Delicious waffles serves up hot and freshly made in one of Gig Harbor's historic locations - Finholm's Market. We went to get chicken and waffles for my wife's birthday since she has always wanted to try them - I got a waffles with strawberries, sweet cream and powdered sugar. Both were good but the chicken and waffles won the day. Even the drip coffee was spot on! We chatted a bit with the owner/chef couple who were friendly and attentive. Definitely will eat there again! It's "take out" but there are plenty of comfortable tables to eat at plus you can buy whatever you want from the market to supplement your meal. read more

Wildwood Waffles is inside the Finholm's Markey & Grocery store. We have been to Finholm's twice now and the first time it looked like there was a restaurant here along with some seating but we were just checking out the store since it was our first time here. We were planning to come to Gig Harbor again very soon anyway and planned to come back here and eat. We were under the impression here that the restaurant served sandwiches but that is not correct. It is a waffle place in which you can get sweet and savory waffles. When I am at a waffle place and I have the choice of and I am hungry enough I will get a savory waffle and a sweet waffle. That was just such the case here and so sweet and savory waffles were ordered. I ordered the Blackout which was a sweet waffle with whipped cream cheese, jam and some powdered sugar. For the savory waffle I got the The Hilltop which was a chicken and waffle arrangement with breaded chicken, maple syrup drizzled on it and some powdered sugar. Both waffles were good! They are served kind of in a rolled up manner and not served flatly on plates so it makes them easy to become "to go" orders if that is your desire as well. But if you want to sit and relax the dining setting is nice and laid back. read more

Not quite what I had expected, but I'm still glad I ate here! The waffles are folded sort of like a taco with the toppings inside. I ordered the Gig's Up with added banana, and my husband ordered the Benji. The food was tasty and prepared quickly. It was wrapped in foil so it's easy to-go food if you're walking around the area. The cashier wasn't too friendly, and the restaurant is technically inside of a convenience market, part bar? That's the part I wasn't expecting, but it was cool. Very local small town vibes, and most people were drinking beers and chatting rather than eating waffles. I'll come back, probably take it to-go though. read more

Went again for the second time!!! Their gluten-free waffle is amazing! I can't eat very many places and this has so many options for me. My husband and I like a casual not busy atmosphere and this is perfect for us. Especially when Devoted kisses is streaming out the door and it will be super loud in there. Really wanted to like this place as we love visiting Finholm's in general! We also had intentions to ask if we could place a 12ish waffle order for my daughter's birthday party a week later. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre which had us going with another option for her birthday party. The lady at the front was hidden behind the counter, and quietly greeted us. She did a good job explaining which flavors were popular on the menu when I asked though. When our order was ready, she barely stated they were ready and put them down quickly before turning around again to clean. At least a "have a great morning" or "thanks for visiting" would've been nice. The waffles themselves were tasty - though I would've preferred the waffle on the crispier side. They got soggy quick too (we took it to go and we only live 4 minutes away). Anyways, another local business got our breakfast order for my daughter's birthday party! Would maybe attempt it again if I'm in Finholm's for something else, but wouldn't make a stop here specifically. read more

The cafe across the street had a 30+ minute wait so we decided to try Wildwood Waffles in Finholm's market. Boy are we glad! This was the best breakfast waffle ever. We got "16" ham n cheese and a custom waffle with bacon sausage and pepper jack cheese. The maple butter totally brought it up a notch! We will be back! Yummy! read more

Could be great with some tweaks but customer service is definitely not there. Went in for our first time and stood there for a good 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. The lady was making an order so I did not expect her to stop but to maybe say "hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can" just completely ignored us. when she did take our order it seemed like we were inconveniencing her.
