Devoted Kiss Cafe was a restaurant we had in mind to go to when we were coming back from a trip from Port Townsend. We left there early and by the time we reached Gig Harbor we were most certainly in the mood for breakfast. Apparently lots of other people did to and also it must frequently that idea in town as it was quite busy. We were informed that there was a wait but it wasn't a bad one and the restaurant looked highly enticing so we put our names on the list. When we were called we sat at the bar. Which was fine... we weren't about to be choosey. We ordered our food and we enjoyed immensely when we got it. I got a waffle with strawberries and cream which was amazing! The waffle was perfection, the fruit was fresh. Just wonderful! I also saw breakfast potatoes and they looked great too so I ordered some of those too. No big surprise... they were excellent! Steve and I both got a Bloody Mary and it was so good! It had a nice, spicy kick to it and was great! Some mornings call for a Bloody Mary and this one fit the bill nicely! I walked into this bustling cafe at 8 on a Sunday morning and claimed one of the few remaining seats. The drink menu was impressive (soda, coffee, cocktails, mocktails(!!), beer and wine). All the bros are shaving away in the kitchen hen, but the mamas and sisters have this place humming like a top! Coffee is some of the best I've had, and the mimosas are heavy on the prosecco and light on the juice. This is our first weekend in WA state and this was an experience I needed cuz I don't want to be here lol. The hievos rancheros were amaze-balls, but then again, I've never had any good huevos in FL. My son and I came here around 11 on a Wednesday. We had about a 20min wait until we were seated at the counter. The view was nice. The service was ok. They were busy and we had to request things like a straw and a spoon for the soup. The prices were a bit high for the amount of food. The food was good. everything ever written about this place is most likely true. i'm sure on the weekends this is one of THE places to hit for breakfast in gig harbor but since my friend lives right up the hill from here, we waited til monday morning and went without having to wait or fight for a place to sit. we were actually given our choice of sitting inside or out and my thinking was, "we have plenty of months during the year when we're essentially forced to eat inside due to weather and it was a sunny morning so why not sit outside on the deck overlooking the boats and water?" service was prompt and polite in terms of bringing menus out to us, plying my friend with her necessary caffeinated beverage and placing in front of us two gorgeous plates of food! my friend got the corned beef hash and she always claims she loves it because of the mustardy cream sauce and the tiny roasted potatoes. i got the vegan, despite not being vegan. a heaping plate of roasted veggies that was lovely to dig into. i would definitely recommend this cafe for breakfast and can't imagine its lunch offerings are of any lower caliber. there's tons of choices and the flavors are wide ranging. we left very satisfied with full bellies! read more

This has to be the 1st time, I've gone to a hyped up Restaurant and it held up to the hype. We got blessed as we didnt have to wait for a seat. We got in our Server Victoria was A1. She knew the menu was able to tell is what is good, she offered solid recommendations. She returned often to check on us to make sure we were ready, when she saw we were confused she was willing to stay and have a brief conversation about what we should order, I told her I wanted to try everything (jokingly) and she mentioned they do 1/2 plates. She said I can get 1/2 biscuits & gravy & 1/2 corned beef hash. I was immediately sold as I wanted both of those. It was the PERFECT pairing. The best gravy I've ever had it was thick and it didnt make the amazing biscuit it was smothered in soggie. How? I dont know, I just come to consume lol. Some of my favorites are Devo's favorite and the ham and egg croissant, but everything here is awesome. Except the wait on the weekends, but you can see why. The coffee was hot and our food was delicious. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, and honestly at first I was expecting lox like I've had at other restaurants. Here you get a full chunk of actual smoked salmon filet, way more filling and meal worthy if you ask me. Their fresh hollandaise sauce is so creamy and is literally the best sauce I've had in my life. And in between benny bites I used the potatoes to soak up that saucy goodness on the plate. Every bite was perfect! My husband enjoyed his carne asada breakfast tacos, and he's usually picky on his breakfast haha. The meat was juicy and has an authentic carne asada flavor. We ordered two spiked chai tea lattes and a carrot mascarpone muffin to split as starters. Both were great. The muffin also had a crumble topping and came to us fresh and warm. For brunch we ordered biscuits and gravy and an eggs Benedict (my standard brunch). Entrees arrived quickly. First, the gravy for the biscuits is phenomenal. Seriously. Top 5 of all time. Wow.
