I had cataract surgery done by Dr. Coco, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Everything was explained clearly, which really helped ease any anxiety I had going in. The results have truly been life-changing--my vision is clearer than it has been in years. I also go here for my diabetic eye exams, and I really appreciate how thorough and attentive Dr. Coco is. They take the time to explain everything in a way that's easy to understand and make sure I stay on top of my eye health. I never feel rushed, and all my questions are always answered with care and patience. The staff at Hines-Sight are just as amazing--friendly, professional, and very organized, which makes every visit a great experience.

I received excellent care for many years, including very successful laser treatment, and this office was widely trusted by professional athletes and long-term Denver patients alike. After both doctors retired and the practice was sold, I returned in July after moving back to Denver for an annual exam with a new doctor. While the clinical exam itself was fine, the administrative experience was not. After paying in full for my exam, I requested my eyeglass prescription so I could obtain reading glasses and was refused due to unexplained billing and insurance issues. I was then told I would need to schedule and pay for another appointment instead. Under federal rules, eyeglass prescriptions must be released after an exam regardless of insurance status. The inability to explain charges while withholding my own prescription felt administratively hostile and unnecessarily obstructive. Unfortunately, this is not the practice it once was. I've chosen to move my care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of potential administrative barriers when requesting records or prescriptions

This guy and his lasik machine are miracle workers!…read more I waited 15 years to get lasik because I was a.) terrified and b.) waiting to need reading glasses. Well at age 47, after years of wearing contacts and glasses, I finally made the decision to get custom wave form lasik with monovision. The procedure performed by Dr. Hines could not have gone better. After giving me my "courage cocktail", the procedure took maybe 45 minutes in total. it was pretty freaky, but not scary. I asked Dr Hines how many surgeries like this he had done and he said "40,000". Ok, not his first rodeo. When I left the chair to go meet my friend, with my fancy steampunk goggles and all, I could already tell I could see better! I watched TV that night (in my goggles) and woke up the next day seeing perfectly- I don't need ANY correction for near or farsightedness- NO reading glasses necessary! I had a very good result and a very good experience and wish I hadn't waited 15 years!

It worked, and my mom took me to the optometrist who told my mom I had 20/20 vision. The disposable sunglasses I got to wear after were pretty cool. Flash forward to 2002. I figured I may need reading glasses, but since I hated even wearing sunglasses I ignored it. Then, when I moved to Boulder, I passed my eye exam at the DMV so it was no longer a concern. That was 10 years ago. As the expiration of my driver's license grew closer and my ability to see street signs from a distance was getting progressively worse, I knew I had to have my eyes tested so there were no alarms and no surprises when I went to the DMV. However, I had no idea where to go. After a bit of research, I decided I'd go to Target Optical as I could make a Saturday morning appointment and it was only $59.99 for the regular eye exam, $99 for contacts. The optometrists at each location are independent of Target, so prices may vary depending on the location. Dr. Borden is the optometrist at this location and he is fantastic. The exam was a real *eye opener* and this time I found myself struggling throughout the test. After we were done, Dr. Borden explained everything thoroughly and was really informative. He told me I was a good candidate for contacts and I decided to go in that direction while also purchasing back up glasses. I went through the contact training and both Mary and Patrick were extremely helpful and patient. Really patient. Putting them in and taking them out wasn't as easy as I thought it would be! Mary also took the time to show me their clearance frames which included the lense price and she suggested since I was planning to only use my glasses for back up. I also opted to purchase a polarized pair of Maui Jims, you know to protect my beautiful blues against macular degeneration. With my Target RedCard, the total came to $345.75 for 6 months of contacts, back up glasses and sunglasses. I'm new to this but my understanding from friends is that's a pretty good deal. All in all, I had a great experience with Target Optical. If there was one thing that could make my experience better, it would a bit more privacy while learning how to use contacts. But this is Target so there's only so much I can expect with that one! Another plus? Because I had a recent optometrist appointment I was able to renew my driver's license online. This Target Optical location is as good as it gets and I'll definitely return to see Dr. Borden for my vision needs.

Then Target billed insurance for $350, insurance is billing me for the extra $50. THIS SOUNDS LIKE INSURANCE FRAUD TO ME. BEWARE when using this company. Tomorrow I will see how Target attempts to make this right. They were highly recommended, so we will see.
