When I met her for shopping, I made some quick judgements about some of the items she picked out, thinking, "I'll never wear that." But much to my surprise, those items looked great. Margo nicely pushed me out of my comfort zone/rut of wearing the same colors (hello navy and black!) or buying 3 of one item. It was time and money well spent. I went from wearing about 20% of my clothing 100% of the time (and not feeling so great in it) to 100% of my clothing 100% of the time, and feeling much more confident about how i was presenting myself. Margo was really fun to work with, and although I wasn't sure how it would be shopping with a stylist, it felt like shopping with a girlfriend who was honest, helpful, and fun to be around. I was on a budget and didn't purchase everything that we found, but she did help me find plenty of great pieces and I got an idea of what sorts of brands and styles were a good fit for me. We met three times over the course of a month or two - once for the closet audit, once for the shopping trip, and once for her to put together some outfits with what we bought (she encouraged me to take photos of the outfits, and it's been a lifesaver). It has been years since i did much of this and what i learned was that the costs were now so high that i was tempted to scrap the whole idea . A neighbor suggested i bring some of the pieces into Michael's on Western in Beaverton. I am so glad i did . The framing professionals there know what they are doing and they are patient in assisting you to look at choices. The cost i have found to be less than half of what i was quoted elsewhere. The turn-around time is two weeks or less. The finished product in every case absolutely met my expectations. The result is that my home is really reflecting my own art and taste.
