This is a really nice home goods and kitchenware store, located on the second floor of Riverside Mall. The store is filled with thousands of different types of products for kitchen, dining, cooking, baking. There are several food products as well like candies, cookies, coffee beans, teas, sauces, spices bakery good mixes and so much more. They had a huge display of coffee machines as well. The products are very nicely placed in the shelves, well organized and easy to check them out. We walked around the store for a while. Realized all the products were very expensive. We bought a bag of marshmallows for $20, a peeler for $20 and a strainer net that was $65. I should have checked the prices before walking to register :p. There were multiple associates, some were helping customers with products, others were providing friendly checkout service at the register. I was little disappointed with peeler as it didn't peel fruits that well. read more

What's not to like about Williams-Sonoma? We happened to visit their grand reopening weekend. They relocated to the 2nd floor at the Shoppes of Riverside. Staff was friendly and helpful. The store was beautifully organized and made me want to buy everything. Luckily I was only in town visiting and had a carry on suitcase so that prevented me from buying too much. Although, my sister had no problem shopping. read more

Staff here is so nice and very helpful! I came here to pick up a registry gift that I had pre-ordered, and then they even said that they wrap it so I had them wrap it! While I was talking to one of the associates or the manager, not sure, he was letting me know that they have classes and I think now I'm going to go to one because it seems like a lot of fun! The store is very well kept, and they have a lot of stock which is good. read more

I was desperate looking for some good Japanese knives because I was a day late already for a birthday. So I felt this place was a good bet for me to try. and although the selections to pick from were small the staff was searching high and low in the backroom to come up with a set for me. And add a megnetic knife holder and I was set to go. So if the birthday girl was not pleased with the belated present that was soon forgoten knowning the knifes came from Williams Sonoma. read more

Considering the mall has just had a major renovation William Sonoma is still a gloomy store circa 1995. WS has very poor lighting and a strange layout. No one ever offers you assistant at this location. read more

I purchased an item on Wednesday that was shipped to the store for pick up. I was informed that the item would arrive by 3-4 business days (possibly Mon or Tue of the following week). I received a phone call late Saturday afternoon (5pm) from a gentleman named Orlando that my item arrived. I was pleasantly surprised and he informed me that the store closes at 7pm. This store location is closed on Sundays and due to my work schedule during the week, I really wanted to pick up the item. I arrived by 6:30pm and Orlando was near the doorway and greeted me. I told him I was picking up an item and he knew who I was. He confirmed the item and brought it out from the back stock room. I want to say, thank you to Orlando who took the time to call me and let me know that my item arrived despite that it was late in the day. I appreciate his professionalism, kindness and great customer service! You made my day! read more

I called the store asking for a manager I knew from the past which told me to call if I had any questions. I asked for her by name and the lady says please hold which i did and then this guy Charlie gets on the phone and says Stop calling here and he knows my voice and the manager is not there and has not been there for a year! I did not know that and was innocently make a call to ask about a product. This was so disturbing! I told the guy he must be mistaken and I have not called there or been in the store in long time!! I will not be visiting or buying Williams Sonoma products from that store every again! read more

Last time I went here I had a truly awful interaction with a sales associate. I was trying to buy something and there were only two sales associates. One had gone to the back to look for something for one customer. The other was helping a customer at the counter to look up something online. I just wanted to let the counter associate know that I was ready to checkout, not just browsing. I just said, "Hi," and smiled to let her know I was there. In response, the counter associate said, "I AM HELPING SOMEBODY RIGHT NOW," in the nastiest tone of voice. The customer at the counter and her husband both looked visibly shocked but said nothing. After I got over my initial shock, I put what I was going to purchase on the counter and walked out. I asked my friend who witnessed this interaction if was I being overdramatic and he confirmed that the woman was unbelievably rude. Go to Sur La Table, nicer people work there. read more

As a chef, I was totally embarrassed I forgot my apron on a business trip. So dumb. I checked target and there was only a floral print one for the housewife, that wouldn't work for my cooking demo/training to seafood companies. I realize William Sonoma may be the only ones that have a good selection of aprons. And yes, they do. For $20 William Sonoma brand in about 6-8 colors, awesome, saved me. My client did laugh as there was a William Sonoma logo on my chest. read more

Walked in here around 1:30pm on Tuesday to buy an $800 espresso machine with the wife. They had one worker helping a customer and another staff who looked at us and just walked into the back office. Waited by the espresso machine section for 30 minutes for the worker. She was to busy helping a customer pick out spatulas and pots on their website. Not once did the sakes associate acknowledge us. Never said "Hi", or "be right with you" or anything. When the wife said "excuse me", the associate didnt respond and just walked right past us. I walk upto the associate who was i front of the computer with the customer picking out random items and said "excuse me". She didnt even look at me. After waiting another 10mins, we walked out. Wife and I felt discriminated against since we are asian and the sales associate didnt think we were going to buy anything. Even so, she should have at least said Hi. Will never go here again, i am ashamed to have purchased so many products at william sonoma before. I drove over to sur la table and we were taken care of with much better service. read more

Why are people getting so rude in the world :( I came here after a very friendly and helpful male William Sonoma sales associate sold me a Vitamix. I was almost 100% certain I was going to keep it after mulling over whether I should buy the expensive appliance for almost a month and reading different review guides, but he told me that their policy was that I could use it for a month to see if I wanted to keep it permanently. I used the Vitamix once to make a smoothie and realized that while it's a very powerful appliance, it didn't work for me because I make very small portions that are usually only for one person, and that the mixing stick that came with the product didn't help keep the relatively small amount of ingredients near enough to the blade so that they could be properly blended. As it was nearly $700, I decided to return it. I went to the store yesterday, and there were two women working there, both of whom were IMMENSELY annoyed that I came to return the mixer, which I had very carefully put back together after washing thoroughly, taking about half an hour to make sure everything was packaged as it originally had been. The woman returning it kept making me feel embarrassed by saying "oh god, oh god" and telling me again and again that I was the "only" person she had ever seen to have returned it. The woman next to her, who I believe was the manager, was worse. I asked her a question about how my money would be returned, and she was very condescending and belittling. This is a shame, because my family and I have been such big fans of W. Sonoma since I was a little girl, and although very expensive, coming in here and buying their products made the various approaching seasons seem more fun and holiday-like; W. Sonoma felt like it had a family-connection. I will never, ever be frequenting the store again because I think that the management needs to review the staff's behavior because what transpired last night is unacceptable. read more

I love shopping at Williams Sonoma. It's my go-to place for cookware, tools, electrics and pantry essentials. But I was rather disappointed by this particular store. When my husband I walked in, nobody bothered to greet us or ask if we needed any assistance. Mind you, the store was empty with the exception of one other couple browsing. We spent a good 30 minutes in the store without anyone helping us. One of the sales people acted annoyed when we inquired about an item we couldn't locate. We picked up a few things and paid for them. On our way out, I stopped to look at the new Nespresso VertuoLine machine by the door. (I have a Nespresso OriginalLine at home. And I was wondering what the differences between the two are.) That's when I heard the sales lady's condescending tone say: "Oh, we're not making coffee today." Really?! So much for customer service... I'd rather drive to another Williams Sonoma store. read more

Horrible services!! Don't go there !!! I was trying to return an item to that store, she told me since this is a sale item I cannot return it. All sales final. I told her no one told me is a final sale when I purchased this. She said is on the receipt. I told her I got the receipt after I paid for this item, someone should told be before I paid for it. If someone provide me that information , I may not purchase it. This is not a good business model, I will file a compliant to my credit card company. Then she said and I quoted " WOW" "WOW" for several times. Then I asked what is her name because she clearly was rude to me. She said her name is Paula, and at that moment, another associate walk by asked her what happened and whom she also told me her name is Paula, she clearly wanted to confuse me. Then she said she will call security , at that moment Im already leaving the store, there is no reason to call security , she just wants to humiliate me?!!! At first, she was willing to accept the return, but noticed the item was purchased from the bridgewater, NJ store so she refused to accept the return. Their stuff always overpriced, I thought I paid extra for good service, I guess I was wrong , from now on I go to bed bath and beyond to buy the exact same product with my 20% coupon!!! read more

Can't believe it but I actually went in twice to this store to TRY and buy the Philips Air Fryer and a couple of grill spices we love last night but with no success. At 6 PM on Friday, found the store totally inundated with customers but with only one sales associate and 1 back inventory staffer. She was extremely nice but busy so I asked when they closed and they told me 9PM so I offered to come back after our movie and she was appreciative. We did, and while waiting by the register, we tried some samples and when an associate finally showed up (a different, older lady than the one I met at 6 PM), she approached me with a lecture that those were not samples (no greeting, and why were those treats by a register then?). I apologized and told her we thought they were samples and thought we would try them while waiting for someone, and then she proceeded to correct me that she "doubted we were waiting that long"! I had never felt so unwelcome trying to spend $400 in a store before so as much as I was looking forward to finally bringing home my appliance, I felt horrible and told her that I didn't feel good about buying anything anymore and left. This store staffer needs hospitality training and should keep her snacks under the counter if she feels that strongly about not sharing! read more

In general, I like Williams Sonoma. This location is a pretty typical example of the high end retail kitchen supply chain. It's great for house warming gifts or a gift for your domestic god/goddess friends. You can see all of the latest small kitchen electrics, nice cookware, and it's nice to browse the cookbook section. Prices are the typical MSRP unless you catch a sale. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Charlie the manager is one of the rudest, condescending, inconsiderate people I have come across. If he has such a piss poor attitude and is not into actually helping the customers then he should not be in his position. It is a shame that a store with a good reputation is brought down by terrible employees as such. Charlie canceled my online order a day before Christmas with no reason given, did not notify me and basically robbed me of my gift cards which I still to date have not been refunded for. Still bought the product at a different WS and paid full price on my credit card plus my lost 177 dollars. He refused to help try and locate another store which had my item (turns out the Hackensack location did have the Airfryer I attempted to purchase, they did not have the measly 13 dollar cookbook that went along so he prematurely decided to cancel my entire order with any notification) and had a piss poor attitude while doing do. He was very passive aggressive in store as well to my sister who went to pick up the remaining item I ordered. To WS customer service, Charlie is a poor example of what a manager yet alone an employee should be, he has absolutely zero consideration, poor attitude, lack of human decency and essentially ruined what should of been a nice Christmas gift. I will never frequent this store again. Charlie, you should be ashamed of how you handled yourself. read more
