Also thought the fried fish should have had a crispier crust. The fried chicken was good flavor and texture on fried crust but the white meat was very dry. Mashed potatoes and gravy were lukewarm and not served hot. Also I tried to season the mashed potatoes but the pepper grinder at the table was completely empty. Biscuit was dry, overcooked, and lacked butter. Probably will opt for other options next date night.

Easily the most poor front staffing I have ever experienced. The lady at the front was unbearably rude. Was upset that she had to take a moment of her day to tell us it was open seating. The most unwelcoming attitude ever experienced at a restaurant ever. Period. After tipping her what I believe she deserved ($0.00) and writing a note apologizing, simply explaining to her that from my personal experience I do not believe she deserved a tip. She got upset and said "because I was busy?!" Obviously understanding that her attitude was far below acceptable, and blaming it on being "busy" as the restaurant is 1/3 full. After that encounter I walked away from the counter, at which she re- approached me and said "can I ask you a personal question" to which I responded "yes" she said "have you ever been a server or bartender" to which I responded... "yes". She than stated that I do not know what is going on in her life and that it was "rude" I don't entirely believe it is appropriate to trauma dump a customer because they tipped you what they believed you deserved. The man behind the counter was incredibly helpful and managed to make things right. I have been to thousands of restaurants, I have never had an encounter this poor in my life. I may be a bit biased because Shiloh one of the bar tenders is my roommate and he did tell me to write this but he did tell me to be honest that's because he knows I love Will Call .... First I'll start with the bar itself its a sweet setup with a big nice bar and cozy booths against the walls .... Everyone can see everyone .... I live across the street and it's definitely the new neighborhood bar and a good place to bump into your neighbors as well as make new friends with neighbors ..... Gonna be so sweet in the summer, the patio is big , with picnic tables and two Fire pits .... Drinks are bomb and they have a killer happy hour that's from 4 to 7 and 10 to close which is 2 o clock every night .... Great divides for 3.50, tommy knockers 3.50 , coors light 2.50 and wells are 4 bucks ... Good luck getting a great divide for 3.50 at the brewery .... The food is so so good .... I typically stick to the Angus burger and its unreal and so are the chorizo sliders .... The arepas are really good too but I'm a simple man who loves burgers .... I will be back probably more often than anyone should be at any one place that isn't their home ..... We needed a bar so bad around city gate and I'm just glade its as dope as this one read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF SOCIAL EQUALITY MATTERS TO YOU AT ALL! Walked in, sat down, was offended by some A-H*** named Adam then left. Total time elapsed maybe five minutes. We were told that "hes tired of dealing with people like us". People like us? Like paying customers? Oh, I get it- you mean not white people? Apparently, he's so important here that he can treat customers like dog shit and management/ owners don't care.- Called and left message for a senior manager or owner to return calls to make a formal complaint but never heard back from anyone- I guess they don't care. One day he's going to spew his racist bull**** to the wrong people and end up picking his teeth up off the floor. Adam, you are very fortunate to have pulled your crap on a very patient group of people. You may not be so lucky next time. I think its time we started making these companies lose money based on their apathy regarding employee treatment of customers especially when it comes bigotry and racism. I don't know what insane genius came up with this idea, but after initially refusing this offer, I'm happy to say that I did, in fact, try the Wild Geese and offer my fullest recommendation for this treat. Just the right amount of warm, and this Jameson ("Black Barrel") worked as a nice counterweight. I like the space and there's one booth that serves as sort of a perch above the action near the bar, the spot that I will definitely request the next time I come in. Good times!
