Wildroot Salon is in a great building with tons of natural light. I really loved the openness of the salon and the comfy vibe. They are an Aveda salon with product. Mathew was my stylist and I am the type of client that needs a professional that's confident; I am the client that says: 'I don't know what I want to do' or 'whatever you think' and this can make some stylists crazy. Mathew didn't blink and simply took over with his skills and knowledge making some magic happen. I have long hair (and I am lazy when it comes to grooming it) so Mathew gave me an updated look that I could handle. I didn't have to show him a photo or pick a color he just got a sense of who I was and ran with it. I have received so many compliments (blushing). In fact, I don't trust any other person with my hair, and it's because of her that I am always getting compliments on my style and color. I have really stubborn black dark Asian hair and she managed to work her magic and give gorgeous highlights all over! Guys, I cannot say enough good things about Wildroot Salon. The space is so cute and I love the smell of Aveda which is diffused. I've been on the hunt for a salon closer to my house, and I can say the hunt is finally over. Wildroot is truly an experience. Mathew is awesome. I just got a haircut from Ruth and I'm sooo happy! This is the best haircut that I have ever gotten. I was nervous because I had a date afterwards. I thought I might have to run home and shower and fix it because I *always* loathe the way my hair looks right after a cut (and I also tend to hate the way they style it). BUT - It looked so good! As far as atmosphere is concerned, I've never felt so comfortable at a salon before. There's always the happy chatter of clients talking with their stylists, hot tea and Aveda products to browse. First off, this is an Aveda salon so naturally smells phenomenal. The overall ambiance and lighting feels relaxing. It's definitely a nice spot to spend a few hours getting your hair colored. :-) In addition to the great overall atmosphere, Shawna did a phenomenal job with my hair color. I had been highlighting my hair blonde (my hair is a dirtier, mousier color) for years, and went to her for some advice on getting back to a more natural shade.
