They are a con! I have ordered 3 times from WS website. First I ordered a knife- their delivery date was 10 days after I made the order. I canceled 2 months after I ordered the knife because never arrived. 2nd time I ordered Coasters they also came 4 month after ordering. Now I ordered a Smug frother. I made the order on November 20th. They have changed the delivery date 4 times. It's March 16th and still waiting. I called to cancel the order. I LOVE shopping at the WS Home store in Calabasas. The Team is very friendly and helpful, the selection and little display vignettes are beautiful and inspiring, and the offerings are always changing. I am just finishing remodeling/redecorating my home in Sherman Oaks and purchased all of my major living room and family room items and accessories from Sy at the Calabasas store. Really rude. FYI this is a 'Home Store' not a typical Williams -Sonoma. Although this is not called out on google or Apple Maps. Limped in with a broken toe to exchange some items from my wedding registry and was loudly told across the store I was in the wrong place. No hello, No thank you, not offer of help in locating the correct Williams-Sonoma... very jarring. Update: After going to the Williams-Sonoma at Topanga Mall (were the service was fantastic) we learned that the 'Home Store' could have processed our return but didn't want to. WARNING - DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU MAY NEVER GET YOUR MERCHANDISE AND IF YOU TRY TO CANCEL THE ORDER, THEY WON'T LET YOU. If I could give this company a less than Zero rating I would. I placed an order on Oct 9th online with an estimated delivery date of October 25. It didn't arrive so I checked on the delivery which was then scheduled for November 9th. When it didn't arrive then, I checked again and am now advised that this item will no arrive until November 24 - which will be about two months after I placed the order - if it arrives then which I doubt. In calling to cancel the order, I am advised that I can't cancel and must wait until it arrives and then refuse the shipment. The problem with that would be that I wouldn't get a credit for my purchase until (if and when) the item is received back in the warehouse and a credit is processed by them. Look, if you're going to leave your showroom furniture out as a marketing ploy, you are going to have to deal with all sort of people. My family sat at their couch set and my small children were walking around with small pieces of bagels in their hands. We also set water canteens that were sealed on the table. My son was taking their no food and drink sign and clanging it on the table so we temporarily put it on top of a nearby bush with the intent to replace it afterwards. They kicked us out citing "food and drink." While technically yes we had both and they don't want food and drink on their furniture, none of this was going to make a mess. The store rep came out and offered to sell us furniture if we wanted to continue sitting there. I get it. Don't ruin their stuff and they have rules but in all honesty, this should be applied consistently to all customers. They leave a dog bowl of water out for pet owners so obviously they have no problems with dog owners (or drinking water for dogs). The gripe I have is the condescension we received from the store rep. I guess white privilege really taking a foothold at a place like this. Williams Sonoma at the Rick Caruso Plaza in the Calabasas Commons. There could have been a much better way for the store rep to deal with this. Read the room. Family with 2 small children... maybe DONT ambush them and condescend. Looking at the reviews below, it makes a lot of sense. The customer service is historically bad. I guess they think they can afford to have a "f*** you" attitude to people if they price their items high. Except... if your reputation is that bad, how long are you going to stay standing as a store, and in this economy? If you don't want people sitting at your furniture, then don't use it as a marketing tool. Ordered Item (Apron) [Xmas gift] on 17th Nov - just to make sure that i've got it well on time before all the holidays rush..... about 21-22 Nov got confirmation email that item was shipped. tracked my purchase every week but each time delivery date was different.... as of today (many phone calls and many email inquiries) - did not get my ordered item. Each time I check - they are showing different delivery date (they changed it about 10 times already). A wonderful place to find kitchen wares in the Commons. I have been shopping WS for 10+ years and appreciate the service, quality and sale prices. This was one of first stores to carry Calphalon when it entered the retail commercial space a few decades ago. Adding to the selection is my appreciation that they carry Jewish holiday tablewares in addition to fun cultural references such as Frankenstein spatulas for Halloween. There is plenty of parking at the Commons and the store open seven days a week, open until 7pm all days except Sunday, when it closes at 6pm. read more

CUSTOMER disSERVICE is what this company's customer service should be called. Ordered a Kitchen Aid mixer. Bought it from them on line, because I've shoppe with WS since they opened their doors 2 decades ago. they sent me 2 mixers. Their issue. I called and was honest that they sent me an extra mixer. Spent 2 hours trying to sort this with 3 representatives (2 of which hung up on me or disconnected me). In the end, I have to wait from 7am until 9pm to wait for a UPS pick up. AND they refused to give me any sort of incentive for my time. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told they don't take calls. I will never shop with them, or Pottery Barn, or any of the holding company's places of business. All their customer service is rude. I'll go directly to the manufacturer moving forward. read more

Disappointing. Terrible. Do not count on this company if you want to receive the merchandise you purchased on a date they provide with. I was expecting my merchandise to arrive for my birthday, that's why I placed an order 3 weeks before it. I called them 5 days after and they told me that my order was cancelled but they didn't bother to send me an email. So I placed another order by phone and received a confirmation that I will receive it in 2 weeks. I have been trying to get a rather overpriced cheese box delivered for a birthday gift. The first box was damaged and delivery aborted. NO communication from WS. I called the "customer service" and the apathetic agent assured me they will send one out for next delivery. The gift did not arrive on the scheduled day, so I called again. The agent assured me that it was never sent and will send a new one this week. For all of the trouble, they refunded my shipping and gave me 20% off. Meanwhile, a box did arrive to the recipient the next day( the one that was never sent!) which contained putrid smelling spoiled cheese. I love the William Sonoma Home store! It's one of the few stores left, with furniture and GREAT accessories! I redecorated my home in the Asian motif, almost all from WSH, and they have the BEST selection of chinoiserie vases, area rugs, throws, decorative pillows, bedding, frames, etc., as well as awesome furniture. I love the Schumacher fabrics that they carry. My sister who has a more contemporary style, also finds a lot to suit her taste! There's something for everyone! More importantly, the service is amazing! Jennifer Hill, the manager, is my go to! She is so knowledgeable, honest, friendly, patient, and goes above and beyond. The entire staff has design experience and are very helpful! If I had expendable income, Williams Sonoma would be on my list of places to spend it! Greeted with a friendly, "Would you like to try some peppermint bark?" - I wandered in. Why, yes, I would love some. I'm not usually a peppermint person but yum! It was delicious. At just over $25 a box, it could make a nice holiday gift to someone. Aside from the tasty holiday treats, Williams Sonoma has an assortment of items from high quality cookware to kitchen accessories to utensils. Crap company. Ordered a gift basket for a sick friend. It said purchase complete and I received an email saying thank you for your order with no tracking and order number. Of course, it never arrived and they said I used the delivery address as my billing address and it didn't go through. Why did it say it went though at check out? I bought my Nespresso machine through Williams Sonoma because they used to have a very good reputation for standing by their products. It started smoking one day and now won't heat water for coffee, though it will still run it though. I've been trying for about a month to get through to them. The call won't go through at the number they provide. I finally found a way to message them online. It won't put the message through because it says I have the "wrong country." There isn't a box for the country. At this point I feel like the difficulty in reaching them is intentional. I'm giving up on buying products from them. What's the point in spending extra for quality if you get the same crap service and communication you could get elsewhere for a lot less money. read more

Worst customer service and shipping experience I've ever had!!! I ordered a bed from WS Home in February 2022. It was supposed to arrive in early March, and has now been delayed twice. I understand that there are currently a lot of supply chain and shipping delays. However, I have been calling to get updates now for the past 6 weeks and each time I cannot get a straight answer as to where all of the pieces of my bed are or when they will arrive. Simply a nightmare! I was stupid enough to order a convection oven and panini grill from them but I wish I didn't. I asked the order to be delivered on or after November 12. Maybe they don't read English. I got an e-mail from them indicating the order was shipped on November 6! I immediately sent them an e-mail AND called them to reschedule the delivery since nobody was home until the 12th. "No problem" said the customer service representative. Too much of my surprise I received another e-mail from them indicating the order was delivered on the 8th! I sent them another e-mail right away since I have no idea where it was delivered to, we were out of the State. Nobody ever bothered to respond, I have no idea where my order is, so my only choice was to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Maybe they will be more cooperative with VISA. I went to the Calabasas store this evening with my boyfriend's mother at around 7:20pm. We looked around and Stephanie came over to us and offered to help. She was very nice and helpful. While we were talking to her, Rose, one of the managers, screamed to Stephanie words to the effect that we were not buying anything and she had to get moving. Stephanie, my boyfriend's mother and I looked at each other in surprise. Stephanie seemed embarrassed and apologized. We left the store, bewildered. I called shortly after to ask for the names of the individuals involved. I happened to speak to Rose herself, I explained the reason for my call and she gave a half-hearted apology and said "I'm sorry you think I was rude to you." I came in looking to check out the newly opened home section. The store looks beautiful. Too bad the customer service didn't match. I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here. Not only did I want to check out the store, I also came in with a need for new bedding. To my surprise the three team members that were there were too busy and couldn't be bothered. One woman eventually offered to help. The merchandising didn't make sense as all of the bedding was in their stock room. She said only a few options were on the floor. Unless she brought out a piece from every collection that wasn't exposed how else could I or any one else know what their offerings were ? Thankfully I came prepared after utilizing my phone and doing my own research pre visit. But even then, there was a struggle as she didn't know what I was talking about when I listed off names from their collection that I wanted to see and touch before taking home. I can see how product knowledge might be overwhelming here but know what you're selling or at least make an effort to find out something you don't know. Especially when a customer is standing in front of you! The real shock came in as I saw her finally ask for help from her manager and team members...I realized why she hesitated to ask now. They were very nasty towards her and shrugged her off when she needed something. She kept apologizing to these co workers every time she needed to know where to find something or didn't know the answer to a question. I was shocked not to mention very uncomfortable with the lack of support they provided to her. Finally I made up my mind on a set that I liked. We walked to their cash wrap and that process to another 30 minutes. She had issues navigating their POS system and needed to void my transaction several times. This couldn't be done with out a manager signing off each time and naturally the tension continued to build. She didn't know how to properly apply a discount and almost over charged me and tried to argue about it. Now I'm pissed and ready to leave empty handed. The men she was asking for help were not busy and could have EASILY taken over the transaction to help not only myself save time but also assist their peer who was clearly having issues. But they didn't budge ! It was almost as if they were enjoying watching her struggle. I was in total shock and really felt for this woman at this point. I thought to myself ...maybe the sale wasn't going to them so that's what warranted this poor attitude ? No idea what the deal was here. Regardless, super unprofessional and bad taste all around. Finally I pay. As I'm walking out I realize two pillow stuffers I asked for weren't in my bag. I didn't bother going back in because God only knows how much longer that would have taken and wasn't prepared to pull teeth again. Too bad, with such a gorgeous store in an area I assume to be bringing in decent business the customer service will be the death of this place. I ordered 2 outdoor chairs over a month ago that were, allegedly, in stock and ready to ship. I paid their obnoxious delivery fee and my credit card was immediately charged. Since then, I have called and emailed them MULTIPLE times and have either been placed on hold in perpetuity, have been hung up on, or have been told that I need to schedule delivery. When I call to schedule delivery, the delivery company says they don't have the chairs. WS has refused to cancel the order or refund my money. So, literally, the only thing I can do is dispute the charge with my credit card company. I have bought a ton of furniture in the past from WS and I have to say that they have always been arrogant, with their fake sales and exorbitant delivery charges, but this is a new low. I will literally cobble together my own furniture from trees in my backyard before I ever purchase from them again! read more
