was charged an ungodly amount for. read more

This seemed like a money making scheme to me. I called them after hearing a squirrel rustling around in one of our walls. I wanted someone to live trap the animal and remove it. Instead of cutting a hole in the wall and taking it out that day, they wanted to set traps on my roof and wait and charge me $69 for every squirrel they captured and relocated, even the ones that weren't getting into the wall. After 2 days WMS came back when I called to complain about the smell coming from our wall. The animal had clearly died while they were waiting to catch some some other squirrels in an effort to make a couple hundred extra dollars. At least they didn't catch any squirrels that I had to pay for because then I would've been really annoyed. All in all, I ended up with a hole in my wall and a dead animal (when I called them hoping they could get it out alive). read more

Very disappointed with the company - they charged me $400 for a service they never even completed. I called to have them remove a muskrat that had been digging holes in the yard. When I called initially, I asked if there was a guarantee of some sort and was told that, since kill traps are used, there would be "no way" that the animal would return to my yard. The whole reason I went with this company is because it seemed like the service was guaranteed. They removed the trap after only three weeks, without catching the muskrat. I have seen it in my yard on three different occasions since the trap was removed a month ago. This wouldn't be a big deal if they were willing to come out and finish the job I had hired them to do, but they refused and now they are charging my $400 for a service that wasn't even completed. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere for services and I know I will never be doing business with them again. read more
