Sergio from Goodies Cellphone shop saves me from a lot of heartache heart. My IPhone 6 started over heating a couple weeks ago and took it in to the Apple store the following morning. Thinking it would be a simple battery swap they told me my whole phone is fried and a new battery won't save it. I started to freak out and asked I just need to get the photos from the phone but he said they were gone and he started mentioning it wouldn't make much sense trying to save the phone so he began showing me new IPhone models. I immediately started sobbing and told him I didn't care about the phone I just needed the pictures; it held pictures from my dog that recently passed away and meant the world to me. He did say he was sorry but once more reiterated that they were gone. I was distorted and walked away in tears, I knew I should have backed them up but it was too painful to go through them. Convinced it was merely a battery issue I went to a batteries plus but when I stepped out of the car I noticed a sign catty-corner that read "Data recovery" and felt driven to go in there instead. The place was Goodies Cellphone Shop and was so glad I did. Sergio heard me out and said he'll do this best to recover the data. After a couple of hours, I went back and preformed a miracle. My Iphone fell into some water and after a few minutes it began vibrating on it's own. Checking the internet for information I saw that it would soon totally fail. I called Goodies and talked with Sergio and came right over to his shop which is conveniently located. I left the phone with him for a few hours and he dried out the inside of the phone and I was able to come back and pick it up and it has been working fine since then. Last week my teenager's cell phone died. OMG it's the FREAKING APOCALYPSE! It was Thursday night so the next morning we visited our local battery store before school to see if that's what it was. No. And not helpful. The guy was a total grump.Ugh. Then I looked on Yelp and found this place. Tucked in an old house near Tom's Pancake's and the vintage store, I never knew it existed. Sergio pushed a couple buttons and BOOM Princess' phone was restored to beautiful life. Oh thank goodness. Magic. He didn't charge us for that. Nice man. ( Princess gets in the car clutching her android baby to her heart and says fervently " I LIKE HIM.") Since I was already there I made arrangements with him to fix the cracked screen on my Samsung. I had dropped it in my driveway a week after I got it.Klutz. It made me sad to look at it. Sergio ordered parts, took money, and told me he'd call me when they came in. He did call the following week and on Friday I dropped my phone off so he could fix it. The only hard part was he wanted a phone # where he could call to tell me it was ready. Um. Nope. You have my phone!! I was going to lunch with my ex for our weekly parenting conversation so I gave Sergio HIS number and that worked out fine. Be prepared for that if you have to leave yours there. I wonder if they have ever considered giving customers without an alternate number a cheap simple pager so they would know when their phone was ready to be picked up? Just an idea for those of us with one phone. My phone looks beautiful. No more cracks!! He charged some for labor. All in all it was very fast and way more practical than sending it off to be fixed. Sergio was pleasant and professional. I am happy to support a local family business, too. This worked out well. The kind of thing Yelp is meant to do. P.S. I broke my phone again in October and this time Sergio kindly gave me a loaner phone which he moved my phone's chippy thing to and set up so my number would be on it. Awesome. I came from Medford to see his shop, and from the second we spoke I trusted every word he said. Sergio worked on my phone changing out the front glass and back. He even suggested I use a loaner from the hours I would be without a phone. That was very considerate since I was not to familiar with the area and needed Google maps for navigation. I value and respect this phone repair shop. I'm an electronics technician myself. When I walk in the door here with issues, the technician in charge behind the counter is very friendly and knowledgeable on how to help me out. There's no smoke and mirrors, he doesn't take your phones off into a back room and he knows what he is doing. He will pull out measuring instruments and fix or find amperage draw issues with your cables, why your phone connector or cable isn't charging, can replace broken connectors and screens, somehow he even managed to repair my Water damaged phone back to new. This phone has been for a swim twice but Goodies Cellphone Shop keeps it alive! This guy is a genius. Take your phones here. Well worth the money. There hasn't been a time he was not able to help me with my Apple phone devices. Highly recommended. I just drove 3500 miles from Florida to Oregon recently. I could have had my phone fixed anywhere else between here and there. But I waited until I got back to the west coast to have Goodies Cellphone Shop fix up my busted screen and home button in a matter of an hour or two. I'm so stoked. I had tried everything (I thought) and lost all hope in being able to save the data on my iPhone when it froze (several times over a couple months) while trying to update to the latest software, and I'd rather do just about anything than make a trip to the Apple Store. Ugh. When I took it to Sergio he honestly didn't seem all that optimistic either. About 6 hours after dropping it off he called and said it was ready to go. 'You couldn't save it?' I asked. Our Moto Droid Turbo quit charging so we took it to Verizon and they told us that the phone was bent and they couldn't do anything for us. Our only choice with them was to pay off the phone ($325) and lease a new phone! We decided to take it to Sergio and he informed us there would be a $30.00 diagnosis charge for taking the phone apart. He called the next day and said the motherboard had failed. We had him replace the motherboard and the phone has worked great ever since. He is very trustworthy, honest and kept us informed throughout the process. It took about 2 weeks due to delays with the post office delivering the part. He even has rental phones, but since we had a spare, we didn't need one. We were very happy with his service and would recommend him to family and friends. read more

Yesterday I brought my old iphone 5 in for a standard screen replacement. They had my part on hand and I didn't need to come back the next day (which I'm thankful for because i live out of town). from the first minute i met sergio, i knew i could trust him to do what I needed. sometimes you can just tell when people are genuine. he ran into a small bump along the way- my battery had swelled and made it impossible to put the new screen in. lucky for me he had a new battery too and it was only an additional $20. about an hour before closing i had to call sergio and let him know i wouldn't be able to pick up the phone when i said i would, and wouldn't be available to pick it up until after their business closed. this wonderful man suggested i could meet him elsewhere, while he was out to dinner with his family no less. I'm extremely happy with the service i received from this business and the reasonable price. as a notorious breaker of iphones i'll definitely be coming back again soon!! read more

I recently had my screen replaced at Goodies. I have an iPhone 8+ and dropped it on concrete. My initial experience was positive, I showed up at the shop and they replaced the screen while I did some errands. All seemed find but there as an odd looseness in the top left corner, a kind of 'click' that made me say hmmm. After about a month i knocked my phone off a coffee table to a hardwood floor and it shattered...bummer. So let me explain three stars... I started by driving down to the shop on Saturday, during the posted hours on the website (2:00 on a Saturday afternoon). Sign saying "closed this weekend". Bummer, now I have to find a way to get there during my work hours? I called Sergio and explained my situation. I understand that it fell, that's my bad. But 2 feet to a floor? I've had iPhone since the 3 and this is only the second time I've had a screen break. I tried to explain that perhaps it was an problem with the product (3rd party screen) or perhaps that click on the corner, it was an installation problem. I wasn't looking for a free screen but hey, the screen breaks after a month with a 2 foot fall? That's not Apple quality. Immediate response "it's on the receipt - if there's physical damage no warranty". "What do you want me to do man, it's on the receipt". OK, well, first off - is there a better screen that I might want to consider? Something with Apple quality? Or perhaps a discount? I mean I'm coming back to you after 30 days - repeat customer? Full disclosure, he did say "bring it in and I maybe I'll give you a break." So another drive to Beaverton and 'maybe' I won't pay full price? Remember - it's on the receipt, physical damage and no warranty. I've dropped this phone lot's of times, there's damage of course it's 2 years old. So three stars. Yes, I got what I paid for. Nothing extra nothing less. That's a C in my book. Quick look on YouTube and Amazon and I can find a screen and replace it (I'm a handy guy) for $30 no issues. I can break my screen four times and repair it in less time that I've wasted with Goodies. If your intimidated by tiny screws I'd still recommend looking elsewhere. Random hours, no customer service and quality products? Not so sure here. read more

Sergio was every bit as good as his reviews said he would be. I came in with two devices, an android that I'd gone to my carrier for help with (their advice, buy a new one), and an iPad with a headphone jack broken off deep inside that I'd taken to the apple store, for which I'd received similar advice. Sergio fixed the android issue within minutes! The iPad problem was a bit more involved, but he still managed to fix that perfectly in a third of the time he'd originally quoted! Crooks. Came in to get a phone screen replaced. They were really busy. Was told that the whole phone would most likely be totaled before he even tried. This shocked me as the phone just needed a new screen. Left my phone with him for a couple of hours. Came back and was told my phone was totaled. There was no way to repair it. He said I would need a motherboard and screen. The worker told me he tried multiple screens on the phone. The worker offered to buy the phone from me to waive the service fee. Reluctantly paid the 30 service fee and left. I went home and decided to try a friends old cracked screen to see if it would work. Now the iPhone works fine. read more

When I went into Goodies Cellphone Shop, I was already feeling the loss of my phone but was pleasantly surprised when I was told it would be just a couple of hours for the diagnosis. Like most people when your cell phone quits working you are in quite a bit of panic. We depend on the technology so much that the thought of not having use of a phone for a period of time is distressing. Sergio was freindly and informative regarding what had failed on my phone and since I would have to wait to come back the next day, he offered to give me a loaner phone.
