Great recommendation from a friend! We was passing through Sioux Falls and was told to try The Dive. My 12yr old daughter said her slider was "amazing". We stopped in for drinks and dinner because we saw a few social media posts talking about the food. We were very disappointed that after taking a seat at the bar - nobody acknowledged that we were even in the restaurant. Staff were washing dishes in the kitchen and the bartender was putting away glasses - we made eye contact with both to no avail - after 10mins we walked out without even one person saying a word to us. Happy to give our money elsewhere. read more

First off, wowed by the staff. The bartender was so beyond friendly and the atmosphere was like being in your local bar. Very chill and very laid back. It also seemed clean and well taken care of. So I would return for the friendly service alone. I do not want to be offensive when it comes to the food, because I believe they work hard and it is very freshly-sourced and made in-house for most of the ingredients. That being said, I tried the "double Bogey" burger which the bartender said is based of a past local's custom order... and to be honest I just didn't jive with the combo. Personal preference I don't want PB or cranberries on my burger in the future.. my friend's spicy bbq looked far superior to me! Onion rings while looking very much handbreaded in house were extremely crunchy if that's your thing. I think it all comes to personal preference here, and it just wasn't my personal favorite. So I was looking for good places to eat and seen the pics and was super impressed.... WRONG!!! Completely CATFISHED!!! Burgers are extremely THIN and not even close to the pic. The fries mid at BEST, ketchup NOPE hello sugar mixed with tomato sauce . Pickles were decent that's the only thing. Nope ‍ don't be catfished!!!! The inside was clean not busy which now I know why. But it's suppose to be kid friendly but it's NOT... beware if you take your kids there they don't watch what they talk about the guys inside were very loudly talking about how cum tastes . Checked this place out on a Wednesday evening around 530p. It's a casual vibe inside a strip mall. There's seating in the restaurant and in the hall outside the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by the solo waiter working. I ordered their pork tenderloin sandwich with the hot honey and coleslaw on top. It was HUGE but definitely disproportionate to the bun--so a knife and fork was a must. Pork was tender and breading was delightfully crisp and not too think. Hand-cut fries with homemade ketchup was a nice touch. My friend got sliders with just cheese (she's boring) and enjoyed them. Stopped in to eat. Had never been here before. Saw all the good reviews. Place was about half full and only a couple tables had not been served yet. We waited for 20 minutes with out even being acknowledged. While we were waiting we watched a couple at the bar with their dog. There was a water bowl on the floor for the dog. When they got ready to leave they picked the bowl up from the floor and set it on the bar. There was also live music that evening. The music was fine but with such a small space we couldn't have a conversation because of the volume. Worst service ever. We got up and left. read more

Nice little buger joint located in a little strip mall. Not really noticeable unless you're specifically looking for it. There aren't a whole lot of tables inside the restaurant but there are more tables just outside the front door, in the mall. Our server was very friendly & helpful, giving us a quick rundown of what they offer & how everything is homemade. Our burgers were very good, & according to my wife, the beer-battered onion rings were the best she's ever had. I agree, pretty tasty! We'll definitely be back. Recommended! read more

Excellent service, tasty burgers with brews on tap... and the best onion rings (and the condiments were spot on too!) I've ever had in my life! It was pretty slow when we went (for a Friday evening) but it looks like a lively fun place with some cornhole available to play. Got take out lunch for 2 adults and one child. The child had a solidly good grilled cheese. Both adults tried the Dive burger - one as presented on menu and one with added onions and bacon. We stopped here from Texas on our way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The food here is excellent! I had the Mushroom Swiss burger with French fries and my wife had the green chili bacon burger with onion rings. The burgers were really tasty. But, the real stars of the meal were the sides. It is unusual to get hand cut fries that are also really crispy like they serve here. They are among the best I've ever had. The onion rings were even better. If we're ever in Sioux Falls again, this is a definite repeat stop. The only reason I can imagine for there not being a long line down the block is that we ate there at about 3:30 p.m. read more

This popped up as top in yelp so my husband and I wanted to give it a try after another review said how the mushroom burger was so good it made her want to cry, and others saying how amazing the onion rings were. I got the mushroom burger and it was so juicy and so well seasoned... it might be the best burger in town! My husband got the Dive Burger and he said he was glad I picked this spot to eat. The onion rings were the crunchiest juiciest onion rings I've ever had in my life! I felt like I was at the fair but better. They also homemake their own ketchup and ranch, I was skeptical as nothing beats Heins, but very good. Would 10/10 recommend! Service was great you just order at the front! Also loved the ambiance, we chose to sit in the front so our twins could run around. There are even games you can play while you wait. read more

The menu is a bit limited, but what they have is really great! It's pretty a pretty casual vibe and when we went, the whole staff was really friendly. And that includes the kitchen staff! If you sit at the bar area, you can see the whole kitchen, and they were really happy we loved the food! Do yourself a favor and at least go for the fries! No kidding. I'm a bit of a potato connoisseur and can confirm that they have the best. Also, they have the most delicious homemade catchup! Definitely! The "hot chicken" was way better than the alleged authentic hot chicken in Nashville. Everything was freshly made, including the ketchup! My wife had the cheese steak and loved it. The Dive is inside a cool little mall and they have seating outside of the restaurant but inside the mall, which provides a great place to dine year round. Hannah, our server, was friendly, fast, and ensured our order was accurate. We are from south Texas and found The Dive on Yelp based on the reviews. My hope is my review gains them a few new regulars as well as a bunch of travel-through guests like us. Enjoy!! read more

This is the best burger I've had in a LONG time. It's an Oklahoma smashed burger, with onions fried into the meat. I've seen these on tv before, but never had one. It was better than I thought it would be. The fries are hand cut and fried twice so they were the crispiest I've ever had, outside of the frozen battered kind. These are what 5 Guys fries are supposed to be, but never are. They also make their own ketchup! This place should definitely be at the top of the list when it comes to best burgers in Sioux Falls. read more

The food at the dive is so good the burger is so good the crisp on the on the burger omg and the sauce and the freshness is so good, I also had a Caesar salad with chicken and a cherry quirk beer it's a seltzer beer and it is so good if you like seltzers I recommend to try it.
